0:29 notice how he only took about one heart of damage from lava. His armor, which I presume is full diamond, protects him from the lava. He could have just stepped back onto the platform and survived and would have been perfectly fine.
I remember when i was playing minecraft and I had Protection enchants on my diamond Armour and and fell in lava, styrd in for like 9 seconds and only lost 5 hearts
