I live on the island and see planes fly over, especially around the coastline, and have often wondered what a birds eye view of the Wight looks like, your video does not disappoint. Thank you for sharing!
Smashing scenery Nick and Anna seemed very impressed, 😊 Glad to see you faster than the motorway traffic on take off, I say this because it was often NOT the case in my old Nord NC854S 😂
Do you know what, Tim?! I watched this episode back before releasing it and I thought to myself “I wonder if anyone will pick up on the motorway traffic on take off?!” we must meet up as soon as the weather picks up a bit. I hope you get your engine issues sorted super quickly. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
Great video . I can’t wait to get back to my homeland , the UK , in May after a gap of 2’5 years away . Maybe some flying at my local EGBO may be on the cards . Cheers mate and keep all your brilliant videos coming our way .
Thanks David! Definitely get yourself up there! I haven’t been pumping the videos out with as much consistency until lately as my old laptop just wasn’t up to the job. Honestly - it was painful trying to put an episode together before but my new one is made for it so I am going to keep them coming for sure!
Thank you! Yes it’s a lovely spot. The next episode is complete, uploaded and ready for publishing but Paul from Flylight has to watch it first to make sure I’m not putting anything on there that may hinder anyone else’s build so as soon as he has given it the go ahead, I will release it!
@@HowardShowt if your engine fails over any water crossing you’re in the drink! Does that mean people who cross the channel are “daft”?Difference is I’m right next to the land in a microlight with a stall speed of close to 30mph so not daft at all. 95% of any of that video I could have landed on the beach or absolute worst case scenario in very shallow water next to it. If it were a high energy aircraft, absolutely. The C42 has a glide ratio of 11:1 which means even if I were 200 feet up, 500 feet from the beach, I’m still making to land or at least the very shallow water. Either way I’m walking away from it absolutely fine. So no, not daft at all.
I fly the C42 and that’s way too low around the back of the island incase of engine failure. Have you taken drones into consideration? Personally I’d rather be able to glide to a field than shallow water. Madness
I think this is the most chatty Anna has been in any of your videos. You might take the girl out of Liverpool but you can't take the Liverpool out of the girl.

Ohhh, I was on vacation in Sandown for three weeks, 25 years ago :D So cool to see it here :)
Great video. thank you both for sharing.
Thank you Eric! It was a stunning flight. I always love flying to The Isle Of Wight!
Really awesome video and footage. thanks for posting.
Enjoyed it! 👍😀
Thanks Steve!

Wowsa!! You really got some nice airfields over there! Thanks for taking us along 🙏🏻
Sandown is definitely my favourite so far but I reckon I’ve got about another 850 to go 😂
Awesome video guys
Anna is way too chilled considering she's a passenger in a small aeroplane 😂😂
Nice vid that Nick well done mate

Watch out for drones flying if you are below 400f 😮
Your engine fails mate and you’re in the drink. Daft !!
