When the tank is operating properly, mark the water level on that line with a piece of red electrical tape above the water line for future melts.

A good stir greatly speeds up the process
Stir as soon as possible. Usually from about 18 to 24 hours from starting the process
Then stir once or twice more before you let it settle into the honey and wax layers

I did stir it up but never recorded that! I could probably have done this all in 4 days but spun it out so I could record various stages. Thanks for the tip though I will stir earlier and more frequently!

Is there a reason the Acorn frames you pointed out are black foundation verses the yellow that they offer, also I notice that they are wood frames, have you any experience with fully plastic frames. I enjoy your videos, thank you.

I use the plastic frames and wooden frames. For brood comb I much prefer the black plastic so eggs are more visible.

When we pull honey, we blow the bees out. The black, fully plastic frames flex and allow us to peek inside so we're sure we don't bring bees back to the honey hut.

Thank you! Can you talk about how you store your honey supers and drawn comb while not in use?
