I don’t see this contract getting any further in the future.. it won’t benefit the customers in the long run as they can’t put as much stuff out and Frontier is gonna raise the rates as much as they want and the service will remain the same or get worse for the customers. At the end of the day, the city really only cares for the franchise fee revenue they will collect. They never care about people’s needs or reliable service.
The city government should have negotiated with Frontier on collecting extra trash at least! While once a week trash service isn’t detrimental, the fact that no extra bags will indeed affect most households.
Yo! Rancho Cordova, CA also had a final contract with Republic Services. They now have Atlas Disposal Services. They had some curottos, but I heard they were gonna scrap them. Or go to commercial. But the carts will remain the same, no roll out. And the other trucks will go to Citrus Heights and Elk Grove.
Great video. Another one bites the dust. Republic is really on a losing streak. It's sad to see tubbed recycling quietly disappear along with all the old bins, it looked like they had quite the variety too. The mrf must have had a fun time with all of the tubs. Did they pack the old carts too? What were they doing with the pick up of crates?
Thanks Brian, sadly they lost quite a bit this year, but I think some more growth is in the works.. They packed all the trash carts but some of the tubs I can imagine will be packed or just used around the yard
The residents will NOT be fine. Republic offered twice a week collections with the addition of taking any extras, something that frontier won’t do. That’s less the service than what republic was offering
@@wnytrashtrucks once again as stated in my above comment, republics service was way better than what frontier is going to offer, it’s gonna set up for disaster in the future, cheaper does not mean better
@@Cos.1s Personally I’ve lived with both twice-a-week and once-a-week service, and the transition is not that bad, especially if you have recycling. Those trash cans should be half full most of the time from my experience.
We tried. Got under bid by Frontier for once a week trash and no recycling. Selma stepped up and kept Frontier but got twice a week trash and once recycling at the same price. They’ll probably go broke doing all the work and losing money. But it’s definitely politics as usual
Can’t stand frontier

Very typical, city govts only care about price and not services. Great video here, republic down there has some awesome combos
Precisely, glad you enjoyed
That's what I think cities need their own department that picks up garbage instead of companies
@@AmericanUSA2004 government sucks. Most government haulers are highly corrupt

Without a doubt
They did. It’s now twice a week trash and once recycling at the same rate as once a week. But only in cans. Nothing extra or left on the ground
@ with frontier it’s now only once a week

Cheap service always equals bad or poor service.

Awesome video dude
In most of the rest of the country the residents live with once a week trash collection. The residents will be just fine

@@Cos.1s 99% will be fine. The rest of the country/world lives with once a week collection. When contracts change, service usually changes with it.
@@wnytrashtrucks you obviously have never been to Texas….

Alright, I gotta say it. I don't like Republic at all, but this is the one instance where they should have kept the contract.

Frontier taking away almost every contract from WM and Republic
Nice video man. Did you keep any of the tubs that they threw in?
Oh I got plenty
What trucks will Frontier buy for this contract?
Same junk they normally buy
ZRs as usual
W vid.
2020-waste connections and republic services has the contracts in Texas
2024-Frontier taking the contracts
2028-frontier owns USA
