This version of the AM wasn’t available when I bought my LT. Preferably, I don’t pay much attention to the debate of which motors is better. I’m looking what feels good to my riding style and I’m very happy with the LT. I’m been bombing down hiking trails with a hardtail way before front suspension became a thing, so just adding any motor, woo-yeah! That said, coming from my background, I like the natural feel of the Shimano motor. No regrets
I have both and prefer the LT is every scenario for anyone who cares. Bosch is technically better in certain power categories but its a much smaller gap between the two than the internet leads you to believe.
Right on! Thanks for sharing and as you saw here, Drew still would pick the LT without much hesitation, but we do realize not all riders need or want big travel enduro rig, and if that's the case, the AM is a cool option.
Agreed when choosing between the LT and AM, but I actually prefer the SL ... I mostly ride bike parks and use my enduro (Mach 6) and when I'm riding my local trails, I was getting bored so got on the e-bike train. I really wanted a lighter bike and especially compared to the DH I usually ride, it's not very challenging and I don't go on long rides. The SL is perfect for that, and despite the spec sheet, it could actually rip and there isn't much I can't handle. But yeah, to your point, there's really no choice IMO between the LT and AM
Chunky and tech all day long, both up and down, on my 190mm Pole Voima with Bosch CX. Hell ya. You're buying an ebike, so why not have all the power and travel?
how's the shuttle AM comparing to the SC heckler SL? which one has better DH performance and confidence inspiring in your opinion ? I like the heckler SL and it looks like it's a pretty capable bike from some other reviews out there, I did watch yours, it seems pretty decent to you other than some "stiffness issue". for the shuttle AM, I just think it has better motor lol ( and I'm not talking about power, I mean better by reliability and general feeling, from what I read at least)
Hey thanks for writing in. The Shuttle AM has better DH performance in our opinion. The Shuttle SL is super fun, but the Pivot is a bit more stable, planted and has a slightly smoother suspension feel that we appreciate on rough and chunky DH trails.
Hey Mike, they were both 175mm droppers. You can add a 200mm dropper to the larges, but there may be some limitations. According to Pivot's tech specs, a 200mm dropper will bottom out inside the seat tube of a large frame than at the collar. This results in a low seat post height of 679mm versus 644mm with the 175mm dropper and a max saddle height 811mm verse 806mm.
@TheLoamWolf have you noticed any "saddle buzz" on big hits? Recently got my Shuttle LT (love it so far) but did run into an issue of buzzing the seat on the rear tire if the seat post is too low. Wondering if thats something you guys ran into as well?
Slightly, but we'd say the Shimano rattles a little bit more, to be honest, on our terrain, we hardly ever hear it, but it does seem to bother some people quite a bit. Perhaps there is a pitch that's not quite as steep or fast on the descents where it makes it louder than the wind and tire noise we hear more prevalently than the rattle?
Would be cool to see an update to this with the new LT vs AM
I took the Shuttle AM two months ago ... and I'm thrilled with it, greetings from Italy 😊
Great to hear!

I'd go LT regardless. You made a good choice for your riding style.
The Shuttle LT with the Bosch motor...and mullet!
coming out in about 6 days I believe
Its here
Cool video review I’d go with the pivot AM Bosch personally for my style of riding but you can’t go wrong with either of these bikes in my opinion
Fair enough!

Super good review as I own an LT and just love it
Great to hear! Glad you like it as much as we do
Im riding steep chunky, rocky intense trails in socal so for me long travel with Bosh motor all day long!
The long travel doesn’t have the bosch motor….
@@nathanshipman4900 Gotta go for orbea wild, canyon strive...

Very nice review, guys!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I live in Colorado, where trails are rocky and climbs are steep and long. For me, long travel Bosch powered bikes rule, with mullet set up!
Thanks for sharing!
What’s your favorite?
This needs to be done again with the new Shimano 801 to see if the motor makes the LT climb better?
Stand by!!

2024 LT with Bosch :)
Haha we wouldn't be bummed!
Just like Orbea Wild…..
I got the Shuttle AM last week and love it! I'm coming from a mid-power bike with less travel. For 90% of my rides the AM is the perfect bike
That's awesome to hear and congrats on the new ride! Happy to hear you like it.
What was the length droppers in both bikes and could you easily go longer? They looked very in the way for my 6’ height will short legs.

That’s great info! Thanks for the response. I have a buddy looking at the LT.

Any chance you guys can redo this review with the new lt please.
We’ll be doing some reviews with it for sure.
Do both motors rattle on descents (junky terrain, roots etc)? Thx

I ride Commencal Meta power SX with Bosh and it is completely silent, all you can hear is tires. So I assume Pivot with Bosh is quite too
Love the AM but the price is too high.
