Hi eveyone, I decided to start a topic about how to train cockatiels and I may add new training videos from time to time.
So what's the best subject to start the training topic? I thought target training would be the right choice, as it's a trick very easy to teach and once it's done it's like having a magic wand you can use to make your bird do so many things!
It can be used for recall training, step up training, spin, play with a ball and much more!
Hope you'll enjoy, share and subscribe! See you in the next video!
    Actual training starts at 3:56

I am so happy and blessed to have ran into your Channel!!! I'm trying to understand my cockatiel. And I need help and I haven't found anyone as Detailed as you. I do have a question though, what is a pier that I may use. And every time I tried to take the cockatiel out of the cage he gets so scared. One time I had to get my parakeet that was in the cage with him out and he got scared and flew out with him, he flew so hard he hit himself against the wall and dropped. I gently picked him up and he bit me so hard locking his beak on my finger. I couldn't get him off and I pressed the sides of his head in order for him to let go. I really hope I did not hurt him. I love him so much. How do I regain trust that I was gradually working on. The last thing I would ever do is hurt one of God's creatures. I know I asked a lot of questions, I'm sorry I just very excited and I hope you can at least advise me on something. M new to your channel and very happy to be here ☺️

When I brought my cockatiels home, they both hate hands. I think it's because the person who handled them practically squeezed them and pulled out feathers. There was blood and I was so sad. They're veryyyy slowly getting used to climbing on hands but a lot of the time they hiss and nip at hands if they come too close.
