SAFE TRAVELS 🚐
♥︎ Danna
Hello Friends. Come with me while I shop for a new Trailer or RV. Thank you for watching and for all of your support. Happy Saturday ✨💖
QUESTION: What is the thingy you're wearing as a "purse" around your neck and hips? Thanks sweet lady!
@@liz4581 I'm not Danna but it's a crossbody purse.
@@Diamond-pm3vt Okay... thank you very much for the information!! I love the strap on it!
@@liz4581😮😮😮😅😅😮😮😮⁷ 4:33 4:33
We have an RV! We redid the whole inside! Just a tip: even if you only go #1 in the bathroom, you’ll still have to clear the black tank (if that was why you didn’t want to use it) but honestly clearing the tanks is very easy! You just pull a lever if you’re hooked up to sewer! If your not, a lot of camp areas have dump stations, for your gray/black tank! One other thing to remember is: if your car can tow the trailer weight wise- remember not to overload it with too much. Ex. If your car can tow 5000lbs but your trailer is 4500lbs. You can only have 500lbs of stuff inside! Goodluck shopping!!! Rv life is so fun!
Thank you so much for all the tips!! that’s great advice. I think I’ll probably have to upgrade to a bigger vehicle to tow. I have so much stuff lol 😅 hope I get to join you in that RV life sometime soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Yeah we have a 25’ and it had a queen size bed - we made it into two single beds so you can have a wider space in the middle to walk and reach the overhead cabinets. It’s much better!!! Now we can use that space during the day easier too if we need to - to watch tv or have the grandkids be able to play games with a little table in the middle not to mention we can reach the overhead cupboard easier! We also took a bench out around the table and put the table on a movable bookcase base and we love that too. We use small chairs/stools instead of the bench. 😊
The table base was a cheap pedastal thing.
@@montanadannayou can always switch it to a composting toilet.
@@sophiarose7610Id rather use my 6 gallon bucket with a 13 gallon trash bag and real wooden toilet seat than have that nasty stuff sitting inside my trailer. Do your business, pull out bag ,tie up ... throw out in the trash. Kitty litter for the ladies. Nothing to empty or clean up as in a black water tank.
Don’t negotiate and RV using monthly payments. Negotiate the full sale price first. Get that down and then figure out any trade ins, or what your payments will be AFTER you have an agreed sale price IN WRITING from the dealership. Don’t let them play “four square” with you. They always win. Good luck!!
I came here to say the same thing!!
I have been doing my share of homework over the years on types of rigs and whatnot. Dealerships ALWAYS over price. Do research and reviews on the specific rig and come in with a lower offer than you'd know they would take and then meet somewhere in the middle. No matter how sweet they are, they are still sales people!
Also, something else I have looked into, if I get a travel trailer (still in my "shopping for an RV era") is to be a "WorKamper" You get a spot at an RV campground, so you have all the hookups; electric, sewer, water, etc and then work 10-20 hours a week to earn your keep. Or some places pay you a lower hourly rate that is deducted from your bill. You can do this for 3-6+ months at a time....Thought I'd throw that out there as an option. That way you'd have time to settle, breathe, make musicals 😍😘 and then travel to another spot as the weather changes.
I very much felt the vibes in this video. You always get me motivated to stick to my goals. I am so in awe of the ACTION you take. You are always real and honest. Thank you!!
Also, looking forward to the health goals, cuz I gots the exercising down lately but damn, junk food is my weakness! I have been tracking lately and that helps, but I could always use accountability and motivation!!
LASTLY, I absolutely adore how kind you are. Thank you for the reminder to pay it forward!!
Anyways...I haven't touched the caffeines today... 🤪😅
danna your energy is a magnet! the offer of help w the jump, the giftcard, the woman spilling her life story
Ok, while I do think some sort of RV would be better than your current set up, it seems like most of what you're looking at, you just want to either change out or not use half of what these rvs come with anyway..which doesn't make much sense to me..
My main thought is that with all of your interests and hobbies between music, crocheting, a ton of outfits/wigs etc that you want for your extensive musical videos, and how you like to decorate and all of your clothing, makeup, etc, etc..I just think you are simply not nearly minimalistic enough to really function and stay organized without either a quite large rv, or best choice to me for your personality and all of the things would be to just get yourself an apartment. It would make your life so much more manageable and calm and give you and all of your stuff so much more storage and room! Just my thoughts!😜Something with a toilet and shower seems sooo much a necessity and would make your life so much smoother, and give you more time to focus on the things you really want to.
Sometimes apartments are outrageously expensive!! Especially in St.George! My mortgage is lower than ppl's apartments! Crazy! Plus if she has an apartment then how will she be able to afford to do both?
Caution.......RV dealers are Lower than used car dealers ! And RV's are right under them beware, bewar , Beware..........Used from a private owner will save you big$$$, the RV market is way down you can find a deal. Good Luck.
💯🙌
Exactly, people buy RVs and use them once or twice and then realize they aren't interested in it . And then it sits for years as they try to push it on someone else. I bought a special order cargo trailer with lots of windows and built it like a beautiful log cabin inside. I built to my needs and taste . And everyone that sees it can't believe it looks so good and it is built like a brick 💩house. These regular RV trailers aren't built to customize like this lady thinks.
Absolutely agree
Do not tow with your vehicle ! You will need stabilizers and air bags , and a sway bar, it will cost ALOT .
You can tow a trailer over 5000 weight no matter what the guy tells you. Your new transmission will go quickly.
I think you would be better off getting class c . The older ones honestly are great, so check those out .
Please do not tow with your car, I don't want to see you in the middle of the dessert ripped in half !
Btw we live in ours right now , we use the toilet all the time it's not as bad as you think. You just have to keep it clean .
How much older does a class c have to be in order to be good?
Buy used campers - they depreciate so quickly, and so many for sale at way discounted prices. There are already nice upgrades in many campers done e tea by previous owner.
Good idea! I’ve been looking at those two. The only thing is, I’ll have to put a bunch of money into it, which isn’t ideal. I’ll keep on looking. It would be perfect to find something lightly used that still in good condition. And I’ll have to get financing, which is tricky when buying from private sellers.
@@montanadannaYou can find a ton in TX that ppl thought they’d use, but they couldn’t bc they work all the time. I’ve seen quite a few on consignment lately.
I have a class C Winnebago. I love it. It has everything you need. Bathroom, shower, bed, living room, Kitchen, microwave and convection oven, one slide, and over head bed, but I use it as storage. I also tow my jeep gladiator and bring my bike. but you live differently than I do. So you may not like one. good luck. I really like your hair without the extensions. looks so nice. Ive never seen Harry Potter. I haven't seen many movies. Not my thing I guess...lol
Awesome! I’ll take a look online and see what I can find. Sounds dreamy!
Oh man! I would love to organize your trailer! The biggest problem is that you have too much stuff in too small a space. It doesn't look like you're into downsizing, so the only solution is substantially more storage and creative organization. Right now, if you bought the biggest RV out there, I don't think you'd be able to fit all of your belongings without some serious storage creation. ❤
Buy used! They depreciate SO fast and all are cheaply made so you’ll be doing repairs regardless.
I’d get something small and a smaller car to tow since it’s just you and you can travel around easier ❤
And with used, you aren't waiting 6 months for a warranty repair while having no where to live
Exciting times, i hope you find a lightly used, van at the perfect price for you. Think about how much simpler life will be in so many ways. Get selling your excess stuff to get you on your way.. Looking forward to seeing what you end up buying. ❤❤
A van won’t work with what I’m doing now. I need room for lots of props and definitely need to upgrade on space instead of downgrade. Need the excess stuff to complete my passion/musical.
@@montanadanna lol sorry when I say van I mean it could be a van, toy hauler, caravan, motorhome etc, in Australia we just lump all the versions under van, cause we like to confuse issues, (it's a national trait). Yes I can see you do need more space for your needs or else "Some Dumb Blonde" is going to go "Bat Shit Crazy" soon. (Another Aussies saying) Happy hunting we shall ask the "Van Gods" to pray for you.....
Looking for RVs in the rain could be a good thing. You can tell if it leaks.
Only a woman gets a gift and stretches it to gift others ❤ Patriarchy can’t do that! Matriarchs care for all 🫶
It felt good to pay it forward and share the love 💖✨
💯 Hufflepuff. ❤ would love to see you in trailer with a kitchen a comfy bed and a bathroom. My hubby worked for an RV dealer in parts department. He suggested to make sure furnace, water heater and AC are in good working order. If it’s an older model look for water leaks and structure. Parts to replace items in an RV are very expensive. But you are good at DIY. Best of luck
Good advice.
Grifendorf) Dana you are a testament for always coming up with a plan for enjoying life you never come off like everyday is rainbows and unicorns you keep it real I appreciate what your vlogs show to the world it’s called real life ❤
Our little fam is living in a trailer while our house is built and we love it! It has a small bathroom, kitchen, and bunk beds. We bought it used ($12K) which was way cheaper than new!! Pulled with a used older GMC Sierra ($9K).
You need something more dependable to drive also
Ooohhhh!!!!! This could be exciting! Can't wait to see how this all turns out!
St George is usually a good place to buy trailers. People go south snowbirding then health or death or what ever happens and they sell their trailers in St George area. Look at the ads in the paper.
There are good people out there. KUDOS to the one who left you a Starbucks gift card for $25. and........ HALLELUJAH! YES! I need to revamp this body throughout the month of MAY! I'm excited.
What a kind man coming to help you with your vehicle. He seemed sincere and helpful. AND....... you did it!!!!!! Hurrray!
I loved the RV that you said "oh I don't mind the bed being on the side"....
I can see the distress in your eyes/soul whenever you get back in your present rig and its rattled and shaken and you're unable to get to your stuff, just to cook! I want the RV for you!!!! You've worked so hard.
Oh girl! I hope and pray you can get a nice RV. But your escapades in your trailer Are sure entertaining. I enjoyed this one.
RV Shopping is Fun! Planning how you would decorate it is even funner! The Pink stuff is probably Antifreeze that was put into the water system.
Fine blend of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, here.
Yay you for paying it forward!
The new RV/Trailer adventure will be fun- and I firmly believe that the right thing will come at the right time. Just keep an open mind!
So glad I found you (through Skyler) and will keep following along. You remind me so much of my oldest daughter.😊
The pink stuff in the sink and shower is from winterizing the RV. It comes right out when you turn on the faucet. Best of luck in finding something that you love!
It’s called antifreeze
Thank you so much ✨💖
Ravenclaw! Crossing my fingers you get the RV you want, they all look like great choices 🤞🏼🌻✨
I think it’s great that you get a proper RV so you can cook do your thing. Make sure you do your research. They will sell you a rig and say your suburban can haul it and then you might find differently. You wanna be safe out there on the road so, don’t get too lost in the cool stuff do your research and nothing wrong with buying used. Some of these new rigs can be just as bad so make sure you inspect it thoroughly when you buy be aware. Good luck it’s exciting. Sending you positive energy hope to see you on the road someday.
I really envy you look up to you for everything that you do by yourself. You are really some thing else. I hope you get that trailer so you can be more comfortable and have more room so happy you’re back do it videos all the time they’re🧚♀️
Lots of options to choose from. Best of luck. It'll work out. Safe travels.
I love the Donald
Hahah😊
So happy for your new exciting change with more storage!!!! Hoping and praying you can do this asap, so it makes life easier for you to function!!!
Can wait for that work out 💪 ❤
Can’t wait for you get a new trailer! Can’t wait to see how you decorate it!🥰
Just my opinion but if I were shopping for a pull behind or 5th wheel I’d look for a pre-covid build only because there were a lot of small companies popping up to fill the demands during that time & a lot of issues in those ‘quick’ builds (unless you can afford a Winnebago or one of the premier builders - I’m not sure I’d trust the lower end builds) good luck with your search - I’m sure you’ll be much more ‘at home’ in a kitchen bath & bedroom to live in - looking forward to seeing what you decide on & add your brilliant touch to your living quarters 🤗 o TIP on buying used - check the ceiling thru-out especially in the corners (inside closest - etc) any discoloration on the ceiling could indicate a leak issue with the roof! The pink stuff looks like what is used in the pipes to winterize - should just rinse away
The pink stuff is from the unit being winterized. Also, a friend of mine told me solar isn’t really worth it in an RV. Definitely something to ask questions about but we decided against it in the end due to costs
Sunshine
Hey Danna! Loved the RV shopping adventure - you're such a trooper! Can't wait for the next vid. Gryffindor here, by the way. 🦁
We have a VW Atlas, our vehicle is only a v6 and we have a 25ft pull travel trailer and our atlas pulls it fine on regular roads although I don't suggest that. When we use it for camping and whatever we always borrow my in-laws truck or brother in-laws truck. We'd love to sell our atlas for a truck but we've been trying to pay down the atlas enough that we'll actually get what its worth. Travel trailers are a godsend if you have the right vehicle to tow. If you get a smaller trailer your sunburn will tow just fine depending on how much weight you put in it
I am so excited for you! Good luck! I love thé new colors for your tops. 🩵🩵🩵
Get the RV!!!!
I have a 42 ft Momentum toy hauler. Love it , live in it full time.
Oh, awesome. That’s great to hear. It would definitely be a dream. Do you have solar in yours? I’ll be off grid 99.99% of the time.
And hubby and I lived in an RV for about seven years!
Where did you park it? I’m new to learning anything about RVs but curious after this video!
Cracked up at the fast speed.. That was a great edit!! 🤣
I just found you today and I’m hooked. You are so real, funny and extremely entertaining!
Watch her older videos, she is sooo funny!
Thinking I might find Ravenclaw interesting. So kind of this person to leave you a Starbucks gift certificate, and sweet of you to make someone else's day. It's so hard living as you say in a closet, it's a fiasco everytime you need to get something that has been perfectly packed away until it's not. So impressed that you charged your battery without any help, but it was really nice the guy offered assistance. It's fun shopping for a motorhome or the next best thing, I'm really hoping something very special happens for you there. Always great to see you Danna, enjoy getting the giggles from your sweet banter. Thanks for the update, and I hope you have a great week.❤️👍
Get ride of every thing in both storage units, you will saving money by not paying two rents and then you’ll have money for a trailer, but I suggest getting a Sprinter van instead.
Thanks!
Too cool for school. 😊 I hope u get the trailer!
Having your power unit and living unit separate is wise. If your power unit is in the shop, you can have your trailer towed anywhere safe. Vice versa you can always sleep in the power unit short term. Either way you aren't dropping $100 or more a night on a motel. Toy haulers rule. I live in a 17 foot tandem axle with my wee mutt and all the amenities. We are House Toyhaulerin.
18:10 "Pink Stuff" It is 'RV anti-freeze' (and non-toxic) for drains and water system. Used to WINTERIZE RVs.
A regular truck can't tow more than 5000lbs. You'll need a dually 3500 truck to tow those big 24' toy haulers.
Your SUV can tow a 19 footer. Look at your tow bar, Max weight is 5000lb
I love RV shopping videos.
“The Donald”…LOL. I love you! 😂 Would you believe I have never watched Harry Potter? *gasp*. I should get on that. Best of luck finding the perfect home. ❤
I’ll be selling my Vintage Airstream soon… you’d love it!! You can become a Solo Streaming Sister!
Ooooohhh. Airstreams are so cool! But so expensive lol 🥹
Donate it to her.😊
We’ve been living in our RV since November and we love it. It does require maintenance but honestly it’s probably way less than your current trailer. TH-cam is a good resource for maintenance and you can do most of it yourself.
Is there another one? RAVENCLAW!!! The clever and quirky ones! I hope that you can get the perfect home. Since you are selling things, it might be a good opportunity to keep only what you really need, so that you can save money on storage and live more comfortably, with less things taking up space, which means easy access and less time organising and tidying up.
Very nice ❤ I wish everything works out to your advantage.
That pink stuff in the sinks is winterizer.
So excited for you if you get new space! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
🙀holy guacamole that you can pull a rig like that! Props girl! And to carry your props! 🎉
I’m not scurred 😅 it would totally be worth it to have a kitchen and more space!!
@@montanadanna Most definitely! Since you have been pulling your trailer, it will be the same but just longer!. DONT go into the wind though!!!
💞🙏💞🙌💞
The trail of tears is in Tahlequah, Oklahoma
I have to ask, wouldn't a motorhome or camper truck be easier to park and stealth camp than a big ole trailer? Of course, that may not even be a concern of yours, but I thought I would ask anyway. Good luck with whatever you decide on.
Hey Danna! Been forever since I caught up with your travels. Glad to see you're doing well. I was looking into a similar RV over the winter and I've narrowed my selection down to the "2024 Forest River Explore 18RR Grey Wolf Toy Hauler". So check that one out if you want. I like it's simplicity and the newer ones have a larger, "farm-sink" so easier to wash dishes. Stay away from those small split sinks. They are a PITA to do cooking ware and dishes in. Good luck, best wishes, safe travels!
Also, throughout the midwest, we've been hammered with many large hail storms this year, so I don't know if you can track down heavily discounted one due to hail damage, but it could save you a lot. There's one dealer west of St. Louis near me that got hammered hard about a month or two ago with baseball size hail!
I have that exact one on my bucket list lol. I’ve been talking to people in Michigan. I haven’t been able to find one locally though, maybe in Salt Lake City as I drive up north. The only thing is I heard the quality isn’t great, but the price is good and anything is an upgrade from the cargo trailer lol.
Get u some Goodstate Ultra liquid zinc. Helps so much with allergies and sneezing and itchiness (liquid absorbs best) its just a liquid vitamin
Ravenclaw 🤘🏼😛
You have so much energy....get it all done in the next 10 years cuz the 50's it's all down hill and your energy levels will change drastically! I love the first camper you looked at but it looks so long...can't imagine taking it on the highway. I live in a DW and am turning 62 in June. I want a tiny home next but I would have to get rid of 95% of my stuff. Decisions, decisions. Keep on keeping on pretty girl!!!!
Good luck with your new rv! I’m griffyndor
Hope you find simething you like!❤
I hope you find the right order for you
There are some good deals on RVs these days. the dealers are hurting for business. Honestly I would not be worried at all about using the toilet. All KOAs have dump stations as far as I know. The key to the black tank is to use plenty of water. Slides add extra weight for sure but the extra room is worth it if your tow vehicle can handle the weight. A newer used one will be less money but you will not have a warranty. Never watched Harry Potter, LOL. Good luck with your search...
1st time here, youre funny, stay safe
Sold my van and am now in a 25 ft travel trailer. So much happier!
the 4 Houses are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin 🙃
Danna my guess would be Skylar😊
We love you, girl! Come to the East Coast!!
Griffin door. Good morning Dana, I notice you driving with no hands on steering wheel sometimes it’s got to be cruise control or at least it appeared that way. Good luck on your RV. Have a bless day☕️☀️❤️
We are a family of Ravenclaws but my bestie girl is a Slytherin and she’s so ambitious, it’s inspiring!
Griffindor ❤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🧿✨
I’ve never watched Harry Potter, I’m not into fantasy. I loved this vlog! I love watching you shop around. I know ow you will find something that is perfect for you! 🩵🩵
PS..Don't trust what salesman says about being able to tow with your vehicle. Check the vehicle specs for towing capability.
Ravenclaw🤠❤️
I'm a hufflepuff 😊. Also that was so kind of someone to leave you a gift card 😀.
Wasn’t that so sweet! ✨💖
It was also kind of that gentleman to stop and offer you assistance. ❤😊 Thanks kind people.
@@montanadanna yes so kind of all the people you encountered as well as you paying it forward!
Your life would be so much better if you got one! Imagine having a bed you don’t need to make every night 😂🎉
I don’t know much about which would be better financially, but I’d be inclined to say a motor home would be better if you needed to upgrade the car as well? Plus being able to hop in the back when you pulls up somewhere would be safer 😊 this is probably because I personally would prefer a motor home than a caravan.
I’m with you on the May glow up. Looking forward to the extra videos ❤
Gryffindor for sure, I would definitely look around for a good deal, there are so many RV dealerships around where I live in Florida. I would not trust your Suburban to pull anything at this point, I would be afraid you could breakdown and stranded. Get advise from your Dad, check up around where he lives you never know what you can find. Best of luck always you always have an amazing aura around you ❤❤❤❤
❤
Slytherin😊 and sometimes when I take it again i get gryffindor too.😅
💛💛
I'm House Gryffindor 🥰
The Donald...lol Can you imagine the fun he would have with this? lol
A friend offered his Forrest River Wolf Pup with slide-out, turned down it bc I wanted something smaller & don’t want to haul a bunch of stuff. He’s been in it 3 years & never even used the potty. He’s on his way to Kansas now.
Oh nice! Yeah, smaller is better if you can manage it. I need to upgrade for what I’m doing, but everyone certainly has different needs. What are you in now?
Hey, I just noticed you changed your channel name back. I used to live in an RV it felt like I was camping every day. Insulation was horrible, but it was still a fun adventure. Good luck with your search ❤
I would either go for a sprinter van or RV. I would ditch the whole trailer thing. It’s time to retire your car😬😊
Girlfriend that beetle was good luck (even though he dead)- I think you are on a gold vein right now! 🎉
That was the coolest beetle I’ve ever seen 😮 I’ll take the good luck lol.
@@montanadanna Ride that wave!!!
Thor makes a class C toy hauler.
❤❤❤❤❤
We want to see you safe!! Please get one!!
The other one is Ravenclaw. I am a Griffindor!!
Yeah those that have the bump outs.... THAT is just another thing that can break 🤦♀️ PS it's Ravenclaw 😊
Good luck buying new rig. Wishing you a good choice. Hope you manage to get a loan. Good vibes. Oh. BTW I'm Ravenclaw
