Cassandra Bankson I would love to know what types of moisturizers to use on acne prone skin. Or what to look for in a moisturizer that’s good and bad for your skin.
Lovely lady, there is so much I need to learn. I will be back to watch all of your skin care informative videos 💕 (Currently, sick and I need to rest. )
Is this a new series?! I love it! You are so great at explaining the science behind it all which is why I’ve followed you so many years ago. Keep it up girl! 👍🏽💖
Skin Science Saturday is helping me a lot in my science fair! Gotta love a good science based video! Thanks for the effort you put into every single one of them.
Thank you for making this video!! I love u-tube but struggle with who I can “trust”. Opinions are great! However, I really like to follow people I can count on to lead me to products with natural or good ingredients for my skin that does what I’m looking for it to do!! If you don’t understand “skin science” and ingredients its hard to imagine you can really do this. Are you planning on doing a video on specific products you recommend that reach these different layer and how? Could you please?!!! I have dry and dehydrated skin and I’d love to hear about any budget friendly products and tips you have for my skin type! Thank you!!!!
Hey cassandra so are you going to med school ? To become a dermatologist? That would be great!! But could you make a video about your progress or how you got into med school and what you think of it so far?!
Had ANY WOMAN experienced facial hair. It's barely noticeable as I pluck it EVERYDAY since I was 15. Started off with a couple coarse hairs on side of my chin not noticeable as they were usually light or even white but very coarse if I touch my chin it felt very rough from new growth. I had bad cystic acne ( no doctor explained this to me) so I didn't understand why I'd get these super painful pumps that would occasionally grow and turn red not your typical pimple as the diameter was large and sometimes it's hold warm compress trying to get something to come out when there was nothing. It was literally just inflammation. But I mistakenly for regular acne I tried to pop it and it was excruciating. I have a couple scars not drop ones thankfully from picking. Thanks drying peroxide creams only flared up my skin and created another one near the original bump. So I went through this until was 18 and threw all the acne prescription that irritated and made my skin raw dry and I started to use very mild non drying facial Wash and non oil & comedonic moisture lotion. THATS when my cystic acne flare ups stopped when I stopped irritating my skin. Unfortunately the coarse hair issue never resided and no doctor server explained to me even now in my late 30's why I get those coarse hairs on my chin now a little above top side of my lips.. and more u hairs I figured with age it would disappear. I'm so fed up emotionally and physically from hyding this issue and plucking my we hold life . I read that I could if damages my hair follicles from picking or even some old school.acne medication caused it. Oddly my hormones always turn normal... Now I learned through my female doctor that if I didn't have my hormones tested at certain time in a month ( it's a 24 he period) or so , than it wouldn't have shown that hormonal imbalance which I according to blood test I don't have. I'm so so fed up and sick off having to pluck the new growth of coarse light or some darker hairs every morning since I've been been 15 yrs old . No doctor every offered me any help in fact my acne was so irritated and flared up in my teenage yrs because the more i dried out my skin with drying medicated eash plus peroxide salicylic type lotions really made my skin worse ( happens that my skin is naturally not oily and very dry( feels like sand paper after cleanse especially in cold dry Canadian climate) It could very well be that acne damaged some irritated some follicles and now I get hair on my chin where I normally shouldn't that was one of the specialist theory... No cure though
I’ve been digging your videos lately because they are so informative yet easy to understand. Thank you for all the research you put in your videos. Could you type out the medical vocabulary you use in the video? You sometimes talk a little too fast for me to try to remember these words. Thank you💕
Hello beautiful and thank you for your love and support! I am so happy to hear that this has been helpful. My goal is always to educate and inspire! Yes, all of the terms are actually listed in the video description! Take a look and let me know if you still have questions! XOXO
Ooh that's why when we shave our face (im a girl) we're removing the like road ( Actual hair) on our skin, to get into our deeper pore. I.e making things a bit harder to get in deep into our pore😮 I realised when i use to shave my face, i didn't have as much problems, but then i stopped because my brother took the piss😒
Hey Jennifer, I always seem to break out during ovulation as this is when your testosterone spikes. Normally, this will ramp up oil production (amongst other things) leading to a blocked pore and then acne. Typically during your period all hormones are at their lowest, however if you naturally have high levels of testosterone or your lifestyle/diet have contributed to higher levels of testosterone, then this may be the predominant hormone and cause the same issues. This is what I've gathered during my years of trying to figure it all out 🙈 Hope that helps x
Hey Cassandra! I was wondering if you knew anything about sulfer for skin? I'm giving eradicate by kate somerville a try, and wanted to know if you'd know more about this. Thanks!
P.s if ya ever want something to do , I'm in the musical Newsies March 7-10 we could meet! (I'm on the east coast, wow the longest long shot in history.)
Help. A foreign substance(probably steroidal) was injected into my chin(front/mentolabial). It's meshed with fat & integrated with tissue. It's really ugly& bulky, not at all in harmony with rest of my face. How to extract it? Aqualyx & Adipose forte have been suggested but then that might only work on the fat. How do I extract the steroidal gel ?
Sounds crazy but i think the only reason you got acne in the past is to help and understand other people 😊 Great video thank you so much 😙

Cassandra, what do you think about devices like the Foreo?
And/or clarisonic?
Random comment, but I just noticed that your hair is actually curly. Have u ever considered switching to the curly girl method?
