People thinking they have to use the chain is probably what makes it so awkward/hard. If you just mash/hold your dash and give yourself a big run-up and you’ll build enough speed to launch over any spike pit.
Oh yes, this must be that one guy who reapropriates stuff he likes into his RPG universe. Shouldn't mind him too much. If Aidan here goes too far on his role playing, I'm sure a visit or two from Capcom copyright executives will be enough.
