I bought the B580 LE for $265 USD, overclocked it to 3050mhz core clock, 2500Mhz (20Gbps) VRAM, 105% Power Limit and stock voltage (wish I could set negative offset on Basic). Runs pretty well, fantastic card :D (i'm only using it for gaming :)
I ordered asrock b570 myself for 219$ after seeing the 110% power limit and little core oc can bridge most the gaps between b580 and b570. Have to test it out myself, been watching these battlemage cards for 2 years since I saw the potential in the alchemist but they were just not there yet. Saw the b570 in black n white and working on white with black mini itx build for portable Lan party play so was just the perfect situation for me to test one out
Not correct. The B580 can run on PCIe gen 5 slots, but at gen four speeds, it also needs resizable bar to work. I know as I have the older A770 as the B580 is hard to find in stock at the moment, and it, too, requires resizable bar.
thank you for this video. b580 seems to be really crap for mining. so if i was in the market for a gpu for mining i would buy a second hand rx5700xt - a good one with good vram cooling. would save a fortune and get better hashrates?? for instance kawpow is 25 megahash on rx5700xt
Hate to ask but if you get a chance can you test it on kawpow thank you, but keep up the great work really hopefully we will get some rig wars again one day :)
I was getting 125 MH/s on Ergo with an A770 using Fedora 39 but Intel compute broke everything, after several months and an update to Fedora 40 I got the A770 mining again but only at 54 MH/s so something is going on and I want to get answers. Also there should be a Battlemage card with a 256 bit bus but there needs to be better support for mining compute. Also Intel has oneAPI which is open source and could help in getting better mining support. I picked up two B580s and I’m looking in to building a custom Linux distro for Arc GPUs.

Really missing your videos lately. Hope life is treating you okay! Thanks for the hashrate testing!
Thanks for this in depth look! Great work.

glad to see you posting!
Wow, this must've been a ton of work, really appreciate all the info!
Amazing breakdown! Thank you. Quality 🔥
Nice! Caught a little bit of the Streams. Awesome to get a snapshot of the results. The outro was hilarious lol. F it!
Great to see you back!
Glad to see you back in the algos
Great video man! Thanks!
😂. That outro. Virgina slims😂
Beard is looking Strong
Warthog is tricky because it relays on your cpu but i look foward to your test of others gpu in the same system to easy compare them
13:58 the B580 runs at PCIe 4.0 x8 and not PCIe 5.0 and the 3090 supports re sizable bar

Keeping on keeping on. Nice video SOAT! Intel is great i think when it comes to gpus, they are just playing catch up
I suspect the 50 series Nvidia is going to have a much improved has rate.
Yo SOAT! Nice One!
Hey, thanks!
Really looking forward to more development from Intel. They know the miners yearn for a mining card - maybe they'll come through at some point.

ya. But I think getting new 50 series will be the play
So is the hardware on this slow or is it a software issue with the mining programs not being optimized?
Keep it up soatdawg
lets go Intel!

the ending comment lol
Try running that in Ark ascendant
do you mean that, a T17 (40th/s) would be caught up by this B580?

Isn't it a successor to A580?
Is it possible to use oculink and regular PCIe 16x simultaneously for warthog or will one gpu getting lower hashrate?
I mean lanes are lanes. Depends on cpu and motherboard
Man, that sucks even polaris still feel like Suzuki Turbobusa compare this one 😅
