What a great review! I am also between this and the Vala. The Vala motor is definitely smooth but not that big of a difference. Maybe you will hear it on very rocky terrain. I tend to like this more as you can switch wheel sizes in the rear. The Vala is only a Mullet. I tend to want a all 29 bike. I am not buying a ebike to necessarily go fast down the hill. The ORBEA Wild might also be a great choice.
I’m between this and the Vala. I really like the idea of the Vala with the new quieter motor, but I hear the pivot ride quality is exceptional and I like the higher output motor(besides the Bosch rattle).
I had a chance to pedal the Vala and the new LT with the race motor. The “old” motor is still quieter than the latest updated motor in the Vala. I get zero rattle even on the chunkiest and fastest DH. I’m a huge fan of Santa Cruz, but I went with the Shuttle.
@ actually I just rode the Vala on the street. The motor is quite noisy climbing. Zero rattle or anything going down some stairs and stuff but loud going up.
@@mikes.8305 Exactly. Much more of a motor whine. The Vala is still an awesome bike tho, don’t get me wrong. The race motor, I’ve noticed ZERO rattle on the downs, and it’s quieter on the ups.
Then you don’t understand what e-bikes are about. You get the same workout, you just go further, a bit faster in the same amount of time and have more fun.
@@1972adrianm how do you get the same workout when the electric motor is doing all the work? An e-bike is a motorcycle that is battery powered. You sit on it and press the go button. The only exercise you get is holding onto the handle bars.
Your team does great reviews
Thanks for the kind words! We like to think so. :)

@@ChaseAdams-f4h I have a Vala coming with a discount so I’m going to give it a go, but this bike will haunt me.
The Shuttle LT is the one. Makes this one looks cute.
I got the RIDE build a couple of months ago for $6500.
How are you liking it?
What will be the black Friday sale price? $3200?
If it gets to that price we might buy 3!
Wow, only $13,000. I think I'll buy two.
It is firmly in the premium price tier, that's for sure :)
It is a premium bike. There are plenty of cheaper options if that is what you are looking for.
While you’re at it get me one bro. I’ll buy you a coffee 😅.
Ya, even reviewing something like this isn't really useful IMHO.
I ride my mountain bike because I need the exercise. E-bikes just don't appeal to me for that reason.
