as soon as I got feral demon mode, I never used the original demon mode. I'm already used to how slow the demon mode is from something like Gen U compared to World so I'm not really losing anything from it. The animation is from Inner Beast: Ravenous Wolf aka Wolf's Maw and I love it so much. It was my favorite skill in Gen U
I have been really tempted to go back to dual blades. Near the end of world I switched over from charge blade to dual blades. Feral mode feels really nice. Might jump back and forth every so often.
I love it I love how the move is just wolfs maw animation it gives me the chills. Also did you see how the apex monsters are just the deviants dude it’s so doooooope

oh damn! thanks gaijin, didn't know feral increased your attack stat holy moly.. ive stuck with normal demon mode because of the speed and the A button movements... but guess im switching it up now
There is no too much. Prowler is the best. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if Prowler was added in Rise Ultimate. Like, all of the systems from Gen are pretty much there already.
I wish the description on stuff was better. I didn't feel like dodge attacks were worth the trade for slower activation and never would have known about the attack boost had I not seen this video.
Same. When I clicked on the title saying feral was good I got confused. The. He pointed out his attack stat in regular demon mode and realized that feral gave you a attack boost. And oh damn I did not expect it to be so damn huge. It's a massive bonus
Yeah, the translation for effects is super scuffed. Ibushi Soul and Narwa Soul are wrong about how to activate them and what their effects are. Dragon Exploit only works on Wyverns, not Dragons. At least one armor piece has the wrong name. Dango Bombardier is wrong about what attacks it buffs. One weapon confirms a leak by partially naming a monster that isn't mentioned in the game at all, which I'm not going to spoil here.
I've been playing dual blades since portable third, and I can safely say FDM DBs in Rise are my favorite incarnation of the weapon. It's so stupidly fun to be this aggressive all the time

I was using Feral Demon mode with the Felyne dual blades too! It's so much fun. I have constitution 5 with it. Which is admittedly hard to slot in when I need protective polish and Crit boost as well.
This is a great feeling change to Dual Blades, it encourges even closer combat and is incredibly fun to have every animation have an attack. If you love DB, check this out!
I’d just like to add a little tip, you can pretty much negate the feral demon mode windup by activating it in midair, so near a ledge or even when you jump off of a Wyvern ride. And it still does the little attack too.
Just realized I wasn't subscribed. My bad lol Great video! I think I might be picking up dual blades sometime soon. This is my first game and I've been having fun bouncing around learning different weapons.
This is so close to what I used before 2.0! I've been trying to rework it now that we can craft critical boost! I can't wait to make my new kitty claws more op.
i only stumbled about the ability to sharpen my weapon when unsheathed myself just the other day. i never got that deep into MHW, and was so used to play "old style" that I instinctively put away my weapon first every single time.
Here's an advanced technique you can use to reposition yourself after activating your silkbind attack: MHRise's mechanics changed a bit so it lets you change a 180 degrees dicrection literally frameless. This counts for several moves for any weapon, even for activating feral demon mode and demon flurry rush. Try it out: Press ZL+X for your silkbind move and wait for the animation to run out. Dodge towards the direction of the monsters weak point (head), which lets you position near its head. Quickly flick the left stick to the opposite direction and press X+A. Voila. As I said, this counts for several moves for any weapon, but since Ive only played Dual Blades now, youve gotta experiment for yourselves. Hope I could help
I stopped using the piecing bind switch skill mainly because of that back step but I never realized that we do a step forward with the feral demon mode blade dance! I'll probably start using it back! Also I NEED to craft these felyne DB.
Thanks to Gaijin i have been using Raging Claws in any hunt using his build(that i updated a little). Now I am planning on making Raging Claws (Helion mode) + Master's Touch skill.
On god, the decoration balance in this game is fucking absurd. Like, Hellfire Cloak is a really niche ability that you *need* to have at least at level 3 to be able to force one knockdown on a monster per hunt, maybe two if it goes on super long, it does like 60 damage and requires you to either be using a weapon that has a silkbind that counts to remove it, or you have to sheathe and ZL+A. THAT one's a triple-slot decoration Critical Boost and Weakness Exploit though? The two most powerful skills in the whole-ass game? Yeah those are double-slots. Capcom's out of their goddamned minds.
Psa you can also wire dash into the feral mode to make it quicker and when you do the regular dodge in feral mode it uses less stamina than the demon mode dash.
Been using feral demon mode and demon flight and I absolutely love it. My build gives me Evade extender lv 3/ evade window lv 2/ critical eye lv 7/ critcal boost lv 2, but I use the Night Wings so almost every hit I do is a critical. But add in constitution plus using dash juice allows me to just dash back and forth under. Around and over whatever monster while always doing damge. I then added in mind's eye lv 2 so I don't bounce.
The way I play Dual Blades, I like entering and exiting Demon Mode quite frequently, so I think I prefer the speed and flexibility of the regular Demon Mode. And personally I find just pressing A once after piercing bind gets me in position just fine. Still good to know about the Switch Skill, though.

I'm already used to how slow the demon mode is from something like Gen U compared to World so I'm not really losing anything from it. The animation is from Inner Beast: Ravenous Wolf aka Wolf's Maw and I love it so much. It was my favorite skill in Gen U
Wish the demon eye from GU's wolf maw still intact because it's so cool
I have been really tempted to go back to dual blades. Near the end of world I switched over from charge blade to dual blades. Feral mode feels really nice. Might jump back and forth every so often.
1st comment! Indeed OP! Keep up! Your content contributes so much to the community!
I love it I love how the move is just wolfs maw animation it gives me the chills. Also did you see how the apex monsters are just the deviants dude it’s so doooooope
Thanks for showing the Decorations in this video!
Love this! I've been using a similar build with the claws, only difference is fitting evade extender lvl 2 on in order to close the distance when need be!
oh damn! thanks gaijin, didn't know feral increased your attack stat holy moly.. ive stuck with normal demon mode because of the speed and the A button movements... but guess im switching it up now
It's the animation from the DB hunter art in GU. I swear Gaijin loves Prowler mode too much
There is no too much. Prowler is the best.
Honestly, it wouldn't shock me if Prowler was added in Rise Ultimate. Like, all of the systems from Gen are pretty much there already.
Prowler mode in Rise = Auto change main weapon and build to Prowler.
Well... you can smack monster with a cat. Probably the peak of video games.
MHgen palico, not GU. I prefer fighting a monster naked and actually doing damage.
I'll need to look into the feral mode. I love the dual blades. Thanks for the intel.
That bind animation tip was great.. thanks!
Prowler Confirmed! I missed Beast mode. 😢
Gaijin the dash attack makes piercing bind so good for DPS
Piercing Bind also seems to be the Dual Blades' primary part-breaking utility. I have no idea why anyone would want to use Tower Vault.
I was wondering why I wasn't naruto running as fast and it never occurred to me it was from feral demon mode. I thought my brain adjusted to it
I wish the description on stuff was better.
It's so stupidly fun to be this aggressive all the time
I feel like I'm the long one who doesn't use piercing bind, I love the mobility provided by tower vault.
Piercing bind is a pain for me to use and the cooldown is soooo slow
Bruh since I've been playing this game it's been so hype

Thanks so much again for your brain lol.
This made me immediately go back to dual blades loool so good
Dual blades are becoming my main weapon I’ve been having such a good time with them
When the monster is down and you are on feral demon mode, you can also do piercing bind then dash first (button A) then go with blade dance after. Huge amount of damage as well
I was using Feral Demon mode with the Felyne dual blades too! It's so much fun. I have constitution 5 with it. Which is admittedly hard to slot in when I need protective polish and Crit boost as well.
I feel like a caveman using DB. Such simple gameplay compared to the other weapons, BUT ITS SO GOOOD
This is a great feeling change to Dual Blades, it encourges even closer combat and is incredibly fun to have every animation have an attack. If you love DB, check this out!
Been using this switch skill with Narga set. The Evade window+evade distance would make big difference with feral.
I always dodged wayyy to often in order to cancel out of combos so with the audition if it doing damage now I LOVE feral demon mode
The dodge also costs less stamina in Feral Demon Mode. I've been using it with evade distance and its just ridiculous.
I haven't played Rise yet as I don't have a switch and just got world a couple weeks ago on sale. But I gotta say how much I love that training dummy.
Class set. I really love the iteration of DB in this game. Really fun to play.
I’d just like to add a little tip, you can pretty much negate the feral demon mode windup by activating it in midair, so near a ledge or even when you jump off of a Wyvern ride. And it still does the little attack too.
Just realized I wasn't subscribed. My bad lol
Great video! I think I might be picking up dual blades sometime soon. This is my first game and I've been having fun bouncing around learning different weapons.
This is so close to what I used before 2.0! I've been trying to rework it now that we can craft critical boost! I can't wait to make my new kitty claws more op.
tbh I found out the sharpening thing on accident when I was speedrunning in World - when you're pushing the limits you find out all kinds of things
i only stumbled about the ability to sharpen my weapon when unsheathed myself just the other day. i never got that deep into MHW, and was so used to play "old style" that I instinctively put away my weapon first every single time.
My favorite thing to do with feral is even the activation in mid-air is an attack and it's much faster to do and safer and it feels great
I just needed more damage output. This has helped tremendously
It’s so good, I’ve been using it since I unlocked it. It’s basically Wolf’s maw from Generations but just buffed.
You are my favorite MH creator!!!
Feral/Aerial is probably the most I’ve ever enjoyed DBs. The Feral attack dodge helps make up for losing the ground A “slingshot”.
Dual Sword Switch Skill that double the number of attack buttons? Prefect!
Here's an advanced technique you can use to reposition yourself after activating your silkbind attack:
MHRise's mechanics changed a bit so it lets you change a 180 degrees dicrection literally frameless.
Wolfs maw art plus adept dodge make dual blades amazing
I stopped using the piecing bind switch skill mainly because of that back step but I never realized that we do a step forward with the feral demon mode blade dance! I'll probably start using it back! Also I NEED to craft these felyne DB.
Thanks to Gaijin i have been using Raging Claws in any hunt using his build(that i updated a little). Now I am planning on making Raging Claws (Helion mode) + Master's Touch skill.
Why Demon Mode is busted: it doesn't flinch when hit by a Longsword
Good ol flinch free 1
Whoa. I was using Feral demon mode because of the attack dodges. I had no idea about the attack boost.
THAT one's a triple-slot decoration
Critical Boost and Weakness Exploit though? The two most powerful skills in the whole-ass game? Yeah those are double-slots. Capcom's out of their goddamned minds.
I’m not complaining. Decent stuff early? Yes please.
Switch skills are the closest thing to the HA we can get for a while.
And as a Generations child, this pleases me.
Psa you can also wire dash into the feral mode to make it quicker and when you do the regular dodge in feral mode it uses less stamina than the demon mode dash.
Cat paws and Feral. I've had so much fun with it.
That’s great! Now if only those damn felynes will give me paw print stamps.
Demon mode! Demon mode! Damn I must be a genius Feral demon mode!
It's somehow cute how you haven't realized until now that you could sharpen your weapon while it's out
Used to always have to sheathe to sharpen, except for SnS which got changed in Generations I think. I never even thought to try lol :D
It only really got added for every weapon @ MW World, so I can understand not knowing about it.
@@El_Naphtali I mean yeah of course it's only since World, but nonetheless he spent hundreds of hours in this game without getting to know.
I feel like all the new decorations unlocked at HR8
