The tour of your room at the Ritz was incredible! Fun fact: in the USA, the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality! Most pineapples grown here come from Hawaii, which became a state on August 21, 1959! 🍍 🍍 🍍 ❤️
The gardens and meadows are bursting with beauty. Your hard work has paid off. Thank you for the tour of the Ritz London. The use of the pineapple shape started with seafaring captains who used to impale fresh pineapples on top of porch railings. This showed passersby that the man of the house was home and visits should be short. The pineapple has come to symbolize many things including a sign of wealth as you stated, also to indicate hospitality or welcome. Pistachio --- looks amazing on your nails!!

I didn’t really understand the concept of having an overgrown grass + wildflower area next to a vegetable garden & just beyond a well-manicured landscape but when I saw the final clip of the little “islands” the landscaper created by carving out paths with the lawnmower… it all made sense. So beautiful and dreamy!
I can only dream of going to such fancy hotel! Thank you for taking us on another virtual trip!

I worked in a self catering holiday cottage for 20 years. when it started off we had beautiful hand blown glassware and the dinnerware was from the local pottery shop. Although people are generally careful we had breakages all the time so we had to buy lots of extras to keep up with it. At some point we ended up getting everything from ikea because we had to replace things all the time.

Hi Josie, I was smiling. We have an eagle similar to yours on the roof. He is supposed to scare birds away. It worked for a week but you have to keep moving him. We call him Eddie the eagle. We got him from coopers f stortford. Thank you for the video. I love all the variety of content. Pistachio.

Pistachio! It’s so lovely that life is returning to normal and you can enjoy trips into London. My granddaughter had a dance recital today …..it was outdoors on a stage in a park…brutally hot in the sun …..90 degrees F ….but it was fun nonetheless to be around people enjoying themselves and just living life!

When I come into the house after a day in the garden, my garden clothes are ready for the washing machine (and I too...). And they are already old jeans and shirts. I can't believe that you can wear a white dress and look so fresh and clean after gardening. Please, share the secret!
