Heat is my jam. Happy to go back to pre-burnout crash physics especially in an open world, the crashes that do happen feel more memorable and for a reason. That said, happy I got to have those more burnout style NFS games for a while it was fun
NFS Unbound has some Burnout Paradise style mechanics too, doesn't it? Because it also has a "driveaway" feature which means if you crash and like flip around all over the place but still recover and land on your 4 wheels cleanly, you can driveaway easily but if you land on your side or somethin', then you get resetted and you won't have to wait for the "so-long" crash-cams lol.
You actually can have reduced spotting time from the cops if you equip undercover racer and radio jammer from the Auxiliary section of Performance parts
I think Unbound's pursuit system is better structured and organized. Having regular patrol units being normal pursuit units, then AWD SUVs followed by pursuit interceptors, and then undercover units, finally ending with heavy pursuit raptor units, which are accompanied by interceptors and undercover units and air support from above. So yeah, the structure is good but it's a step down from MW 2012's pursuit system, which is more fun.
5:32 That is a realistic mechanic If you put the engine in deep water it ends up damaging it in the long run and it will end up drowning, it's a pity it's not in Unbound but I love both games
It would be pretty epic if some of the cops said, "We're the best in Lakeshore City compared to Palm City who do lousy police work and got 2 corrupt cops, a Lieutenant with his Right Hand." 😂
5:30 you will only lose HP if pursuit is active, if you fell into water while pursuit active, you will lose 25% or 50% health, while not in pursuit, it will just respawn you without damaging
5:07 Contrary to that you can actually be intercepted by 2 helicopters dropping spikes in Rivals... I got it to work with other AI cops chasing a Heat 5 suspect... Double roadblocks on the same spot are also possible with a lower level block spawning cars and a level 4 block spawning spikes leading to a block as strong as MW 05’s blocks... I’m honestly waiting for the next NFS Rivals style game in modern day...

@@BandicootGames32X I played both Unbound and Heat and honestly the main difference to me is that once you complete the story/grinded up to max rep in heat, there was no real incentive to actually play the night maps other than grinding up the ultimate + parts and once you do that, you just completely abandon the night side of Heat to mainly grind up the day side for cash. Unbound right now feels more fun because while yes the cops can suck to a degree, the truth is that you are more likely to have police in both day and night rather than just being mainly a night focused thing. Yes I am aware that Heat had day cops but the problem with that is that they start at heat 1 and building it up to heat 5 is a genuine pain and not to mention that you don't keep the heat during the day

According to my personal experience, I have played all the NFS games, with the exception of UNBOUND, and I consider that the AI of NFS RIVALS, and NFS HOT PURSUIT are among the most complete and difficult I have seen.
Considering that Rivals had the most OP cops, they are very deadly, brutal, aggressive. Also, they want vehicular manslaughter for Racers in sight, including Racer players. There are no pursuit breakers and no hiding spots, so the only way to survive or escape is to get away from them. Losing the cops in Rivals is near impossible. This will be very tricky, as the cops use rubberbanding too much, meaning that the pursuit will still resume. Similar to HP 2010, cops will drive elite, fast, and strong hyper cars. Instead of the Corvette in higher heat levels, they will drive these cars: - Bugatti Veyron Super Sport - Hennessey Venom GT - McLaren F1 LM - Lamborghini Aventador - Koenigsegg Agera R - Koenigsegg One:1 - Aston Martin One-77 - Lamborghini Murciélago
Also, don't forget no cops in online mode, NfsU is just a big L. And they even lied saying you would be able to disable all the effects when that's not possible...
I preferred the cops on unbound. You can really out run them by cornering on city.. even in heat 5. you can use those few seconds of spotting. They dont ram you so easily and that "refuel" moment they give you time to escape.. Cops on heat are too much aggressive they ram u all the time and the damage are ridiculous.. Heat suddenly increases with no reasons.. So unbound for me.
In Heat, after they stopped to search for you, and you drive by sowly they follow you for some seconds to mske sure that you are the person they had searched for But this doesnt happen often
NFS Rivals did that better than MW 2005. How would you say that the Feds in Heat Level 5 are deadly? I would say the Feds in Rivals are the deadliest of them all since they appear from Heat Level 8 - 10, and they are driving hypercars such as the Venom GT or the Agera.
I recently started playing Hot Pursuit for the first time, and my god, the police are very wild in this game, they can easily reach you while you use the turbo, and if any of them pass you, pray to be able to dodge the spikes or use some gadget against them before this, and for me the coolest thing to see in the game is the helicopter, it made me a lot more emotional when I saw it for the first time leaving me with the reaction "I'm such a big problem they sent a helicopter to stop me!?"
They do the same in Heat regarding of the bridge in some instantses. There's a jump in the docks which you can go over it and all the following cops will jump and fall
ปีที่แล้ว
Last one is undercover as most of the ppl said BUT like mentioned you get them at heat 4, they will NOT show up on your minimap just when they started to hunt you, how ever on the street you can see a small shiel icon over their head so if you are careful you can still see them
I wish NFS had a police Simulation game in the sense that when you run from them, they act/behave like real cops when pursuing some running, and trying to stop a pursuit in progress. Definitely a huge fan of NFS 3 Hot Pursuit, NFS Highstakes, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, and NFS Carbon
Undercover cops don't show up on maps but they still have their undercover icon on the top. So you have to be careful if you're rolling on a lot of "at risk" money. It's easier to escape in an S+ class car but lower tiers are at risk.
They got nerfed in heat. When heat first came out, the cops were arguably harder and more aggressive but people complained about it and they got nerfed
I use to think the game was bugged when the cops didn’t show on the map but then realised it was an undercover 😂 cops have made me rage more on this nfs than any other
How to make it basically impossible to be spotted by a cop…buy the 32k auxiliary part that doubles the time it takes for them to find you 🤷♂️ I got one on every car class so no matter the vehicle or event I’m doing once I escape I can freely get to the next event without worry
thanks for the hints ! cops are what i find intresting in these game, i started playing nfs heat, but the alert level stop only at 5 and you can only have a maximum of 6-7 cop following you and only 1 helicopter at a time. nothing a jump can resolve sadly. I WANT THEM TO BE ROUGHTER.. Oops sorry... But thats sad, they are so easy
I actually think the cops in unbound are too agressive in following you across jumps. it makes losing them a lot harder and feels like it lowers my own agency to be able to out maneuver them. I always used to hit jumps to get away from cops and it was satisfying to do. in this one they're glued on to you bo matter what outlandish path you take at 5 heat
Heat 5 is still easy to escape from. All you have to do is use evasive maneuvers (quick turns, drive off bridges/cliffs, make them drive into walls or other vehicles.

If I were to be honest with you. Everyone will hate my opinion and talk trash. Heat cops were a joke that for whatever reason people struggled. (Skill gap) Nothing was hard about the cops in that game besides the corvettes. The damage system doesn't make them harder, just makes it impossible to anything towards them. So it's a losing situation and 3 repairs enforces that. They die easy in 3 to 4 hits. Sometimes even 2. The helicopter was nerfed to the ground and Despawn when you escape. They could easily be outrun and out played easily even with a stock car. (Handling didn't help much either) There was no roadblocks or spikes that would ever touch you whatsoever. The rhino was the only thing that took some awareness to avoid being rammed head on. (Also kills witches exists, but can be easily avoided by slamming the brakes. Or just ramming them. Simple. Once you escape that was it. No cops would spawn ahead. And you would easily finish cooldown. Unbound has more tactical deployment. Has an undercover policy that functions the way it should. Are harder to ram, but you can crash them out with cars. (The truck is definitely a force to be reckoned with. ) They deploy spikes and blocks more effectively. The damage system is far more forgiving allowing you to have fun destroying cops as much as you want. Helicopter functions just like it should be. Looking for you and not DESPAWN when you escape. Hiding takes some brains to do since they spawn near you looking for you, and turning your car off helps but does not mean they won't stop looking. Also more variety overall than heat by miles.
Thank you for this video. Someone finally shared my experience. Game is no fun if cops are this dumb. Seriously heat 5 with 2 choppers on u and u still escape easily just by driving under a tunnel or jump a ramp is boring. It’s like the cops are afraid to even touch your car. The best part is the heat resets once you’ve escaped. Boring AF
It only really resets back to your previous heat level. if you want constant heat 5 races you either need to begin the day/night with 5 heat or do a few high heat races to get the heat level you want
As if the MW helicopter wasn't the same thing. Did you even play MW to not know the basics? Even in MW they wouldn't touch you unless you let them pit you. Otherwise you could go around the highways endlessly without a single worry. (Because ALL THAT 25 COPS WOULD DESPAWN. )
Yeah sure, now try heat 5 with your pitiful starter car because Unbound basically forces heat 5 every time. Or you think MW cops are hard? Just admit you hate this game.
“ ^ “ this icon on the cop is the standard cop “ I “ this is the interceptor “ II” this is the undercover, there’s more for AWD and whatever else but i forgot
The police in Heat are somewhat difficult to deal with, especially destroying them with the car, even with one or two aggressive patrols, and you only had to lose them sometimes with a big jump. But in Unbound that was balanced, there it is no longer difficult. police, is grouped (5 vs 1, memories of MW 2005 only that it lacked a little aggression when they should have cornered). It's easy to fight them until the undercover and the Raptors arrive, there you run for your life.

They resume a pursuit while you’re in cooldown but do not spot you in heat 5 while out of pursuit and the car is off...
@@WSPonPlayStationandXbox Unbound looks like its somewhere between burnout and heat good balance
You actually can have reduced spotting time from the cops if you equip undercover racer and radio jammer from the Auxiliary section of Performance parts
I have this on every car, makes so much difference
5:09 wrong Rivals was able to have 2 choppers after you at once its not the first time they did that
They can summon up to 3 choppers during a pursuit and it's very rare.
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 at least Unbound's dont throw spikes...
3:37 I do Rule 1 of Rocket League, in Heat.
In Heat If you use your horn enough in front of a cop, they will initiate chase. Lay the horn in front a cop in Unbound they won’t chase
on the unbound patrol test. you activated a undercover cop. You can also hear him being mentioned in the test at some point.
5:32 That is a realistic mechanic If you put the engine in deep water it ends up damaging it in the long run and it will end up drowning, it's a pity it's not in Unbound but I love both games
MW2005 will forever be the standard every new NFS will be held up to in terms of police chases

nfs unbound cops: *im gonna find this perp*
Props to the Unbound devs for giving us a MW2005 location where cops have no idea what they're doing
The trailer part reminds me of the OG 2005 MW days just chilling on top of the bus depot
0:44 cops: we're here teams, let's do this
also cops: *jump into water
1:59 💀💀they really came back around
It would be pretty epic if some of the cops said, "We're the best in Lakeshore City compared to Palm City who do lousy police work and got 2 corrupt cops, a Lieutenant with his Right Hand." 😂
7:28 - undercover unit. They have an icon over the car in the world but they are hidden from the map
Like many people have stated, the last one is literally called UNDERCOVER for a reason.
Actually in Rivals, they can rarely call in 3 choppers in a single pursuit. That happened on my game once.
Never forget there's always a cop who RKO from fucking nowhere to one of the racers in campaign.
Unbound is no joke.
Don't try trigger them with high heat.
I never play Heat but i enjoy in Unbound.
Next video, I'll play Heat after completing Unbound.
And no need to go heat since you have nothin more but an other city.
Yes I am aware that Heat had day cops but the problem with that is that they start at heat 1 and building it up to heat 5 is a genuine pain and not to mention that you don't keep the heat during the day
Both games suck, period.

The fall of the bridge is basically mw and carbons equivalent of hitting one of those orange triangles which is a deathtrap to them
There is a lake in Unbound near one of the racer hideouts that I kept driving into to lose the cops. They will follow you into it.
According to my personal experience, I have played all the NFS games, with the exception of UNBOUND, and I consider that the AI of NFS RIVALS, and NFS HOT PURSUIT are among the most complete and difficult I have seen.
Rivals them mfs were on ya ass even at heat 1 and heat 3 goddam
Considering that Rivals had the most OP cops, they are very deadly, brutal, aggressive. Also, they want vehicular manslaughter for Racers in sight, including Racer players.
There are no pursuit breakers and no hiding spots, so the only way to survive or escape is to get away from them. Losing the cops in Rivals is near impossible. This will be very tricky, as the cops use rubberbanding too much, meaning that the pursuit will still resume.
Similar to HP 2010, cops will drive elite, fast, and strong hyper cars. Instead of the Corvette in higher heat levels, they will drive these cars:
- Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
- Hennessey Venom GT
- McLaren F1 LM
- Lamborghini Aventador
- Koenigsegg Agera R
- Koenigsegg One:1
- Aston Martin One-77
- Lamborghini Murciélago
Those cops can easily reach you at an intersection every time you are about to reach to one.
The not showing up on the map thing is a definite jump, scare in my case
Also, don't forget no cops in online mode, NfsU is just a big L. And they even lied saying you would be able to disable all the effects when that's not possible...
I preferred the cops on unbound.
You can really out run them by cornering on city.. even in heat 5.
you can use those few seconds of spotting.
They dont ram you so easily and that "refuel" moment they give you time to escape..
Cops on heat are too much aggressive they ram u all the time and the damage are ridiculous..
Heat suddenly increases with no reasons..
So unbound for me.
"for the first time in nfs,you can be chased by 2 HELICOPTERS",dont forget nfs rivals btw.Only og ppl know that game...
In Heat, after they stopped to search for you, and you drive by sowly they follow you for some seconds to mske sure that you are the person they had searched for
But this doesnt happen often
Anyone remember the cops from NSFMW 05 and how aggressively terrifying they were at heat level 4 and 5? Plus the police chatter was so good.
Yep, and the AI was also really well made for that time imo
Nothing more scary than 20+ white Corvettes on your tail, and then a rhino forces you off the High Way.
I miss the seriousness and the realistic voice and sound FX tones of the NFS blackbox series cops.
Unbound gave us the option to turn the car off to make it easier to not get seen but the cops always end up finding me
In defense of the cop not stopping in Heat, the donut shop was closing in 5 minutes.
I'm loving the cops in unbound
They do the same in Heat regarding of the bridge in some instantses. There's a jump in the docks which you can go over it and all the following cops will jump and fall
Last one is undercover as most of the ppl said BUT like mentioned you get them at heat 4, they will NOT show up on your minimap just when they started to hunt you, how ever on the street you can see a small shiel icon over their head so if you are careful you can still see them
When they don’t spawn on the map it’s an undercover cop
I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I prefer the voices of the Heat Cops, that one dude just always sounds so angry and arrogant I love it
7:20 "is that the knucklehead racer we're after?"
Nice comparison
Shiet the police car burnout just killed me😂😂😂🔥💯
These cops are having as much fun as the player I bet when I see them jump like that
4:05 the timing seriously 😅😂😂
And this is why i love heat and would much rather play it over unbound
I wish NFS had a police Simulation game in the sense that when you run from them, they act/behave like real cops when pursuing some running, and trying to stop a pursuit in progress. Definitely a huge fan of NFS 3 Hot Pursuit, NFS Highstakes, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, and NFS Carbon
Undercover cops don't show up on maps but they still have their undercover icon on the top. So you have to be careful if you're rolling on a lot of "at risk" money. It's easier to escape in an S+ class car but lower tiers are at risk.
I like that it's easier in unbound. I hated dealing with cops in Heat
Heats cops are easy If you know the tricks
They got nerfed in heat. When heat first came out, the cops were arguably harder and more aggressive but people complained about it and they got nerfed
The undercover cop is a true undercover. Sometimes, I'll spot them when it's too late.
I use to think the game was bugged when the cops didn’t show on the map but then realised it was an undercover 😂 cops have made me rage more on this nfs than any other
How to make it basically impossible to be spotted by a cop…buy the 32k auxiliary part that doubles the time it takes for them to find you 🤷♂️ I got one on every car class so no matter the vehicle or event I’m doing once I escape I can freely get to the next event without worry
imagine nfs unbound with *wreckfest* crash physics and sound crashes, it would be way more addictive
About continers, in heat you must to jump to reach them, in Unboud it's a track, of course they gonna follow you.
2:00 That is a dedicated cop👮♂️
😂at last scene 🤣🔥
I think its not nfs unbound 🙌its nfs Undercover 😅
turning the car off drasticlly reduce the chance they see you, and even if they look right at you from above they still wont see you
The heat 4 undercover cops ALWAYS get me
7:29,because there is special. Cops who cannot be spotted on the mini map,its the 4 flames,a Chevrolet
God I wished they would work on letting the cops chase you when you go over the speed limit
The Cops AI from MW 2005 are still THE golden standard
How come a game almost 18 years old still beating this crappy AI!!!?
Rivals had the most deadliest cops than MW 2005 that's for sure.
thanks for the hints ! cops are what i find intresting in these game, i started playing nfs heat, but the alert level stop only at 5 and you can only have a maximum of 6-7 cop following you and only 1 helicopter at a time. nothing a jump can resolve sadly.
@@angelwilliams8965 I guess it's not ease of escape that I want, more just variety of escape. like all the old tricks from most wanted just simply don't work anymore and I mostly just have to drive them into roadblocks and oncoming traffic. it feels a little lame
@@angelwilliams8965 And no, they're not hard to escape either, they're so hard to evade which is actually what I love to see because I love some Cop action, I don't care what anyone says about the Cops being so "easy", just deal with it lmao. Oh and I'm not saying this because of "skill issue" or because of what car I'm in, I'm sure no matter the car I'm in or how fast it is, the Cops are so goddamn hard no matter what in my opinion.
And I'm playing on intense difficulty and I'm still enjoying it and grinding it regardless of me getting busted several times in the process.
@@WSPonPlayStationandXbox it's just basically playing frogger..evading them is the least interesting part of the cops lol. man if you enjoyed them that much go play OG most wanted or hot pursuit 2. not only was it way harder there but it felt a lot more natural and you had way more creative escape options.
Nice, great comparison!
I swear it’s for me it’s so much harder to shake cops off in this game then in heat for some reason
Best and funny comparison 😂
He must have been an undercover cop heat level 4 cop. Take care. :)
2:08 *WEEEHEEEE ! ? ! !*
Actually in need for speed rivals you can get chased by 2 helicopters dropping spiked in front of you
If I were to be honest with you.
Agreed! Unbound’s cops are harder and better than heat
It makes sense for them to not wanna jump a bridge
Fricking love the effects in Unbound 😍
I hate them
@@wadimek116 yeah it ain't everyone's thing. Heat is pretty much the same game though tbh just without the effects so at least there's options.
I absolutely hated them when i first saw the trailer, nowi think theyre alright
@@smilloww2095 it's all about choosing the ones you like the most for your car and the design you're going for.
0:58 that one cop made me spit out my drink
Ain’t gonna front the cops on heat be fucking me up💀
