    A pocket knife or even a cheap old steak knife works way better than that heated knife. I would have thought that capping knife would have been better. Any idea why it didn't work well?

    Great demonstration! Thank you for the video. Can you share with me where I can find this press. I do top-bar hives and could certainly use this press, but I can't find it through a google search. Thank you in advance.

    Kindly tell me the difference in quality using this press relative to the spinning extractor

      Hi Shey, they are for different purposes. The extractor spins out full frames and the press crushes out all the wax and honey cappings and any old frames (with no wire supports). Both produce high quality raw honey. It is my preference to use the extractor first, and as much as possible, because you can re use the frames and return them to the hive after extracting honey - which is less work for the bees. The Press will be a secondary tool for any left over wax cappings as above. Hope that helps
