Koby by his own admission has no talent whatsoever. Bro started the series probably weaker than Usopp. But took Garp's hellish training and put 200x more effort on to it just to Close the Gap with Luffy and be the hero he always wanted to be. Koby is hardcore proof that you don't need to be born special or lucky or be part of a monster lineage to be crazy strong. You just have to be super dedicated.

At the exact moment he will learn about Garp being really injured and captured by the pirates of the man who is one of the main reasons of Ace's Death, the sunny will do a "U Turn" and Luffy will solve the Blackbeard problem once and for all.
Kurohige really love stacking reason for luffy to kick his ass from ace to garp although if both die not from his own hand he always behind it... Now he only need to messed up with dragon and sabo and the puzzle complete

I feel like them focusing on the physical training and the fact conquerors haki can't be obtained through physical training is just illustrating how powerful armament haki can be under the right sort of training The animation team doesn't say who's got what, but they do say how flashy a scene should be

@@jedaorose black lighting really just means the amount of haki output being exerted. Colors in the anime are just the studio taking artistic liberty. The only real indication is when fodders are shown fainting or a character will explicitly state it through dialogue.

because they added pointless inner self scenes and the flashbacks, there was only one flashback in the manga(helmeppo's telling to garp about Coby punching shipbags at nights) and thats it, in the manga Coby was more determined and looked more calm. it was more quick to reach honesty impact panel, he just told to prince i have to do something or they gonna die and he used soru to instantly go infront of the hand, in anime however he started to fell down infront of the hand while spinning and inner self flashbacks happening( legit wth is this anime studio thinking...) , its sooo stupid to add those things imo and because of none of those things were in the manga Coby felt like more powerful in there. its just same as Doflamingo vs Luffy Gear 4 final hit, in the manga it was fast so Luffy looked alot of stronger meanwhile anime add pointless things so it felt like their strongest attacks were equal which wasn't the case...

People don't understand how big this is koby is actually the only 1 of the few who can shoot out haki the only ones that was able to do this is shanks roger and garp, it's possible koby might be close to old garps level already and probably could be the one to actually be able to fight equally with luffy but i doubt luffy haki is strong enough yet.
