Hey guys, if you enjoyed this video and decide to pick one of these kits up for yourself, I'd appreciate if you use my affiliate links in the video description! Happy DIYing
Since this valve uses LoRa Radio connection to the leak detector, using the batteries in the valve controller should you have a leak with a power failure and or an internet outage the valve can be shut off from the leak sensors. The LoRa is the key since this radio goes a 1/4 mile and throught a walls better than WiFi. I have used WiFi for IoT things for many years and WiFi is not 100%. I like this system since it does not depend on WiFi / Internet being up to operate the valve for a leak.

Great point! I cover how to setup the device to device connection over LoRa in my Part 2 video here th-cam.com/video/-qECYOmD4vY/w-d-xo.html
you have to push the back Chrome bottom button to release the clutch. The handle will now operate.
how strong is it
It’s geared down pretty low, giving it plenty of torque to easily turn the valve. That’s why it turns so slowly.
