Does anyone know if this applies to Spio armor? I'm HR3 with multiple Toxic kumori and nothing shows at the Smithy. Seems to unlock for everyone but me smh. My Hunter is female.

Big tip! The goth jelly item lets you make a paralysis weapon for the palico and palamute! Buddies getting you at least 1 para per hunt if you play solo!
Just for anyone wondering, the cohoot nest is 5 quests before its completely full, I have mine lined up with the meowcenaries so every time the meowcenaries return I know the cohoot nest is full
You missed the "Mighty Bow Feather" which unlocks by doing arena quests and has a unique special skill that isn't found anywhere else in the game. Bow charge Plus.

Great video as always. Just wanna throw out there that you can max out geologist and botanist with just the leather set with chainmail waist and gloves. It's pretty inexpensive to make too.
For those wondering you don't unlock the leather armor that is buyable with zenni until hunter rank 5/6 in the hub (highrank). Before this you will have to craft it.
I love the Spio set, especially when I have to face poison using monsters, along with the poison resistance talisman it blocks poison entirely. I didn’t realize that it was a rare set. Another great video and wow, these sets are really Bow and Bowgun friendly.
So people know, Spio is called Skalda for male characters Edit: There are other sets that have different names for male and female sets, I haven't unlocked them all yet though.
I've noticed as MH becomes more popular there have been the hunters that tend to love to min/max everything. I'm so glad that you've consistently been of the mindset that this game can be as serious or a relaxed as you want it to be. Keep it up my guy
I think it’s generations that allowed me to start appreciating the trade items you get from the cat minigame as well as the traitor. I freaking love this POR Merced and Jen and you because it’s all about critical status ailments.
Oh I definitely didn't neglect my palico's in Rise... I hired a whole bunch so I could stick them in training... that way I could max them out and use them for trading and meowcenaries.. You know, So I have more time to spend with my precious palamutes 😭
1:44 Say "lan-yap-pull" because it's like "lagniappe", which is Creole for like, "gratuity" but from the proprietor to the guest. So you're giving them awesome apple things as a tip. I also like how it forces you to say "nya" which is what the cats say. Ya know... "nyaaaa~".
I've actually done the gathering quest faster by grabbing the first bush next to the main camp. Just take the great wirebug right behind the tent, then drop down and theres a lantern bush right there. then you can travel to the sub camp for the rest.
FYI for people trying to collect all of these, some of these sets have different names depending on the gender of your character. The "Spio" set for example is called the "Skalda" set as a male.
The Adele Set gave me a good chuckle, thx gaijin :) Didnt know so many of these existed, I was kinda bummed out since I felt like there wasnt that much armor ingame, alas im wrong
All these sets also have a palico/palamute version and they're all adorable! Only fair they get some too, they're the ones bringing the harder mats this time after all.
It’s very hard to describe for me as well how much I’m loving this game. I’m close to 80 hours in and I still can’t find the words to explain how much fun I’m having Capcom did a great job ❤️

The Belt from the Chrome Metal set, the gloves from the Jyuratodus set, and the legs from the Arzuros set also have no skills, but a level 3, level 2, and level 1 slot. I don't know if there's a helmet like this, but I imagine that there is. I'm only HR 7 so I may not have found the materials for whatever armor set has the helmet.

In addition to all the armor sets, all the unique items also make weapons as well. Each weapon has like 2-3 trees that are made from all these items. They're very unique and some are actually fairly decent to use. Edit: I posted this before finishing the video and didn't realize he covered this, so my bad, but for those people that just like to jump to the comments, I'll leave it.
Hey gaijin hunter, Like your vids just wanted to say it was an honest attempt to pronounce Laignapple /lanˈyapel/(LAN-yaple） not your fault its based on a Louisiana French word Laignappe /ˌlanˈyap/ （LAN-yap). As someone from the region it was really crazy to see it used in the localization of the game. Laignappe is "something extra" a good example is when you purchase goods in MHR and they give you lottery tickets as an extra gift, thats what we would call Laignappe and I guess its appropriate because it makes your meowcenaries better at getting you some extra drops.

Highly recommend you get the firelatern that is next to base camp first and then go to sub camp. Guarantees you will get the complete on third plant (with botanist lvl 4)
At 5:09 how did you jump mid air when both of your bugs are still recharging? I suck at the wirebug and can never make that jump without a third bug but I'm probably pressing the wrong buttons.
Are plates more rare now? Sorta feels like they dropped almost every other hunt in World, but looking at the one plate I've gotten and its drop chance, feels like they may be.

I know people is hyped about the Spio waist, but if you're a Greatsword user I'd recommend to go for the Barioth waist instead, it has lvl.2 Critical Draw AND lvl.1 Critical Eye. My set: Dark of Night - Nargacuga Barioth Helm S Remobra Suit S Kamura Braces S Barioth Coil S Golden Hakama - Rajang Critical Eye 4 Critical Boost 3*** Critical Draw 3 Item Prolonger 2 - (Use demon drugs) Latent Power 1 & Heroics 1 - Leftovers...
Only two dragon type bows I can find are bnahabra and [spoiler for late game monster]. Bnahabra looks like a butterfly, is that the one you meant at 11:35?
Tip: There's an even faster (slightly) way to skip the quest complete: When it's about to end the timer, open the map and just warp to a camp. For some reason if the quest complete shows up as you're warping, the fading screen fades considerably faster than just hanging in the air. Can be a bit hard to time it right but keep trying and you'll see.
I realized last night, but I think Lagniapples are a pun on the Cajun/French term "lagniappe" (lan-yapp), which means a little extra, or a gratuity, etc. So instead of lag-nee-apples, I think it's "lan-apples", haha

The Cohoot nest actually generates 1 random item per quest and max out at 5 items. So make sure to check it every 5 hunts.

You only need to do barrioth and rajang quests to get the headset.

The West like to min max. We were raised on Diablo 2 and World of Warcraft.
I only started min/maxing when I started soloing Grank. For Low rank and High rank, I'm a fashion hunter throughout the game.
I've noticed the opposite tbh, I never heard of anyone complaining about minmaxing in mh before world came out
I just wish we could layer any armor so we could have the best of both worlds.

This, and I am parallel almost 1k hours in iceborne and only miss 2 crowns for the platinum. I never get tired of mh.

i just recently discovered the goth jelly armor set and it is now part of my mix set
You can also just stick to the wall with the insect glaive instead of having to wait to hang by your wirebug at the right time

If you press B after using a wirebug then you do that flip. It can be done in any direction.

The Jelly weapon for cats and dogs is OP btw. It's Paralysis and with my palico and palamute with it always get 1 paralyze per hunt
You can get kumo tickets also by farming rampage even in the hub I guess they are technically a village quest
