I had a "Josie" moment yesterday. I was about to make tomato soup, and I realized that I was wearing my favorite dress, which has a white background, and I thought about changing it first. But then I thought, "If Josie can do it, so can I!" So I made the soup and miraculously had no spillage, haha.

I think Charlie has such a lovely quality. To be able to put strangers at ease when you've only just met. Most people always do small talk especially when you just meet someone but being interesting and also showing interest in the other person leaves a lasting and positive impression.x 😊
That sign in your garden shed is actually perfectly designed!! You only see the lovely quote about hard work when you are using the tools and putting in the work for a beautiful garden. Seems like your sign is saying "good job" for all the work you have put into your projects 🌿❤️
I remember watching these Instagram stories when they first came out, how fun it is to rewatch everything now in full vlog style! So much work to create such a gorgeous garden, I hope you do end up getting a helper!

Darling Josie, the "X" in collaboration isn't a letter, but a symbol that represents "by". So while it is written "Sweaty Betty X Hallie Berry" it is meant to be read "Sweaty Betty by Hallie Berry." I've noticed a lot of people getting confused by this recently. Your garden is the absolute dream, btw, you two should be so proud!
It has just occurred to me that this might be a rule specific to American English, so I apologize if it does not apply to all forms. I'd love to know if that is the case.

It's my understanding the "x" is purely visual in purpose. Sweaty Betty by Halle Berry would imply Halle Berry produced the garment instead of design inspiration. I could be wrong, but I've never heard anyone say "by" here in America. Either way, I'd bet brands never fully thought through the confusion the "x" would bring ;)

Gardening is so rewarding. In a few years as you sit enjoying it you will have happy memories of all the work and planting. All this work will be woven into stories of your joint history. I now have a well established garden after living in the tropics for 16 years I had no idea how gorgeous this all would be...raised rose beds, lemon and lime trees, many orchid...hanging and ground ones...perennials and mixed color geraniums around our three fountains....it feels like living in an exquisite resort. We sailed the Caribbean for ten years with no gardening. Now boatless we crave outdoor life and live outside year round during the daytime under covered terraces surrounded by this wonderful garden. Our house is lovely but it is our garden that gives us such joy always. We are at an age where we now have fulltime help for the garden and house maintenance and cleaning...a father son team whose company we really enjoy and who have great affinity for the garden etc. Such joy we did NOT expect at this stage of life.....now that our working days are long behind us. Wishing you a lifetime of happy gardening...you, Charlie and your dogs are such dears.

I’ve got an Aga, it’s 50 years old and it works like a treat 🤩 Heats the house. Pizzas are done in minutes, just like a pizza oven. 😋

Re the Aga...back way before Bake Off..Mary Berry was the Queen of the Aga .. she held cookery classes in her home and wrote cookery books for Aga cookery. So very 80s back then they took off big time..

We were members of The National Trust for years but not long after we adopted our little doggie we cancelled it. I can understand them not being allowed in the houses but many of them started restricting where they were allowed on the grounds and gardens and some didn't allow them at all so we gave up on it. Such a shame because we did so much enjoy days out and incorporating them into our UK breaks xxx

I really enjoyed this vlog. I love the mix of food, outfits, destinations and a bit of garden updates. I also love seeing the leggings and white jumper Josie. I think because I started following in Septemberish so maybe I’m used to it! I also love dressing that way so I guess I like seeing it modelled!

Sometimes using clear packing tape over the sticker price one can pull off the tag without using your finger nails. This usually works with price tags on gifts as well. If you don’t have clear packaging tape sometimes regular tape works (I think Brits call it cellophane tape).

Make a paste out of baking soda and oil - coat the sticker with that paste... Let it stand for about 3-4 min. Then try to scrub it off... It worked like a charm every time I needed to take stickers/sticker residue off of anything. 😉
Goose eggs scrambled are HUGE, the taste is VERY rich....my gardener handyman has geese and gives them to me often...they are amazing. I love dill in my scrambled eggs from my garden...oved the gardening bits and always the doggie bits...
