I would have called it a wastage of diamonds if they had fallen into lava or something but helmets are something that he'll definitely need in the future. Then, he wouldn't have to spend diamonds on making helmets. So it eventually is the same
Ankit Saha but he doesn’t need them now, so he wasted it. If I need one book, why buy ten of the same one? It takes a long time for a diamond helmet to break, so now he has to mine more diamonds for his other armour. And it’s not a definitely that he will need a lot diamonds helmets, he could get mending and more enchantments, so yes he wasted it. Diamonds are hard to find and he makes so many of the same kind instead of pick axes or swords or for an enchantment table.
