    When I read about the lady who was denied boarding due to not knowing about the 24th week of pregnancy limit, I immediately called BS. When you check in online, it specifically asks if anyone in your party is pregnant and will be at 24 weeks or more. Not to mention all the emails that are sent out prior to the cruise also stating this. Oh, and as your 2nd point mentioned about port security being armed, this lady and her party were escorted away by port security who, not surprisingly, were armed.

    • @frickfrack7075
      @frickfrack7075 ปีที่แล้ว

      Called bs? I'm confused on what is bs. The story? Because it would have to exist to have port security escort her off, plus she said they were armed, and you acknowledge that. So what is bs?

    • @jodiehaskell5689
      @jodiehaskell5689 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@frickfrack7075 The BS was the lady saying she wasn't informed about not being allowed to sail at 24 weeks or more. It's mentioned in almost every email you would receive after reserving the cruise, and it's a question you have to answer when doing the Online Check-In that begins 30 days before your cruise sails.

    • @frickfrack7075
      @frickfrack7075 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jodiehaskell5689 ok but if someone else made those reservations and handled everything else, then that would be on that person to push on the info, not that pregnant one. So the bs part doesn't really make sense.

      They made their money off of their video. Their video about it, which unsurprisingly is private now since they caught so much pushback from the public, was posted on news sites around the world, driving views and making money for them for a while. When I saw the video it felt like a stunt gone wrong. She didn't look surprised at all when she was told she wouldn't be allowed to cruise, and ultimately it was on her to know the rules. She's an adult. So yeah, I agree with the BS call.
      Apparently the reason security was called is because one of the men in their party was getting very loud and threatening when it was taking a while to find their luggage in the huge bins that hold thousands of suitcases. The proverbial needle in a haystack. At that point Miami-Dade officers were called to remove them from the premises. Officers aren't going to lock away their issued weapons just to make somebody feel better.

    I traveled on the Fantasy when I was 19. They have activities for guests who are at least 18 and too old for Vibe, but still under 21 and can’t drink. Two days into the cruise, two young men attended one of our “1820 Society” gatherings and said that they had been hanging out in Vibe since the cruise started, unaware that 1820 Society was a thing, and also unaware that 18 is too old for Vibe. Given the security in Vibe on the Dream class, I still don’t understand how they were able to even get in for those first two days before the staff had a word with them about their ages.

      My wife & I am on the inaugural cruise to Sydney from Honolulu. 3rd time on the Wonder. Might sneak in another Disney cruise before then. Luckily we are US & Australian citizens, so the Hawaii to Australia trip is coming home.
      When we arrive in Sydney, once we are off the ship, it is only an hour or so by train & we are home.

    4. Totally worth paying a hundred or two on a cheap hotel to guarantee you don't miss your cruise!
    5. I'd only recommend swimming when you're in port! It's usually way less busy because many people are off the ship. And it doesn't hurt to have someone run upstairs to check the pools and slide waitime before you get the kids too excited lol so don't lose hope on sea days
    Bonus tip: DO NOT order the "beignets." They are disgusting and taste more like a hawaiian roll than a donut. I feel bad for people who have never had a real beignet lol

      We don't even stay in Orlando anymore the night before, because if there's an accident on the Beachline headed toward the Port traffic **will** stop, and there is no way around it. We've seen traffic backed up for 30 miles before because of an accident headed westbound on the Beachline.

    My last night of 1 of my Disney Cruises. A fight broke out in Animators Palette. A guy was walking by a lady as she was sitting down.... he kicked the chair out from underneath her. Her husband got up started throwing punches. A guy at another nearby table happen to be a large man and a bouncer.... he helped brake up the fight. Since it was during dessert (2nd seating) at the last night of the cruise. We never saw any of them again. Also never heard what happened. The security was their fairly quick. Ask a few tables what they saw. Apologized for what happened. The bouncer guy did not get in trouble that I know of. No one told him to leave or anything. I did see him in the morning for breakfast.
    Please do not fight on any of the ships. You might be angry.... you can even be in the 100% right to be angry at the other person. Do not ruin others experience on the ship. Especially if they had nothing to do with your anger or frustration of what happened to you.
    I would say goto guest services and file a complaint with the staff. Better way to handle most situations.
