Thanks for the great video. I'm thinking of doing an IOW run myself in the near future, having just passed my PPL earlier this year. It was nice to hear the familiar Shoreham ATIS on the video - something I have heard many many times having done all my flight training there. Best wishes.
Great video! Your one of the only aviation you tubers I can find which thoroughly explains the controls and gauges. In 2 weeks time I'm starting to fly in the PA28 and start logging hours!
The Flying Reporter Can't wait! Can you start logging hours from 14 years old but unable to do a solo until 16? I read it somewhere online and wasn't sure!'
Thanks. I worry about doing stuff that could be deemed instructional, since I'm a low hours PPL, not at FI. However, I do need to practice some of the procedures, so watch this space.
Another good 'un Jon! Liked the insight into the world of work, hence why your videos are so good and presented so clearly👍🏻 I work in broadcasting too but need to work on my 'in front of camera' technique for my vids!! 😂😂🎥👍🏻
Another good video Jon. Nice to have your day job background... I finished mine a year ago after 38 years in education. Keep the videos coming and if you fancy a challenge come and visit us at Nayland and 'fly the hill!'
+The Flying Reporter If you have not seen it yet have a look at my video 'A matter of speed' and if you want to give it a go, I will be more than happy to talk you through it. 😊
+Jodel Flyer Thanks, I watched the video. I have difficulty sometimes landing on a flat runway...imagine how messy it will be trying to put it down on that hill!
I don't think you can go far wrong with any of them at Biggin Hill. I think two of the schools are very closely connected. I bought my course in one go, but I know many will warn you against doing that, in case the school goes under...which does happen.
Greetings from Malaysia! Flying PA28 myself. Currently doing my CPL training here and currently doing all the navigation sorties. I really love the iPad app you are using. Looks interesting. Is it a moving map or just another backup of your VFR map? Would love to fly in the UK next time. Been to Bournemouth and looked at Isle of Wight by the coast. It was wonderful. Safe flight for you.
Ah I see. Skydemon is a good app but too bad they don't cover South East Asia region & I think my examiners won't allow me to use them for my sorties. Looking forward for some nice videos from you. Safe flight always & many good landings to you.
+tomleakey Thanks. Will add that to the list. I don't normally use any processing. Only if the audio is a bit quiet or a distorted might i might use some compression or tweak it with a filter. I do use a physical impedance reduction adapter on the mic cable because the sound coming out of the headset jack is a bit loud.
+The Flying Reporter i fly out of there...according to the wife, I spend too much time there. They make a nice brew and it's a friendly field. Hope to see you there some day.
Working my way through your videos. Great work. I'm starting my ppl next summer at humberside. Your videos are great for my education.
Fantastically put together. Looking forward to the day I can fly solo. awesome
Lovely video. Great to see you avoiding bad weather!
+PA28Bon Thanks. Fly safe.
Love your videos. I recently completed my PPL and enjoying the cockpit on my own.
+MrPkirupai thanks. Congratulations.
Great video again!! It is weird to see the sea from a light a/c... With me flying over the Midlands!
Cheers George.
Really enjoyed this, I want to treck down to the south coast soon!
Thanks Ben. It's not so bad daan sowf

That sounds right. Best check with your instructor.
The Flying Reporter Okay thank you 👍🏻
@@166Rich Did you get your PPL?
Yet Another good vid! Would be good if you could do some training vids ie slow flight, simulated engine failure, would be good for the ppl students!
Thanks. I worry about doing stuff that could be deemed instructional, since I'm a low hours PPL, not at FI. However, I do need to practice some of the procedures, so watch this space.
+The Flying Reporter I totally understand! May be a flight to Clacton airfield would be interesting as it's quite short!
+Offshore Four 600m. LOL!
That would be good!
Great video very informative love the editing
It was a nice little trip.Thanks.

Thank you Daniel.
Have you thought of a flight to island of Alderney (ACI) ? Popular with light aircraft lovely island views
Yep. was planning to head down that way earlier this year, but the weather didn't work out for us. Next year?
great video! "cumulonimbus cloud formation over Southampton" - only quoting it because I live in Southampton...New York :)
Nice one!
Hi. im looking at doing my ppl. im poping down to biggen hill this weekend to have a chat. Any advise on schools in kent.

+charles franklin hi. Thanks for watching. I used the Skydemon app on my iPad. A really good vfr moving map/planning software.

Great video. There is something about flying on your own! If you ever drop into Headcorn, I will shout you a brew.
Thanks Colin. Do you work there? I very much enjoy flying to/from Headcorn.
+The Flying Reporter i fly out of there...according to the wife, I spend too much time there. They make a nice brew and it's a friendly field. Hope to see you there some day.
+Colin Roblin I did some training there. Agree...a great place.
