Thanks for this - we were on her in January this year for our second BKB trip - and it's a nice reminder of how much we loved our time on her. I do recommend to anyone that they make their first BKB in the deep Norwegian winter - pure Christmas Card scenery
Glad they have a Bistro as we are on the boats twice for 3 / 4 hours only during mostly non meal times. However we do have 1 hour for dinner in the restaurant. Wonder if it's really worth it. It must be an experience. Quite expensive though. Will check.
Thanks for this! We'll be doing the 2 day/1 night voyage Trondheim to Bergen on the Nordnorge in August. Do you know if we'll be able to bring our own snacks and drinks on board?
They are ferries rather than cruise ships, so make sure you check accommodation options and dining and pick based on your preferences. All Hurtigruten and Havila ships have their plus and minus points, so it depends what you want out of the experience. You can check out the Havila ships here, the video shows the Capella but all four are basically identical: th-cam.com/video/9MZN21Tpw44/w-d-xo.html
Plenty of younger people doing shorter legs and port-to-port. This isn’t a cruise line designed for parties, it’s an integral part of Norwegian public transport. Thanks for watching!
@@lifeinnorway1 It’s not a party trip I’m looking for, I hate those kinds of trips and crowds. At the same time I also dislike traveling like it’s an elderly folks home! Solo 30+ and 70+ couples don’t mingle. I know that from 25+ years of traveling. Regardless. I’ve watched your Havila series and that entire concept fits way more with what I’m searching for. I’m highly considering booking with them, as I have some other stuff to do at Nordkapp as well, next year June.

It does look amazing at that time of year I agree, but you do miss quite a lot as it's so dark. All the more reason to go on multiple trips :)
Thanks so much, very informative. We are booked on her for Feb '24
You're welcome! Have a great trip
That was really great - thank you! I’ve been booked to teach on a ship like this one next year and I had no idea what it was like - that was perfect!
You’re very welcome, thanks for watching! 🙌 What will you be teaching?

Yes you can, just not alcohol
I watched both, thank you for doing them. It would be nice to see a side-by-side pros and cons list. Which would you choose in terms of comfort?
Thanks for the suggestion! But I have made many ship videos so I'm not sure which ones you want me to compare :)
Hello, Would you recommend this cruise ship or the Havila Capella? :)

I don't know about anyone else, but I have to say "Hurtigruten" in Swedish chef's voice.
Well, its Norwegian :p and sweeds dont talk like that muppet xD
Plenty of Swedes working on Hurtigruten, to be fair 😂
@@lifeinnorway1 yes 🤣
Lots of senior folk on this trip it seems. Shame it does not seem to 'cater' to or attract 30+ people.
