Coming from a Laker fan, he was a bad man. A pleasure and joy to watch. If not the first, one of the first stretch big men. Him and Nash on the Mavs where so fun watching.

As a spurs fan, i have nothing but the utmost respect for Dirk and the culture he brought to the Mavs. A true class act. The playoff run they went through on the way to the championship was nothing short of magical. Everyone knew that title was theirs.
Dirk is the reason why I started watching Basketball and fell in love with the sport. Without Dirk I wouldn't have made my High School Basketball team. Dirk is the reason.
Dirk revolutionized the game. I remember watching big men in the 70's, 80's and 90's. All were stationary. Then Dirk comes along and handles the ball like a point cared, crossing over down the lane and dunking. He was far more than a shooter. But he was as clutch as they came. And should have two rings cuz 06 was a theft by the refs.
Conspiracy in my opinion in 2006. Dwayne Wade's family member in Chicago has mysterious death. He later allows his son to be treated like a girl. Now he gets all this TV show fame. Finally, he is some sort of part owner with the Utah Jazz but you see him more at Miami Heat games. This is all suspicious. By the way, I believe there was a cloud around one of the refs too.
Dirk watching you throughout my childhood and seeing you in the HOF is truly our honor. Playing for one team is just unheard of and you are a true pro. I’ve never cheered for a team harder than my Chicago bulls than that team who you won the finals with in 2011 along side my childhood favorite player Jason Kidd. Congrats!

So ein guter Spieler, aber noch besserer Mensch! Gratulation zur Hall of Fame Dirk, verdienter geht nicht!
As a Laker fan i cannot avoid the fact that in 2011 we witnessed the most Epic playoff run ever.
Without any superstar teammate facing multiple trios and superteams.
That Championship Run will last Forever
Every fan's relationship with Dirk is so personal (mine included). It is that common theme that molds this whole thing together. He's our friend, our idol, our hero. Everything about the relationship is pure and speaks to the common folk. It's once in a lifetime.
Its 00:10 and I finished reading the biography of Dirk 30 minutes ago. Now watching this.
I am in tears and so proud of him. I’m from Germany and this guy is just so humble and a great human being. A role model for everyone.
Love you Dirk❤
Congratulations to Dirk from his native Germany. You are a wonderful representative of your sport. Be proud of yourself and stay as you are just super human....🇩🇪🙋♀️
The german translation for what he said to his parents is: "I will not forget what you have done for me for the rest of my life, and if I can half as good a father as you have been parents for me then I will be happy.
From every single one of us from Dallas, thank you for everything Dirk 💙
As a Spurs fan I’ve always like Dirk, total class act and those battles we had with Dallas were great and nerve wrecking at the same time.
I was so happy for him in 2011
Love Dirks game and how he is, will never be another like him. Great speech and hilarious 🥲 misss him in the NBA, thank you Dirk!
Big congratulations and respect to Dirk from a Spurs fan! Those battles were legendary and he was always a worthy opponent. ❤
every second of dirks speech gives goosebumps. what a true soul.
No bullshit, just honest and kind words with lots of respect.
We salute you Dirkules 🫡
Dirk deserves all the love !!!
Du bist mein Role Model Dirk. Unglaublicher Mensch der ganz nebenbei Bälle in einen Korb werfen kann als wär es das einfachste der Welt. Danke dass es dich gibt.
As a diehard Mavs fan. I knew the tears would start flowing once his time came. So well deserved!! Congrats Dirkie!!
One of the best speeches ever at the HOF..
that's wild, it was literally just a list of addressed "thank yous" xD
I'd give it a generous 7/10
@@maglufbet you gave wade 10/10 or a 9 😂
@@serbonkers4130 nah. I'd say Rodman's was a 10/10, tho. Can't think of any others as of now.
@@SonicCollectionsPS2Noises sure, you got me
@smtx79 for a 10/10? not just a list of thank yous. Check out AI's and Rodman's, those are 10/10 for sure!
That 1 legged dirk fadeaway is nasty
One of the greatest players on and off the court. I can’t imagine his parents be any prouder. ❤
Hands down the 2nd greatest power forward of all-time.
Everyone Loves DIRK! LEGEND!
respect to Dirk🎉my superman , goat of every Dallas fan ,love from Asia!
Respect to Holger man you can tell how proud he is of Dirk just in his eyes
Dirk will always be one of my favorite basketball players of all time. A good man and a legendary player. Congrats, you deserve this.
Coming from a Laker fan, he was a bad man. A pleasure and joy to watch. If not the first, one of the first stretch big men. Him and Nash on the Mavs where so fun watching.
As a lifelong Spurs fan, hearing him recognize Pop was just 🥹 Kobe was great and of course there was fear there, KG was great and intense, iverson was fearless and great, Shaq was dominant and great but there was no opponent I respected and admired more than Dirk.
Great to see Avery smiling. I miss that guy
Classy and heartfelt speech. Thanks Dirk, those words resound in every aspect in life
This makes me so emotional as a MFFLer. Congrats Dirk!
LETS GO DIRK, that 2011 Mavs team beating that super team was something special
I am from Dallas and have been a Mavericks fan for most of my life. Dirk will always be my all-time favorite Maverick. So proud of him for being inducted. What a great guy and a class act.
Class act. Nothing but respect for Dirk!
A Hall of Fame Speech + Stand Up Comedy Routine 😂😂😂😂
The real GOAT right here!!!
I feel so proud of Dirk as if he were my sibling. It was a privilege watching him play.
This guy is wonderful! Humble, grateful and very funny! 21 years in the NBA. My God😀
Congrats Dirk!! Deepest love from a spurs fan!
🖤🩶🤝💙🩶
Congrats to ALL of the Spurs!! Much love from Dallas!! 💙
Moin.Standing Ovation für eine lebende Legende.Danke für viele unvergessliche Basketballmomente.Sei weiterhin gesegnet.Liebe Grüsse aus Hamburg.
Dirk revolutionized the game. I remember watching big men in the 70's, 80's and 90's. All were stationary. Then Dirk comes along and handles the ball like a point cared, crossing over down the lane and dunking. He was far more than a shooter. But he was as clutch as they came. And should have two rings cuz 06 was a theft by the refs.
agreed 06 finals was rigged as hell.
All of this! 💙
By the way, I believe there was a cloud around one of the refs too.
plus Mark Cuban messed up his trajectory that summer when he didn't sign Tyson Chandler lmao Dirk could have run it back
Dirk is the G.O.A.T! A complete player. Very competitive and tough. A humble giant. Thank you for everything you’ve contributed to the game. 🐐🏆
Dirk and that one foot fadeaway jumper…man it was unstoppable! Congrats big man!
the definition of a hall of famer. carried a franchise and city for 2 decades. changed the game and left his mark. dirk forever.
Congrats!
His class, humility, greatness on the court, and HUMOR are one of a kind! That is why Dirk is my favorite player of all time and my GOAT!!!
Dirk YOU are the Face of the Dallas Mavericks! Thanks for all you did for our area. Your wife & children are precious. Go and enjoy the next phase of your life.
I lived in Atlanta and got to see Pete Maravich play.
Then i moved to Dallas and got to see Dirk play.
Im very blessed.
Dirk may be the last man to be loyal to a team for 20+ years. Respect to one of the greats.
True. Unless if Giannis leaves.
21 years... Kobe 20. Duncan 19.
@@mhua2 I think the Joker has good shot due to his play style. Giannis worries me on his physical play style besides that definitely agree with your comment.
@@WildDogg357Legends at work
Kobe, Duncan, Haslem
really wish he gave holger more light and recognition. the way he always tears up and the love he has for him. amazing
One of the greatest for sure, especially when it comes to mindset, respect and passion! Greatings from Germany 🇩🇪
Dirk is easily one of my favorite nba players of the 2000s and 10s. I always loved watching him play. And I was happy when he got his first ring. I'm sure Germany is proud of him. We loved him here
@@jonathanramos8414 we are, but unfortunatley basketball is still not as huge as soccer. But for sure, since Dirk this changed a bit.
Also one of my top players next to Jordan, Pippen, Kobe and guys like this :)
