How about the bushing on the other end of the control arm? Does the wheel hub (or the part where the actual hub goes to, don't know what is it called in english) fit in the shop press?
Its bushings are almost eternal. I have changed sometimes, but very rarely. And to replace them, there is a kit with a fitting sleeve and a long screw with which you can do it.
