Mr Bolton is correct about more of a effort by the US and NATO to help Ukraine, and Taiwan. Haven't agreed w/him on much but the longer we wait the worse it will get.

The strategic ambiguity policy was clearly a mistake back in the day, and at the time. If could have prevented the current situation if it had not been adopted. Albeit a different time and political environment. We need to remember that the democracy as it is in Taiwan is a relatively recent development.

At two points we hear that it is the politicians job to explain the need for expanded military investment, and consequent curtailment of domestic spending.
