Kenny, u sure was speeding down that road on that e-bike. Sure was nice to see the tiny home all decorated & it looks lovely. Glad to hear you have a set date for ur knee surgery. Wishing u smooth & speedy recovery Ken. 🙏🏽
A lot of people here in central Pennsylvania have those Sasquatch cutouts on their property. One of my friends, an avid hiker, thinks that she might have stumbled upon a den! I’m glad your surgery is scheduled so soon! Don’t skimp on the preparatory fitness or the physical therapy afterwards. One of my friends had both of her knees done at the same time, and you can be very grateful that you’re not going through that.
Prayers for a successful knee surgery and full healing. We loved the tour of the tiny house! It was so cool to see how they decorated it. You did an excelent job on that build. Have a blessed Thanksgiving, smooth surgery, and a joyful Christmas. ❤️🙏
Was nice to see the tiny home again and all those carvings. Looks like the timing worked out as you wanted for the knee operations and wishing the best on it for you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving with family too.
Wow, please thank Vince for letting you Share that with us it was wonderful to see. Those wooden carvings went so well with the wood panelling. It looks so beautiful, my house doesn't feel worthy now lol. ... Good news about your knees. I'll be sending you empathetic positive thoughts from across the pond to you on Dec 4th! ❤
In my case, the 3 times a week PT was the key to success. I was pretty much back to normal after 5 weeks. Good luck with your knee, and do the physical therapy!
What a fun video. I always enjoy the Ken's Roadtrip episodes. The tinyhouse looks fantastic. They did a great job of making it their own. I'm excited for you about the knee surgeries. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you on the 4th and in January. God bless
Praying for successful surgery. Can't really stress it enough on how important your home therapy is. Wish my surgery could of been scheduled that quick. Dr. is scheduled about 3 months out. We will keep you in our thoughts & prayers Ken. Stay safe & keep warm
At 69 years, I'm still very active with all types of carpentry repairs, mostly for Habitat or other nonprofits. As you know, the knees take some abuse. LOL Anyway, I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for you. Your channels will help me with my sanity during my recovery.
Congratulations on finally getting dates for both knee replacement. I might have mentioned it before my mother had both hips and both knees replaced. The last one was at the age of 81, a knee. She passed away 16 years ago at the age of 90 but was happy she had them done. I am quite sure you will be very happy with them. Looking forward for next videos. God Bless.
Good morning! The interior of the tiny home looks so cozy! They've done a great job decorating! It's so nice to see its being used by someone who loves it! Hope the new owner of the ebikes enjoys them greatly! Praying the knee surgery goes great and you'll soon be moving around pain free!!!
I'm so happy you got the dates for your knee surgeries. Don't slack on the physical therapy afterward. It is super important. I wish you a very successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Have a great Thanksgiving.
The tiny house looks beautiful. It truly went to a family who will enjoy it. I’m so glad to hear about the date for your knee replacement. The fact that you’re also scheduled for the second knee is amazing!!! Please, please, please do everything in your power to keep up with the physical therapy for the first knee. I cannot imagine having a second knee replacement before proper healing of the first. I’m praying for a successful knee surgery and speedy recovery. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It must feel great to have surgery dates coming up quick, I know getting his knee and ankle done changed me dad's life. Just make sure you do everything they tell you or you can risk ruining the fix.
It was great to see the tiny house again! Vince and his wife did a great job of decorating it. I like his mushrooms! The fish is a bass! Obviously, made from basswood... 😊 Congrats on getting the knee scheduled! It'll be Spring before you know it, and with two new knees, you'll be doing fantastic! 😁👍
Great video...lots of activity. So glad to hear you have tentative dates for "both" knee surgeries. That must help put your mind at ease being able to make some plans now for going forward. Nice to see the tiny house in "lived-in" mode. Good luck with the surgeries....
Ken, that monster green machine e bike sounded like a jet taking off over your microphone.😳😁 Nice to get in a Fall season ride before snow hits. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for the tour and God blessings to you and your family. 😊
Ken - I''m so happy for you on the dates. When they are done you will have to do physical therapy on the recovery. Make sure you do what they say otherwise it will limit your mobility. Will be praying for you.
When you asked about Dec. for your TKR I thought good luck. So until then , work on evey muscle in your body. You will need upper body strength to lift yourself out of chairs and the bathroom. You will need a stool to set on to take a shower. Your other leg will need to do more work durring your recovery. Of course you will need a walker and later a cane. But consider getting a Cryo/Cuff cold therapy cuff for your knee ( Amazon $98 ) also you can use ice packs by mixing 3 cups of water with 1 cup of alcohol in a zip lock back, it wont freeze just get slushy, I made 3 of them. Also you could use a 6' Gait Belt to do your PT with and to put under your foot to lift your leg into bed and out. A foam wedge pillow with a flat top to elevate your leg. Also some rolled up beach towels to support your knee. You will learn what you need in PT. I did use a crutch also instead of a walker when I went to the store. Take your pain pills as INSTRUCTED , its eaiser to keep pain away than to get rid of it. I hope all this helps you. Its been 4 years since my LTKR and my right is acting up. GOOD LUCK
December 4th!!! That’s my beautiful daughter Lauren’s birthday!!! I will be keeping you in prayer for a smooth surgery and recovery. I know it will be cold there, but ice is your friend. And be sure to alleviate your pain as soon as it starts so as to not get a high pain level too quickly. You’ll see. I just use the high Tylenol. I can’t do the loopy ones. Make my tummy loopy, and well, let’s not say. Blessings and prayers and Gods healing over you friend. And be sure to do your exercises. (Yes mother) No, I’m not old enough to be your mother. But I’m your age. I think??? I just had my birthday on the 16th. I’m so sleepy in the afternoons. 🥱🥱🥱😴 Happy thanksgiving. 🦃🍽🍁🦃🍁🍁🍁🍁
Ken, great news about your surgery, you will be climbing up ladders next summer faster than Dan and Chad !!! I’m having surgery on December 4th also on my left hand, wrist and elbow. Good luck!!!
Best wishes for a successful knee replacement surgery. Let us know when you are going in so we can pray for you. I had my knee replacement surgery on March 4, 2024 in Calgary, Alberta. My surgeon did a great job. I feel blessed. My wife had her surgery for knee replacement on Nov. 6, 2023. She is flying down to the USA on Sunday to be with our youngest adult daughter in Irvine, CA. By the way, I was deer hunting in mid Nov. and my knee felt great.
Good luck with your knee surgery, my knee surgery is November 27. I look forward being pain free soon. Like you it's been a journey getting to this point.
Good luck with the knee replacement. As I've mentioned before, it's a walk in the park. In one day...home on the next and you're walking around before you leave the hospital. DO EVERY THERAPY AND EXERCISE THEY SAY. You'll be skipping rope in no time. After it's all done, you'll be asking yourself, "What was I so worried about?"
I pray everything goes well with you. I had my left hip replaced September 19 and get the right one done December 20 so we will be convalescing together yet countries apart. 😢
Thank you for showing the Sasquatch figures in Whitehall. I assume you are referring to Whitehall, NY. that ares has a long history of reported Sasquatch encounters.
Ken,it seems like you and Kaiya are going to have a lot of quality time together in December and January may your knee surgeries go really well so that you can get back into the saddle again with you tube projects 😮😊❤
Well good luck to you on your replacement. It’s not a walk in the park but after several weeks you’ll be glad you’re done. I had my second about six weeks after first and it went well. Couple things to recommend getting. Toilet stool seat extender, portable commode, portable urinal bottle for men. You won’t be able to run to the bathroom in a hurry.
I personally knew two people who had knees replaced. Both walked with canes, and when done they no longer needed the cane. One was a very tall guy, and mildly heavy set, and the other was a heavy set woman. So God willing should be running laps in no time.
Hopefully you are doing the daily exercises that are recommended before the surgery! Very important! I have had a knee and hip done. I highly recommend a toilet seat bidet and a urine bottle. It will be awhile before you have flexibility and and the ability to run to the bathroom. Hopefully they give you an ice machine to alleviate the pain. Freeze water bottles for it rather than ice. Take those pain meds! I was golfing after 5 weeks. Good luck and follow the doctors /physical therapists instructions!
Goods deal Ken. Had a neighbor who had both knees done & his was about 2 months apart, He did great & was soon back to flying his single engine private plane in no time.
Get ready for dancing. I've heard great things about knee replacement. That sure is a nice looking roof on the tiny house. I see they are using a small electric space heater to keep it warm enough for longer than a few hours. Those work great, if you have electricity available. Much cheaper and easier to install and use than diesel or wood heat.
I’m chuckling Ken, not because of your appointment date, well maybe it is, because in Canada if they say they have you penciled in for January, it means Jan in 2026 , 27 or 28! We wait years for mayor surgery! ! Ya it’s free, if we live that long!
Did you say you were excited?? Well, hopefully relief is on it's way. Tying up the loose ends is a good idea. Maybe Chad and Dan can "give you the business" while you recover. You won't be able to chase them, but you do have a drone. Thank you Ken!
Hi Ken! I had my knee replaced 2 years ago. No more pain. I do still have some numbness, but that's normal, my surgeon said. I was supposed to have my other knee done, but at a recent checkup, my surgeon said I still have full range of motion and not any considerable pain. So I'm just getting the shots for now. I had the Mako Smart Robotics total knee replacement. Pretty cool technology. Here's a description of the procedure. A "Mako Smart Robotics total knee replacement" refers to a surgical procedure where a robotic arm, called Mako, assists the surgeon in performing a total knee replacement by utilizing 3D CT scans to create a personalized surgical plan, allowing for precise bone cuts and implant placement based on the patient's unique anatomy, potentially leading to better alignment and faster recovery compared to traditional methods. Good luck with your surgery. 👍👍
If you need a wheelchair ramp check with Chad I’ve seen his work. I’ve been buying my stuff from Amazon and not the medical supply store. My wife just got a canvas boot for her ankle it was $28 and not $220 from the doctors office. Just saying good luck 🍀 and be ready to give us updates
Amazon has some incredible deals on shower grab bars for us older folks, too. Don't bother with the ones that use suction cups: They slide off when you need them the most.
Apparently the criteria for the second knee is degrees of range of motion and being pain free. At 4 mo. checkup, dr told a family member they’d assess again for doing 2nd knee at one yr. checkup. They want you to have full wt. bearing on 1st knee before moving to the second. Long slog.
Ken,You need Lauren to paint the garage door with a picture of some kind just add a little glamour to the workshop.hows Timmy eye sight these days miss Chad and Dan
THANK YOU, JESUS, 4th of Dec. GOD IS WITH YOU. I AM 🙏 🙏 🙏 HALLELUJAH. NICE to see the tiny home. They are sp pleased and BLESSED ❤ GREAT JOB. It makes you feel good to see how much they love it and take care of it. SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🇺🇸🙏🇮🇱🏡❤️
No hats were harmed in the making of this vid🧢👒🎩 I thought you burned some rubber on that E-Bike🚲🤣 The Tiny House 🏠looks very homey .... well done on that cool build! I hear that the Squatch is a replica of the 1st one in captivity, and it now has a job with Geico🦍I had heard that they played tennis, but I was skeptical about that .... until now🎾🎾 I'll have to Google that, cuz I need to confirm that the bottoms of their feet are really blue👣 All the best with your knee replacement(s) Ken. You'll be back to downhill skiing/ski jumping in no time👍🏻🏔🎿 Have a great day Ken, Sandi, Lauren, Chad +The Ferocious Kaiya, and the Chicklets🐔🥚take care✏📐🔨🪚✌🏻👣
Sent ya an email Ken...if something gets in the way of your date...come over for coffee and breakfast or dinner as discussed. Would be great to say hello...but I hope you keep your date!
I forgot to tell you when your setting at home AFTER your TKR operation, watch a You Tube video on TKR surgery. Then you will know why you are in so much pain.
Good luck with your surgery. Only you know how you feel, but seems like you move around pretty well for a knee replacement candidate. My leg would have to be falling off to ever consider letting someone hack on my knees. I have near zero trust in any of these doctors aside from their desire to make next months boat/house/car payment. My brother had it done several years ago, not so sure he is any better overall. Maybe slightly stronger, but still hurts him different ways. Gosh, I am so cheery about it. :) I mean well, you are a good dude and only hope for the best for you. I'd cancel it and try something else, you can never put the stuff back they will SLICE and SAW out. Did I mention I don't trust doctors?
@@sandygrant9220 Unfortunately, there really isn't a real good way to know how good any of these doctors are. There is of course the "I heard" system which seems to be the only way we are fed anything. The medical system has zero incentive to try to track patient outcomes so you could compare Dr A vs Dr B, C, and D. You can get far more information about getting a garage built. If I wanted to hire Ken to build a garage and asked him what else he has built, he would happily list off dozens of projects and maybe even have a list of customers who wouldn't mind sharing their experience. It doesn't take too much digging to find the contractor who is always late or doesn't show up, leaves a mess, refuses to fix issues, and so on. Or conversely the contractor who does what he says he will do and leaves a trail of friends, not just customers. Ask around at the hospital and imagine the stone wall you will get to find out anything aside from "all our doctors are the best around, TRUST US". I apologize for getting off into the weeds about this, I truly hope Ken has a great doctor and things come out perfectly. It's a serious thing.
The tiny home looks good but it is situated in a very cramped site. Does the owner live in a place on that site or actually in the tiny home ? The recovery from knee replacement surgery is tough for two weeks then eases, according to two friends who have had it done. Take painkillers and do the exercises.
Whitehall and Saratoga?? That is a LONG way from Lyndonville. How far did you go to deliver those bikes?? Hopefully they paid a decent delivery charge for your time and gas. Knee replacement in 2 weeks!!!
As a nurse I can't recall anyone so excited to be heading to surgery. God bless you and you will be in my prayers.
Hahahaha trading one long term pain for a short one I hope
The owners of the tiny house have filled it with love. So happy you have an early date for your surgery. Will definitely keep you in my prayers.
Yes definitely

Ken - I''m so happy for you on the dates. When they are done you will have to do physical therapy on the recovery. Make sure you do what they say otherwise it will limit your mobility. Will be praying for you.
Thanks I definitely will
When you asked about Dec. for your TKR I thought good luck. So until then , work on evey muscle in your body. You will need upper body strength to lift yourself out of chairs and the bathroom. You will need a stool to set on to take a shower. Your other leg will need to do more work durring your recovery. Of course you will need a walker and later a cane. GOOD LUCK
Thanks good info

I’m 7 months out from replacement and doing well. Heavy work fires up the muscles around it. I do have an annoying click when doing stairs.
Oh that’s interesting. Thanks

Their tiny home is parked in a wooded area near their home. They stay in it occasionally overnight as well as use it for when visitors come.
Ken, did you use the e-bikes much? They look really nice. Hope your knee operation goes well. I can’t wait to see this tiny house occupied
No. Less than 5 miles
I wish God would have given us zerk fittings on our joints so we could just pump some grease in them! 🤣
Haha I can request that
Apparently the criteria for the second knee is degrees of range of motion and being pain free. At 4 mo. checkup, dr told a family member they’d assess again for doing 2nd knee at one yr. checkup. They want you to have full wt. bearing on 1st knee before moving to the second. Long slog.
Thanks for the info
Better put the hat on. The puppy 🐶 wouldn't recognize you! 😂😂😂
Haha right
Ken,You need Lauren to paint the garage door with a picture of some kind just add a little glamour to the workshop.hows Timmy eye sight these days miss Chad and Dan

Thanks yes it does
That bike that is a beast. You should of kept
It was a good one
Check out your ice machine and verify it works properly before you go for surgery. My machine would use two 7 lbs of ice each day.
Thanks I’ll do that
No hats were harmed in the making of this vid🧢👒🎩 I thought you burned some rubber on that E-Bike🚲🤣 The Tiny House 🏠looks very homey .... well done on that cool build!
Hahahaha thanks for watching
Sent ya an email Ken...if something gets in the way of your date...come over for coffee and breakfast or dinner as discussed. Would be great to say hello...but I hope you keep your date!
Got it thanks
Good luck see you soon ...pain free❤
Thanks
I forgot to tell you when your setting at home AFTER your TKR operation, watch a You Tube video on TKR surgery. Then you will know why you are in so much pain.
I think you’re right
Good luck with your surgery.
Haha thanks. A good honest opinion. It’s bone on bone with nerves stuck in between. As much as I can I try not to show the pain
The doctor doing the surgery is one of the best in our area!
Ken are you getting knee replacement or miniscuss surgery. I will be remembering you in my prayers on Dec 4
Thanks. Total knee replacement
The tiny home looks good but it is situated in a very cramped site. Does the owner live in a place on that site or actually in the tiny home ?
The recovery from knee replacement surgery is tough for two weeks then eases, according to two friends who have had it done. Take painkillers and do the exercises.
They have lots of room outside to move around. They live on the same property! It's very beautiful!
Thanks. The tiny house is for grandkids and so on.
Whitehall and Saratoga?? That is a LONG way from Lyndonville. How far did you go to deliver those bikes?? Hopefully they paid a decent delivery charge for your time and gas. Knee replacement in 2 weeks!!!
They did. Yes I can’t wait
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Blessings
Thanks
Love the plastic wildlife, they don’t eat up your crops and shrubs
Haha
You doing a good job
Thanks
Good day to all.
Good day
@@kenskarpentry Yep
I am looking forward to purchasing an e-bike for me. I want power, meaning speed, and getting up trails?
I don' think you will find any e-bikes that top 25-30 mph. Motor watts and battery life is the way to judge power, not speed.
@rupe53 ty for the input
Nice I won’t be doing anymore reviews until spring
@@kenskarpentry ok
Great job
Thanks
