Its nice to read a comment from someone that actually gets it. Elon is a salesman, he tells you what you want to hear to what is actually going to happen.
It’s useless to speculate, Elon surely knows what’s the situation in the world EV industry. Tesla needs to compete with the Chinese EV companies and Elon is definitely well aware of that.
No one seems to be able to answer if FSD cars will be entitled to the autonomous upgrade when it becomes available. Or will it be a separate purchase????
Tesla’s Robotaxi will be a successful brand and millions of people will be able to make money instead of working 8 to 5 daily. Right now here in Vancouver, Canada, Uber drivers are using Tesla M3 and MY. Our gasoline price is around $2/litre and the electricity is 15-20 cents per kilowatt. Use your common sense if which is better, gas or electric.
this guy is clueless. Level4 is not enough for a real business model differentiator. the driver still needs to be behind the wheel, it just that the driver can watch a movie.
So where is Tesla going to get the networking experience and needs to support all these Robo taxis and customers? All the experience that Uber Uber and Lyft have acquired.
Tom, you really disappointed me here. And Model 2 and the robotaxi are going to be built on a totally NEW platform. Get your facts straight before you go on air!!
Tom Narayan has a buyers remorse....the fact is Musk is now bored with Tesla, waiting for his compensation package so he can find his next toy...first find a CEO...
Affordable cars, so more no. of people can buy those, will allow for selling $10K FSD (at 40% of the car cost?). Something I am not getting here. This investment thesis so much stretched for an unknown autonomy future
This guy is huffing on the biggest copium supply I have EVER seen. 60% of his price target is robo taxi which he later admits could be 10 years away. The new car is not a game changer but it is because you can sell FSD. He later admits that the only way to compete with Chinese EVs is to remove the bells and whistles. Again another poor soul falling for the "TSLA is a software company" meme, even if it was, their tech is laughable compared to other products on the market like Waymo who have driven way more mile autonomously and are still years away from a public product. Amazing to see a guy committed to the ride like this. I almost want to applaud him.

margin on 25k cars is at best 5-10%. many of the legacy OEM have given up on them. why would tesla do the same mistake. you can't justify a 600B company based on it. we just need more cars on the road so we can sell fsd(8k profit) and later use them as robotaxi.
Interesting, he so far is the best at explaining why Tesla stock is reacting positively to the earnings call. However even he is not a believer that FSD is close. I’m driving it now and it is clear given that it is improving at the pace of Artificial Intelligence it will be fully autonomous within a couple of years, not a decade down the road. One thing I haven’t heard anyone talk about so far is that Elon said they are opening up FSD to China and all countries where it is allowed.
Tesla is Level 2 so many years before Level 5 is achieved and fully tested. With a Lvl 5 RoboTaxi (or other model EV), Tesla would have to assume the insurance liability. This seems unlikely.
@@briantep458 Lol no it won't. Your average Joe isn't going to pay $100 a month to babysit a driver assistance package that will randomly disengage and force you to take over and assume liability for anything that happens.
