@@ww2remembered983 thanks for the advice, ya dullard. You sound like a fool, good luck in life dunce boy.
Judges and Das have absolute immunity... ABSOLUTE, that means, unless they break the law, what they do professionally cannot be held against them, even if their decisions lead to more crime... But that would take lawmakers to solve and we all know lawmakers are loath to help the common man.

Make car break ins a felony again, get a new mayor, police chief and district attorney that will stop the crime problem.
Not trying to argue with you, but I don't think they have to go as far as making it a felony again. If they would just enforce the laws they already have on the books, and max out sentences for repeat offenders, we would see a sharp reduction in crime. I strongly agree about the change in leadership....this is the true root of the problem obviously.

Exactly
"What criminals need is neither diplomacy nor persuasion. They have neither the ability nor the intention to understand. Only force will enlighten their foolishness."
- You wouldn't believe me if I told you.😐
Also California and the bay area don't let property owners protect their property. If a thief caught a bullet when breaking into a car they would think twice, or it would be the last mistake they make.
Or they would just kill you first, think before you speak, find out real world facts, not your emotions. Criminals in texas acquire guns by stealing them out of cars people don;t secure them. Guns guns everywhere guns and think you are safe?
You can't protect PROPERTY with deadly force anywhere in America. But you can confront them and use necessary force to stop them, and if a deadly confrontation arises from that, then you can legally defend yourself. CA has stand your ground (CALCRIM 500-506) and castle doctrine (PC 198.5) earlier this yr one man in LA shot a car burgular, another in august shot an attacker in his front yard. Yrs ago a felon in sac killed an intruder and was only charged for having guns and ammo. The were about 30 self defense shootings in the news this year all over California, including the Bay Area without a single defender being arrested.
@Fel Then you guys are going to have to kill more people if that's true. They just let the criminals out and I don't see any people doing anything about it.
@@fel9118 TX and FL you are justified to use deadly force to protect property. In OH before castle doctrine, people would keep a trash pocket pistol, w/o s/n's to plant on a perp after killing them...
@Tony I don't know about OH, but in TX it's not that simple. It has to be a night and you have to be SURE there is absolutely no other way possible to retrieve the property. It has to be REASONABLE. You can't just simply use deadly force to protect things.
I lived in New York City in the early '90s when it was a mess like SF is now. I know he's gone nuts since then, but when Rudy Giuliani became mayor in '94, he did an incredible job cleaning up the city, and it was very noticeable within a year. Man... if only there were a place we could isolate criminals away from society for a predetermined amount of time based on the severity of their crimes so they couldn't continue doing crimes while locked up and maybe being locked up would make them want to not crime when they get out. Alas, no such place exists, so we just have to take it.
We already tried that. It didnt work. If putting people away stopped crime why do we have so much crime?

I lived part time in SF 2006-2012. Police response time was garbage back then, muggers were all over, car break-ins were very frequent, vehicle theft was almost expected. That was long before catch and release or defunding.
Three gang members attempted to kick in our apartment door with us in it. 28 minutes after our 911 call they gave up; 33 minutes after the police finally arrived. 7th off Geary...we could see the 6th off Geary police station from our front window.

Defund the police?
Let it get worse, so bad that citizens of San Francisco actually vote differently. This tolerance policy on drugs, homeless encampments, shoplifting, and property crime is what is fueling this. People break into cars because they know the police do nothing. And they break into cars because they need money for drugs.
It requires logic and critical thinking for them to see the connection and vote differently. Thats how you know that will never happen
The mega wealthy decide who is in power, not the voters. Thats why Gruesome Newsom easily survives every attempt to recall him, and he'll be re-elected again because not a single cowardly DemonRAT will challenge him, and no Republican would get more than 10% of the vote
Additionally, the mega wealthy have zero concern with crime because they are largely untouchable by criminals, and anything they might lose they can easily replace
even if they vote differently what more can be done really? their is already a shortage of officers in the city how will a vote help that
@@tonywasikhongo7510 it has to start somewhere. consistently voting for the same party who has led you to the same events time after time and allowed this situation to worsen, have shown incompetence to manage. you have to have a "balance" of power in these urban areas - something that is not quite in play in all not just san fran, urban areas. start voting away from the democrat DA's and Democrat Judges... these are the ones who are not taking charges, or releasing violent offenders immediately on $100 or PR bonds. get a different mayor and city officials into power who will put in programs to incentivize law enforcement to be attracted. this is a larger problem than just san francisco - that you're right. this is a california as a whole issue. if the state is just as bad, with taxation, home pricing, cost of living, not many are going to want to undertake a profession who not only can they not make a good living and live somewhere decent, but then to be brutalized at work too... not worth it. states like florida and communities in texas and rocky mountain states already are putting the word out about hiring bonuses for california law enforcement.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle all this crime is due to income inequality. It might need to get Gotham City bad before these people open their eyes!
Any form of crime must be taken seriously and criminals must be held accountable otherwise they know they can commit crimes without impunity. And the police will be demoralized because they feel it is pointless arresting criminals.
*The reason the level of crime would continue instead of being drastically reduced* is _entirely_ because of the type of leaders they have in that area who make decisions about how to deal with crime.
If the people there want crime to reduce they need to bring in new leaders who are committed to reducing and eradicating as much crime as they can. It's definitely possible and doable.
As long as you keep voting blue no matter who, this is what you're gonna get. I live in a conservative town in the bay area where the laws are upheld and we don't have these problems despite being just a couple miles from Oakland. Every time those idiots show up around here they actually got to jail, so they don't come around.
I’m blue but I’m going red because the Bay Area i grew up in got all messed by these liberal fools.
It's not about voting blue or red, it's about voting for those who understand the importance of the police force. Biden is blue, yet he supports funding the police and has funded the police more than Trump did.
@@electric336 No he doesn't. Biden claims he did not mean defunding the police, only "moving the money to social services". What is the net effect!? It defunds the police! London Breed did exactly the same thing with the SFPD budget and now they complain about budget and staff shortages while crime increases. That is some manipulative word salad.
@@poodlescone9700 Nope. Biden's budget provides $1.97 billion in discretionary funding to support state and local law enforcement, an increase of 12% over the FY22 enacted level.
I need to find where these conservative towns are in the Bay Area. Don’t understand how they can live like this.
Doesn't really matter, the Attorney General will release them and when they go to trail sentence will be lite .
Precisely. This is why crime is increasing. The only way to reduce crime is by having laws that will actually discourage these crimes. Which means longer jail sentences. These are the real terrorist to our society, and I can only hope the laws will change to fix this increase in crime. There also needs to be a substantial increase in police in the areas known for high levels of crime. The cryptocurrency exchange company Kraken recently shut their headquarters in SF , because their employees where getting robbed and harassed. Security guards should be able to stop these criminals physically too as bouncers do to drunks at clubs. I would gladly pay more taxes to see these changes.

Why is no one addressing how the defund the police movement or the role the District Attorney has played in this unprecedented rise in crime.
Because it makes Democrats and their policies look awful
LOL😂 this is wrong. The police has not been defunded at all. Even then, police didn’t do their job while they were overfunded, so what’s the point in adding more funding into unethical work?
Aren’t y’all the same people who preach that more guns = less crime? There has been a 400% increase in legal firearms purchased in the US in 2020, and it’s only gotten more dangerous with shootings and guns😂
Bi partisanship politicians just signed bills to give millions to the police.
SF didn't really have BLM protests... there were just smash and grabs from criminal organizations from central valley taking advantage of the unrest. If you remember there even was a white supremacist who went around shooting private security and cops in order to *spark* a race war. SF has BEEEN crime central for years now.
Dude, you do know Police funding has INCREASED not defunded, but hey keep watching Faux News.
The funny thing is that SF police respond to Paul Pelosi call super fast in 2 minutes while good luck expecting the cop will come at all depending on the crime.
Having spent much of my early life on the streets, I have seen the effectiveness of a good old-fashioned ghetto beat down (or even the possibility of one) in showing people the error of their ways. I'm not one of these people who believes that we should be shooting criminals in the streets. But I have the feeling that a bit of citizen-administered direct persuasion would get the word out that all of this nuisance crime is a no-no. This is all hypothetically speaking, of course.
I have to agree with you. I would not hesitate to shoot any intruders who break into my house. My kids are taking fire arm training classes as well.
Do like in some parts of Mexico, thieves get half of a finger cut off for each theft.
I worked with a guy who had 4 fingers left out of 10. He said he quit because he wouldn't be able to write his name with 1 more finger goner
As long as the criminals keep getting released there will be no change. If you have committed numerous crimes, occasionally get arrested and then released what is the discouragement to commit more crimes? There is too long a delay between the crime and the punishment, if there is any punishment at all. If a few of the thieves were shot in the act this would stop pretty fast.
Gavin Newsom early released over 70,000 inmates. Dont just blame Boudin

And in the same breath they deprive residents of their 2nd Amendment rights to protect themselves of random acts of violence. You are your first line of defense. There’s an old saying: “When seconds matter, the police is only minutes away”. However in restrictive gun control states with high crime (SF, LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.), the police may never even respond or could take hours. Protect yourselves my fellow Americans, because it’s clear that they can’t
To those of you that didn’t vote for those in charge, I feel your pain. All the others that support this crap, you get exactly what you voted for.
You know things are bad when cops finally start telling us the truth.

Blame staffing when the system is broken. Stop releasing criminals could be the first fix. Step forward not backwards.
Terrible crime problems needs to be addressed.
I'm in Edmonton, Canada & here most of our lowlifes do meth & they get govt checks every month. Voila, that's where the power is. Cut people off of social assistance for 1 year if they steal.
That would be a step in the right direction......but then they would likely become full time criminals.......
Because of the failed Democrat policies
The answer is for citizens to step up and take action when they see crimes and arming themselves. Police can't be everywhere all the time and in cities like San Francisco they're clearly not doing their job. That and the judicial system there isn't penalizing criminals enough when they're getting caught. Police weren't meant to be some cure all for all crime. Anybody has the legal right to perform a citizen's arrest when seeing a crime being committed. If I ever saw a crime being committed and thought I could help I definitely would.
Oh sure, why don't you start up a vigilante group and patrol the streets while you're at it.

No one mentioned " defunding the police" anymore. Who's idea was it anyway?
at least you know they were never defunded
10 out of 10 criminals give San Francisco - 5*'s as best city to live in America. They say "KEEP VOTING DEMOCRAT"...
saying you cant fix the crime problem is a joke ...get judges that put thieves in jail and fund more police and put the thieves in jail where they should be
San Francisco's law enforcement model is almost exactly what it was in 1908.
SF voted for this by voting Blue. Liberal DA, Liberal Mayor, let criminals go, and give EDD to all whether they want/need it or not.
SF you voted for this - Enjoy!
Why would people still want to live there? 👀🤷🏿🤦🏿
Keep voting democrats
What will it take to stop this: 1. people need to pay attention - onlookers need to get info and report the crimes. 2. citizens need to arm themselves and get professional training. 3. the DAs and Judges need to keep the criminals in jail - they are wasting the police resources.
What will it take to stop this? Shoot every criminal you see. Help out your fellow hardworking citizens.
stop voting for Democrat DA's and Democrat Judges - they are the ones who are not taking charges on these people, and Dem judges who are releasing these criminals back into the community on PR bond or $100 bonds.
If you're voting habits are still the same, after your city has gone down the drain, you are certifiably insane!
Stop voting for Democrats!
And quit voting with the liberal 🙄 party. When are you going to learn?
Yeap alot of people look the other way when witnessing a crime, especially in the poor areas because “i aint no rat” it’s stupid how some people think that reporting a crime its a bad thing
“Police response times are getting worse” it’s not law enforcements fault that the crime rate is through the roof.
Crime is "here to stay" in SF for one reason, and one reason only: city leadership and voters are willing to accept it. They will say otherwise, but actions show that not to be the case. There are not enough police; criminals know that they won't be punished; druggies out on the streets; you name it, the city enables it. The one officer says that if the cops arrest some perps they can "clear" a hundred cases associated with that group of criminals. You would think that in a rational society, anyone who it could be shown had committed dozens, let alone hundreds, of burglaries, car break-ins, whatever, would be locked up for a long, long, long time. But not in SF, where the DA is really a public defender, just with a business card that says prosecutor. Rather than devote increasing amounts of money to the homeless problem, it is time to pull money from failed social programs, and hire hundreds more police. The city should saturate neighborhoods with cops, run bait operations to catch criminals in the act (this is NOT entrapment, btw), and get a DA that sees his job as one involving actually prosecuting criminals. Make it clear to all that violating the law in San Francisco will be punished with serious prison time. Make it clear to criminals that if they want to stay in that line of business they best do it somewhere else. Portland and Seattle seem welcoming. New York and Chicago increasingly as well.
Regardless of loose laws or lack of protection I think the real question is why individuals think it’s ok commit these crimes in the first place.
Because there are no pubishments
The issue should not be a policing shortage but a father shortage. When Dads do their job with their kids there is no need for police. Look anywhere in the world to see the linkage.
Is that how you libtards think In California 😂😂
Sometimes we and I mean this country needs to add a little spice to it, is get the Death Penalty going Quickly and I mean NOW!!!!

Doesn't CA have a surplus of money? California should put that money into building a stronger police force for major cities in CA like SF or San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Oakland.
no, they should create a universal basic income program.. Do you see people on SSI or Social Security going out committing crimes?
I hope you are being sarcastic... Cali is in debt. Deep debt, and has been... and that's what socialism gets you. Stop voting for "feel good" laws that don't make sense in reality.
Your citizens are *under* armed, and the criminals are fully armed. So tell me what are those gun laws doing for *YOU* the law abiding citizen? Your anti cop mentality, and the criminal is just a victim of their past and surroundings, has to stop. You have to start being a threat to the criminal, and you have to hold them accountable for their crimes. Your prisons/jails are over flowing with violent criminals, that if some fo the citizens they assaulted/killed , were armed, maybe they would be alive, and the prisons/jails wouldn't be so full.
And maybe people would be more inclined to earn monetary gains rather than stela/rob it .....
It's harder to be a law abiding citizen in California, than a criminal.

The pandemic crime wave is driving across the bridge from the east bay. Generally people living in San Francisco are not committing most of these crimes which puts SFPD in a very difficult, almost impossible situation. Basically, all defense trying to not get robbed in SF and no way to go on offense arresting the offenders. The people committing these crimes know this.
Simple question with a simple answer. Let the citizens open carry their guns. A thief will think twice when he or she might get shot for breaking into a car. It’s a group breaking into cars then let me carry and this crime spree will end either when their bodies start to pile up or they’ll grow some brain cells real quick.
Why only open carry when the 2A covers "to bear" which INCLUDES both open and concealed carry as opined by the Supreme Court in Heller v. D.C. (2008) quoting from Muscarello v. U.S. (1997)) and oft repeated since, to wit: "to carry on or about the body, OR IN THE CLOTHING, OR IN A POCKET, ... in case of a spontaneous confrontation" (or words substantially the same).
Make conceal carry legal in S.F. and crimes will be guaranteed to be less of a problem!! SMH 🙄

I lived in SF from August of '79 to June of '83 and it looks like that was the very end of the old SF. This new one, with rents that are unaffordable, housing that barely exists at all, and a cost of living that is beyond the means of most people anywhere, is a San Francisco that I would not want to live in and that is even before the crime rate enters the discussion.
This is not a complicated problem. Arrest and prosecute criminals and you will deter crime. Let criminals go free without consequence, you get more crime. Study NYC in the 1990s and you have your answer to this self-inflicted problem. Of course, whether people in SF will pull their heads out of the sand and get tough on crime remains to be seen.
So stop and frisk all the POC?
@@brendanoehl5018 No, don't even bother, just arrest and incarcerate them! I want to see prisons full, there's no excuse not to have that
