I find this song really funny. All the singers are great but I love Momy Levi!! Greek Ξέρω ένα μέρος κρυφό, φοβερό που του κόσμου οι αλήτες μαζεύονται εκεί I know a place hidden, horrible, where the savagers(/outcasts) of the world are gathering there Είναι ένα μέρος παλιό, μυθικό, η Αυλή των Θαυμάτων It's a place old, legenary, the Court of Miracles Θα σάς πάω ως εκεί I will take you up there
I know, there're also some songs in Russian, like "Be Our Guest", which lyrics I still can't fully understand XD Sure thing, I'll help ! :) I didn't know there was the Russian dub of the movie, though I watched it once quite long time ago and don't really remember if the songs were dubbed x) So, the lyrics are: Но вот сейчас я здесь/вот сейчас я здесь (No vot seychas ya zdes'/vot seychas ya zdes') But now I'm here/now I'm here И в сердце веры и любви* (I v serdtse very i lyubvi) And in the heart of faith and love Столько слов, что прежде в нём родиться не могли (Stol'ko slov, chto prezhde v nom rodit'sya ne mogli) There're so many words that couldn't be born inside of it before *I'm not really sure about this line, it's quite hard to understand what she's saying at the beginning of the phrase. I don't know whether there's "У сердца" or "И в сердце"; both make sense -_- And, by the way, I loved Nina more than Olga for some reason. I think there's something sincere about her voice and she definitely sounds beautiful ^^
nysa Oh, thank you so much, my dear!! The lyrics are quite poetic, I always believed that the Russian dubb of the movie will be magnificent and juding from ''When you believe'' it's more than magnificent. Olga as Christina Aryiri (Greek) and Elena Pavlova (Bulgarian) gave a different approach to the character, more sacred I think, but sometimes during the song I believe that she forgot that she dubbs a character and just she sings, she remains lovely though. ;) Nina perhaps is going to be my second favorite Tzipporah, the way she delivers her emotions is stunning. Honestly, I can listen her all day!❤❤❤❤❤❤
*Finnish* Ihmeiden Aukio, varokaa vaan (The Court of Miracles, you'd better beware) Siellä roistot ja ryövärit majailevat (That's where scoundrels and robbers dwell) Ihmeiden Aukio jos kohdataan (When encountering the Court of Miracles) Silloin suuret sankarit (That's when great heroes are) Jo juoksevat! (Running away!) I hope this makes sense. Finnish songs tend to have really weird grammar, but that's why I like them. Also, Antti Pääkkönen is a goddamn treasure.
