What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! The combo of abilities here seems a lot better even than past Gods. That's a really great design, and I like it! They're good on their own and yet have powerful ways to go together.

This god is amazing,it has it all,raw damage,attack speed,mana regen and escape with both ult and basic ability and a also buffs,what more could you ask for 10/10 High-Rez ,you nailed it !!!
They should make his mother's as a skin for Hachiman, that would be AWESOME. No breaking of the rules of only being deities since it is a skin and it could be nice since his mother was a samurai too.

Idk Hacimanmy favorite character and when it was my first time playing smite he was the newest god and I’ve purchased him Bc early on u get gems quickly and he was a great god but now I feel like he can’t compete with the other hunters nor other gods if I want to play competitive I’ll rather pick a different hunter then hachiman so I feel like hachiman should get a ability upgrade like
His 1 keep it the same but change it to 5 arrows
And his ultimate well give it a stun once it hits a enemy they are slow for 5 seconds and stun them for 2 seconds

Satan - God of Eternal Damnation, Michael - the Archangel, St. María - The Queen Mother, Daniel - the Lion Tamer, Jonah - the Whale Rider, Esther - Queen of Manipulation and Beauty, Deborah - the Judge Prophet, Moses - the Plague Caller, Judith - Protector of Bethulia (she assassinated an enemy general by decapitating him), Sampson, and David - The Giant Slayer.
But he isn't a god.
He basically gets Kumbs passive but it takes 3 days to respawn.
However, if your team happened to lose that game it retroactively changes it to a win once he respawns and you also win all your games for the next 700 years until Islam shows up, at which point the game turns into a Capture/Hold based game for Jerusalem set in the Crusades.

He seems to be a little op, maybe because he's a hunter but he seems to be a stable god so buffs may not be necessary. I guess we'll have to wait and see how he plays both in competitive and casual.

no other ability hits more than one creep in the wave without putting him at a disadvantage in terms of positioning, as for op or not I doubt it, most hunters are strong late game bc builds came online (I.e got crit and half of tb, better 3 shot a tank) and if he only fits in late game with 90% of hunters he'll be fine
anhur, AMC, xbal, and I think like 2 more are more annoying than this dude could be
All he needs IMO is shorter cooldowns, esp. on his 1. All that MP5 and nothing to use mana on seems like a waste - so far, from all the vids I saw on him, no one had mana shortages while playing him, not even early game.
He'll probably get projectile speed on his 1, and some minor quality of life tuning for his ult, 'cause it feels weird to use right now.
But other than that, he seems fairly balanced.

The funny thing is, people cried about Da Ji for being unoriginal and, seeing as she was a 4-week god, they encouraged Hirez to delay their gods so they could be creative one way or another.
Now, a delayed god comes and he's just as unoriginal as Da Ji is.
Yes, I'm talking about Hachiman. Like, *WHAT IS THIS?* The passive is incredibly boring (though arguably strong), the 1 is just Rama's 1 combined with the range Xba gets when he ults, the 2 is a mini Bellona ult, the 3 is Thoth's dash with Apollo's dash targeter and the ult is Guan Yu ult combined with Zhong for seeking projectiles you can't bodyblock.

Nice try, but Camazotz is more than just that. Line ability that reveals stealth + line ability that gives you a heal and a buff if you kill some jungle monsters + the ult that's 3 dashes into one.
Meanwhile, Da Ji has a generic "in the next attack you do increased damage + dot" 1, a channeled ability with a funny targeter and damage mitigation, a shitty Loki ult and an Ares ult that's wonkier + Anhur pillar + generic leap. ZZZZZZZ
Then we have Hachiman, who's as original as Da Ji is.

Artio's Bear 2 is literally Apollo's 2 but better because it stuns instead of mez.

FenrirTheDreadwolf Hachi's banner, imo, should have a wider area to receive the attack speed buff, but keep the original size for the damaging portion of the ability

If you try to look for comparisons ("herp derp the targeter looks the same") you're gonna find them, there's only so much shapes they can use for targeters. The abilities all do different things from the comparisons you've mentioned, and as a whole the kit functions _very_ differently from any other hunter, even the AA ones.
1- Has longer range than Rama, damage has falloff and shots don't pierce.
2- Applies AS buffs
3- Dash with skillshot stun
4- Does a lot of different things; features aiming independent of movement and guaranteed damage+slow on all targets
