Enchantment is such a sketchy school. Anything that takes away another person's autonomy could be argued as being unethical, even if it prevents them from doing something unethical themselves. You could say that war crimes are part and parcel for adventuring parties, but enchantment magic seems like next level twisted.
Enchantment is just wrong. Of course I can roleplay an enchanter, because I'm a real life manipulator and asshole. But you guys stop appropriating my culture at once!
My favorite command is autodefenestrate (i.e. the act of throwing oneself out of a wimdow).

I feel like at a certain point, enchantment magic would definitely be thrown under as war crimes or at least highly illegal in magical societies
