I made a 6 ft wide steel tube frame with plywood bottom and sides front bucket for scraping leaves off the lawn, it holds a huge amount of leaves. I need to ad a sweeper to the front of it kinda like this but obviously with it rotating into the bucket.

Sounds like an interesting challenge! I actually thought about collecting the dirt in the bucket with the broom but guess I didn't come up with anything practical.

Nice job Bob !! You should patent the idea, no one sells a sweeper attachment for a tractor. I have been looking for a lawn sweeper attachment to pick up grass clippings , Will this threw the grass clippings into FEL ? I think the lawn sweepers use a 8 to 1 gear (wheels ) ratio. I will try and let you know how it does.

wow first time I seen this! I like this idea. what made you change from this to the newer design of nonrotational? was there a bug that could not be worked out?

No it worked fine but I wanted to try the magnetic quick attach idea so I finally got to it. Actually I "borrowed" the brooms from this rotary one to try out the new idea. The magnetic bucket broom will almost surely be my go broom now as it is so easy to catch and release and it also does a good sweeping job for the kind of stuff I have to clean up.

Brilliant idea! No complicated brush drive needed.
Could it be made to brush into the bucket?
Is the brush made of broom heads?

Would be too tricky to collect with the bucket. Yes 24 inch broom heads. Need to find heavy duty ones. I got mine from princess auto here in Canada.

No, might work ok especially if it is "dry" snow.
