well done video, I bought a CBN for my drill bit sharpener..... amazing the difference,,,,,need no cooling, very little sparks and mess......and very stable, even though my grinder has a diamond for truing.....no need anymore.... I do need a finer grit than 80 and 60....... cheers, a metal worker in Florida, Paul
Like always an excellent video, many good explanation and plenty of demonstration... To the point! I did bought the exact setup and I thoroughly enjoy it!
I've never timed it, but probably about 5-7 seconds. It's not too bad. But if you are turning something that will require a lot of sharpening, you might want to keep the wheels spinning.
I was privileged to be asked to beta-test WoodWorkersWonders CBN wheels for the Worksharp ws3000 (and the bought a set). They are fantastic! WoodWorkersWonders has an EXCELLENT article on their site about the differences in the way different grinding media cut. woodturnerswonders.com/blogs/news/modern-tool-steels-and-grinders-by-tom-wirsing
The set of 3 for the ws3000 is only 150, and well worth it for any turner working with harder hardwoods like bodark (hedge/osage orange) , mahogany, bubinga, etc. (I do a lot of bodark and I have no regrets - I'd do it again)

Can I use a cbn wheel on a 3600 rpm grinder
How long does it take a 1/2 HP grinder to come up to speed with two of those on there?

They're great for a production shop. But for the average home woodworker I still think they're way too expensive.
