    01. Correction: The lyrics of Jiya Jale from the part under focus are in Malayalam not Tamil. Stupid mistake! My Apologies!
    02. Ravish Kumar has done a way better thematic analysis of Sairat. The link is provided in the description.
    03. You can support the channel by pledging on Patreon so that the channel becomes financially viable to produce more of such content. The link to Patreon is also in the description.
    04. Although I have touched on the science of Phonetics and Linguistics in the video, the field is far wider, complex and dense. I’d encourage people to dive into it if the field interests you.

You are single handedly changing my perception and idea of what a movie can be and what it should be. Sairat introduced me to Marathi cinema and what a movie to begin with. The subtle way in which Nagraj handles the issue of caste, romance and life in general was exceptional.

My favourite part in terms of music was the smooth transition post zingaat .Ajay-Atul give you a catchy party song .When they get into the car ,the transition is so sleek you tend to forget you were listening to a party song and immediately catch up with the romantic tune followed by the serious tune.It brilliantly captures three different emotions in a matter of minutes

Wonderful video! I really loved the fact that sairaat could break so many norms and shine the way it did. I did find a few problems with the story, such as the girl and the guy being "alphas" of their clique. They often showed bullying nature and a flawed moral compass. The boy with rickets was really treated badly. I believe if naagraj wanted he could have normalized his disability. I felt as if the other friends' existence was to further the leads' love story, because god forbid they have a life of their own. I on the other hand really liked the rawness it showcased in the second half.
Overall, I have to say im really impressed by it. I do feel music had a big part in it, as it was the one thing there that had absolutely no flaws

What a great explanation. I am just an ordinary audience, but after watching several videos of your movie analysis I must say, I can look back on some of my favourite movies to understand why I liked them. I hope you continue your hard work. I love to hear the analysis whenever you post.
BTW Sairat is one of my most favourite movies

I really liked your analysis. Many reviewers commented on the 'gender subversion' in sairat including you. I think that
the agency/bravado that the girl exhibits emanates from her caste location, precisely her "upper caste" position in the social order. It is not just a portrayal of a "brave" girl.On the other hand, the boy from low strata/caste has difficulty in exercising agency/showing confidence. Mr. Manjule , who is well aware of that caste reality might have created the characters by keeping this in his mind.

This is such a wonderful analysis of the movie. When people love the movies they love, they often don't know why. Its because the filmmaker could reach into the audience's psyche and create something that will capture their subconscious. And the breakdown of the telling different parts of the story from each character's point of view. Great analysis Vinit! Do check out this TV series called "The Affair". The fundamental concept there being the fact that different characters remember/interpret stories differently. I think you'll like it!

Thumbs Up. Needless to mention the 90% cast of the movie is debutant. The newcomers gave a very raw touch to movie which is the highlight of this movie and public accepted it with whole heart. Zee has made a behind the scenes of Sairat n it truly lets us know how much efforts have been taken for this movie. Yed Laagala is the one of the beautiful cinematic experience. Nice work team.

When I saw Dhadak. The thought came to me was that Sairat is just a normal story, how it turned out to be a 100 crore film that too being a Marathi film not releasing in other language. Now I understood. And now I am going to watch it for sure❤️
