9:30 Toski tells it like it is! Amateurs have almost zero hip opening because like Hogan put it you have to start with your legs. Everyone pulls down with arms!!

You got it! Over the top chop. It's hard to fight the "hit down on it" impulse with the hands and arms.

Bob, I took a few lessons from you at Country Club of Miami where I was a caddy at about age 15. I recall carrying your bag to the first tee for a clinic attended by at least 100 persons. You were asked by a woman why you did not become a jockey, to which you replied, " Mam, I do all my riding at home."
Are there transcriptions of your utube videos?
I distinctly remember you saying " feel the force, not force the feel."
Even with modern filming technology, it is very difficult to establish what comes first on the down swing. Without a doubt, the over the top chop is a swing fault of most players who should be bowling. Good eye/ hand coordination and the capacity to visualize a shot direction and trajectory seem to be the key elements. While teaching a great wide receiver, Hall of Fame, he asked when to uncock his hands in the downswing. I replied " when do actually reach out to catch a pass."
      Hope you are well!

The club hit the ball, the hands hold the club, the hands are attached to the arms, the arms are attached to the shoulders. Teachers can scream all they wan`t but the golfswing is always a arms and hands motion, of cause supported by the rest of the body.
You can hit decent shot with your feet togehter and just swing with the arms and hands but try the other way around, keep the wrists and arms absolute rigid and try hit the ball, Does not work that well, does it.

Agree. My dad, born in 1911, give me one instruction which was to swing the club back and forth and get out of the way!

Peter Kessler was the best. The Golf Channel went downhill after Arnold threw his ego fit and fired Peter.
