- WE ALL KNOW THE SCORE, AFTER FISHING WE END UP WITH LEFTOVER MAGGOTS. NOW, DO WE FREEZE THEM AND USE THEM AS DEAD MAGGOTS OR KEEP THEM FRESH FOR THE NEXT OUTING? HERE'S HOW I KEEP MY MAGGOTS FRESH.

Hi Andy, I have not got access to a fridge the wife, with these tips would I keep maggots for longer, because I keep them on the concrete shed floor any more advice.?
Hi David, it depends on the temperature really, at this time of year, it is not too bad as the temperature is around 9C during the day, and a lot cooler during the night. I still use a cool/ bait bag when the fridge is full. Either a bait bag or a picnic style cool box are ideal for the job too, especially when it gets warmer. Just add one or two of the ice packs in with the maggots and they will be fine. Just remember to change the ice packs when they have defrosted :)

What to feed the maggots with ?
Hi, I use van den Eynde maggot mix that keeps them feed whilst in the fridge, I just put some in after they have been treated with maggot cleaner

Hi, I just checked on the UK product list, they don't stock it in UK. Best bet is to try and order some from Ireland as they have more products on their list.

yes, i suffer from a fungi allergy, which i can't get rid of, aspergillus or something to that effect lol
@@andyphelpsfishingvlog9681 Me too. Fishing and allergies don't go very well together, but that's life.
@@johngrosariu1992 yes, add osteo arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis into the mix and it creates more problems lol
