      I know, I liked the burst so much better when they started adding red...

    Great guitar and amp. Good combo.
    And the playing is awesome. Really does the gear justice. That progression is just massive.
    Cheers, guys

    Aaron is a joy to hear, all of his creative playing is inspiring. Here's a moment where I think the guitar is actually under priced. 25k or just under is a bargain for this monstrous axe. One of the few times I've actually seen a guitar under priced at Emerald City. Bravo

    Looking to the bridge saddles I'm wondering about the setup of such a Strat: there's no radius setup?

    • @marcinwieczorek485
      @marcinwieczorek485 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is - on each saddle there's 2 tiny screws that adjust its individual height

  • @giulioluzzardi7632

    Well it's 3 years later, did you take it home? If not I hope a pkayer got it cos it needs to be heard and recorded. The amp sounds great, not as spikey as some Fender amps, glad some-one is trying to add some-thing new to the Fender tone and succeeding admirably.

      With that Brazilian rosewood slab, ECG must feel like dealers of forbidden substances :))) Well: I never saw an original 60's Strat in such a great shape ! Everything, from the headstock to the saddles looks perfect. Honest playwear vs ugly relicing: she's got it all ! Expensive, but not crazy: I saw much less beautiful vintage Strats selling for double as much. Where the heck does this one come from ???

    The strings have never been replaced? :-) Sorry. I'm just an old grandpa doing what I do ... BTW: I was already playing a bit, when this guitar was made -- before, actually ... Excellent playing. Amp sounds great on the treble strings. Horrific on the low notes ...

    I have this amp and a lot of strat (not vintage but from Mex to high end), and I can tell you this tone is 60% from the amp, 20% in the fingers, and 10% the pickups, and 10% the guitar

  • @chrisbirch4066
    @chrisbirch4066 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What amp should I consider getting for that vintage sound? Less wattage than a super or a bassman.

    Carr amps second to none

  • @jonkomatsu8192
    @jonkomatsu8192 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nuh-huh-hiiice!
    The Carr is perfectly matched with this Strat. Also, diggin' the darker three-tone finish, closer to a two-tone.
    And wouldn't you know it, I am currently shopping around for a nice rosewood board Strat. Sadly, I have more a "diner-level" budget, not fine dining. Oh well.
    Great demo, Mahalos!

    I love how the three tone busts faded to a nearly two tone tobacco on the 58-60s
    As opposed to the avri the neck and headstock arent orange or super dark and the body is shiny

    How is the price on a 1960 compaired toto ten years ago

    • @therealborischang
      @therealborischang 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not exactly answering your question, but: when I bought my slightly-used CBS-era 1975 (back in 1976) at a little vintage guitar shop in White Plains, New York for $350, next to it on a peg was a 1963 tagged at $1,100. As a struggling grad student at the time, I really scraped the barrel just to buy the ‘75. Today, my ‘75 might be worth the same as a new American Deluxe ($1,600 or so). That ‘63 I bet would sell for well over twenty grand. It would have been a great investment I would have been proud to own and joyous to play. Instead, I kid around about my CBS-era pseudo vintage strat.

    Don’t stress the sell on knicks scratches just present what it is. What the Fu(€ who cares about not red in the Burst, personally not a fan give me the Brown/Black/ Yella. Keep posting you’re doing great! I used to sell Ford Trucks, sold Used Dodge trucks and thought who the H€ll is gonna by this POS? The Salesman told me “don’t worry the person that wants this you couldn’t talk them out of buying it”. This 60 Strat is awesome but the person who wants a 2021Shicter made in Korea that looks like a Les Paul for $1300 will pay for it. Sea ya next time

    Original frets? No wear on them? I had my ‘75 re-fretted a couple years ago. Of course mine is not a true vintage (Pre-BS).
