from saigon go north then turn right 20 minutes then right again after vung tau 12 - 15 minutes you land in con dao
I think you got all five of Vietnam Airline's ATR-72s on camera!
I’ve been on this plane once, on a trip to Phu Quoc Island many years ago. But I departed from Can Tho city to the south of Sai Gon. It was a wonderful trip although the plane was old. Definitely going back to Vietnam next Friday :D

I already did, spent a wonderful 5 weeks there back in 2014, I did the trek from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi on the trains. A great experience.

con dao is super famous in vietnam , cause it used at a jail by french / south vietnam regime who treat prisoner worst then how japanese treat prisoner of war in ww2 , many die on the island , if you wonder what is hell look like just visit con dao jail .

Do you arrange with airlines ahead of time that you're going to be doing a video? I often film my flights but I'd be very nervous filming my boarding or filming the cabin crew!
well in vietnam the cabin crew are not dick like american crew when geting film so you dont need permission lol , we vietnamese are not overly correct politic people like american now day

What is the background music?
I rarely see VASCO flight report. Not many flights in Vietnam and the service is little due to short flights. Anyway, hope you enjoy Con Dao and Six Sense. Next time you should try visiting Phu Quoc, another fantastic island in Vietnam. :P

There are so many gorgeous islands around Vietnam. Was the flight pleasant? I'm a bit hesitant with taking planes such as this because of their poor safety record.
Vietnam Airlines has a great safety record. The flight was ok.

When we flew to Hanoi we got there 1 week before British Citizens had to fill out a visa. We got really lucky with the line since it is always full. Did you have the same experience or no?
We got our visa in 5 minutes ;). There was no line at all

con dao used to be french prison where they jail vietnamese and many vietnamese die on that island , later the south vietnam regime used it to jail anyone that are againt them ( communist , nationalist or who ever dislike they regime ) many where kill / die on those island cause both the french / south vietnam regime ( american puppet ) treat the prison there worst then how japan treat allied prisoner in ww2

I'd like to go Con Dao but I like Da Nang best. It's have a beautiful beach, some mountain and some luxury hotel(though I had to stay in 3-star hotel). It's maybe good for you.

No at all
It's one-hour-flight so there is no meal but one bottle of water is served

Vietnam Airlines is a four star airline with a lot of moderrn plane: B787, B777, A321, A320 and so on
Because this is the short flight so the plane must suitable, you cannot use the big or the most modern because the passengers are not very many. do you understand? I think you should watch Yêu Máy Bay (this is a channel about planes of my country) you can see the best service of Vietnam about our national airline

I just took my gf to the Hilton Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, FL USA. I used my Chase points to book for free...the room was $500/night if paying cash.. We just stayed for 2 nights. I LOVE your videos! Especially the Maldives! I've visited your site and maybe you can do a video on how to get the most miles for flying using credit cards or do you pay for most of them out of pocket? Thanks!

well vietnam airlines used to have ATR 72 fleet flying on short trip like da nang to buon me thuot some time da nang to buon me thuot to saigon too but they stop , cause they transfer the ATR to vasco ( vietnam airlines baby airlines that fly to small island / short trip )

When I first went to the island the only way to get there was by fishing boat or Russian helicopter. I chose the latter. It was a great experience. Now I am curious to se what you will be reviewing there. I am guessing it will be the Six Senses facility...

not new + short fly so they didnt over hault the fleet + sooner or later vietnam airlines gona tranfer small plane to it smaller company vasco to do this short fly
