Brooks Bush used to make these in his basement back in the 90s. Most collectors have no idea it’s on of his.
Those Mohawk haircuts made them look badass. They were way ahead of their time.
They really were.
Marines definitely used regular fixed bales paired with navy leather flight helmets when the paramariens were starting out.
That’s pretty interesting. Thanks for the info.
awesome video! and awesome liner! i mean theres always a chance the camo is origianl ww2 period. you see a lot of variations in pics. but theres also possible little tommy wanted to make grandpas helmet look more like the guys on the combat tv show back in the 50s or 60s. you just never can tell. btw theres another little detail i see on original paraliners that the fakers dont seem to have picked up on. obviously im not going to post it on a public forum as i dont want to help the fakers out. but i did notice it on your liner. anyway great video!
Thanks for watching! Good call, lots of scary good fakes out there. Can never be too careful.
Solid liner, the Inland's bring a significant amount over a Westy example. I had one with the yokes cut out, that ended up selling for $1k.
Nice! Such a rarity in any condition…
Excellent video! Very educational I appreciate these, keeping coming!
Thanks! Will do. I have some fun with these ones.
Great video, very informative. Do you ever come across WW2,Vietnam, or Cold War era Survival Sun hats issued in Survival kits?
Thanks! No, I don’t think I have come across one. I’ll have to start keeping an eye out.
$61.61 on amazon same book
Great deal!
If you ever think of selling hit me up 😁
Is Michel Detrez from the Book a French guy?!
Yes he is.
Thanks. Did he wrote also a book with a green cover about the 101st Airborne division in Normandy?! @@MickFlippins
@@paulwee1924dus I believe so. I know he’s written several books on WW2.
The title is: At the point of NO return. Did you knew this?!@@MickFlippins
Quick question, do you know any information about the early war airborne hawley fiber liner? I have one and I can only find one source of information on it.
I have a little knowledge on them. What info are you looking for about them?
The value of such peice
@@E.T.A.C.501 tough to say with out seeing it. Conditions a big factor. Though I will say the last time I saw a genuine Hawley parachutist liner I think the price was around $4500… Could be wrong it was a few years ago.
@@MickFlippins what if it’s an unused condition, there’s bearly signs of deterioration, the liner is barely used, all the snaps including the liner snaps are like they have never been touched.
Thank you for you help!
