bro i jus got a charger for a cigarette thing in a car and split some wires going to a light in the dash of my scooter that turns on when i turn on my high beams with 12v and it charges my phone, don’t need a fuse because the bike has a inbuilt fuse that will break if it gets messed up. also it can be turned on or off depending on off your high beams are on or off
I am not sure. I need to update this, as there are much better usb chargers out there. When I did this I wired it through the battery with a fuse in series.
Its more work to add a relay. Going through the key is a problem. Anyway, this is old. This charger has a built in old style USB port, and wont work with my new phone. So I got a cheap usb port from cycle gear for 20 bucks. Only draws about 50uA.

Why not just attach to source only on when key is on?Use a relay if you want to be safe.
