Loved your New York vlogs so much! I am staying in the same hotel as yourselves next month. How much tourist tax did ye have to pay for your stay? Thanks
We're heading to the Rui plaza in May. Any tips for taxi's from airport(Newark),how to get from hotel to statue of liberty and best way to central park,911 memorial,,,,PS love the vlogs.Cheers from Scotland
We flew in JFK and it cost $82 plus tip for a yellow cab. I can’t see it being much more from Newark because there’s only a mile difference between them ( just coming in from different sides lol) I loved the hop on hop off bus as this took you to all the places you mentioned above and we had a 48 hour ticket. The best tip I have is to get on the Staten Island ferry which allows you to see the sky line and allows you to see the Statue of Liberty up close for free! All the above will be in next Sundays vlog ☺️
Have an amazing time!! I’d recommend taking your own blanket for the flight. We found the night flight cold and the blankets they provided was super thin and did nothing.
@aarizmushtaq4301 Food was expensive but we were sensible otherwise you can spend a lot. In this hotel breakfast was included. For lunch we’d grab a slice of pizza which was around $3.50 per slice and dinner we would spend $80-$100 for a family of four. Also during the day we’d grab maybe a coffee or snack which could be $6-$10pp.
We stayed in the Rui Plaza in December, and it’s an amazing hotel, would stay there every time.. Watching your vlogs has really made me want to visit NY again.. Amazing city.. Started watching you just recently when you went to Disneyland Paris.. One of My Fav places too.. Love your vlogs, keep them coming.. xx
Hi Sharon! Thank you so much for watching. Hope you had a great time back in December. I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone, especially for its location and amazing breakfast. We’ll definitely return one day xx
We had a fabulous 4 night stay at the Rui plaza in November, i have ever been keen on breakfast, my mother despaired, i loved the breakfasts at the rui plaza
How does the hotel breakfast work? Do you just say your hotel room number? Do they count the number of people? I’m just thinking we booked there for 4 people but thinking fifth person may come too but they’re considered a “non-guest” technically
@mrjobangles5906 Sorry for the late reply it never showed up on notifications. I’m the same. I don’t like breakfast. In fact I can’t eat for hours after waking up but the breakfast here was amazing. It also helped we were jet lagged and we’re up hours before the breakfast was open so it felt more like brunch to us lol.
@alisha66607 There will be a staff member at the door and they’ll ask for you room number. On the paper work it shows how many people are assigned to the room and then they take you to a table. It maybe worth asking if non guests can pay to come for breakfast because I remember non guests could pay for the evening dinners.
So glad I've found your vlogs..we are going new year..so looking forward to it x

@@PritchLife thanks for the tip@
Did yous go in Feb time? How was the weather
Yeah it was February. The first day was 70 degrees then it plummeted into the 40’s the next day and the rest of our trip. We did have one day of rain.
Oh ok. How much per day would you spend on food@@PritchLife

Hi! Is this the plaza Manhattan riu or the original one? X
Hi! This is the Riu Times Square one (original) x
There are 2 'RIU Plaza Time Square' hotels. A 'Manhattan' and a 'New York'
Am think going New York am unsure if do 5 days or 7 days
I’ve done 5 days a few times which is nice. I think my legs would’ve fallen off after 7 days of walking 😂
What was the pizza place?
It’s called Patzeria 🍕
@@PritchLife thank you
