Mom, dad, my brother, and I watched A Christmas Carol every Christmas with all lights out and only our beautiful tree lights on. To this day i still watch it at Christmas. There are so many wonderful values to be learned from this movie.

This is my absolute favorite Christmas tale. I've watched the old George C. Scott version every Christmas Eve night since I was a child and at the age of 34, I still watch it on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well if I can manage it. I've read the book and I enjoy it just as much 😊
I was a literature major. This annual read for me is rendered especially beautiful by the reader's voice. December 2020 is here and I'm wondering sadly at Scrooge's sentiment still pushing itself throughout the land 177 years after its first edition. "God bless us everyone."

Every year, my city’s rep theater does an adaptation of this and for our family tradition, we see it every year and it never gets old. Also when I was in 7th grade, my class had to read this book and everyone had trouble reading it! However, since I had seen the show every December, I had no problem understanding the story!

Since it was a requirement I didn't quite enjoy it as much because I hadn't truly learned to appreciate the complexities and messages and was more interested in just reading through it and getting my work done as quick as possible. To my mind, that proves that artists intuit deep truths....such as the truth that deep, emotional exploration of our personal history and past traumas can lead to dramatic healing. This is excellent. My goodness, the eloquence of Victorian English is astounding and I also thought the narrator did an extremely good job. He captured the mood and characters really well. Take it from me who saw Patrick Stewart do it live at the Theatre Royal in London- this performance was excellent no doubt.

Here's a tip, im naturally a fast reader and talker so if it helps i recommend speeding this up to 1.25 speed, it helped me a lot

This is excellent. My goodness, the eloquence of Victorian English is astounding and I also thought the narrator did an extremely good job. He captured the mood and characters really well. Take it from me who saw Patrick Stewart do it live at the Theatre Royal in London- this performance was excellent no doubt.
