I got a quick question for you sir if you don't mind. I have the C24 which is 1/16 scale and I am contemplating on getting the MN-99 which is 1/12 scale. From looking at a lot of comparison videos on youtube including yours between the two cars, I have to ask if the MN-99 is significantly larger in person than the C24-1? Reason I'm asking is because I'm starting a collection based on 1/16 - 1/14 (which also have), but I can't pass up on a good deal on the MN-99s and at the same time I don't want it to look too out of scale from the C24 and my other 1/14 trucks. Much obliged sir!
@@JDLightnin Thank you for the fast reply. After a fairly good amount of searching I also came across the MN96 which is like a military version of the Defender 90 complete with roll bars, accessories and a working pintle hook mount hitch. If I find one cheap enough I might go for it and modify it and take off some of the accessories to convert it to a civilian version. You've probably seen it but if you haven't here it is. It's basically the same chassis and body without the cab in the back. Thanks again for getting back to me. th-cam.com/video/j4Uszl9rxbo/w-d-xo.html
It's fairly straight forward if you have some experience with RC. Getting the MN light kit to work with the WPL electronics requires some effort but if all you want is headlights that's easy. I have more videos of this setup on my channel and the wiring diagram is in the comments of one of the videos. Good luck
Not sure which shaft that you are referring to. The drive shafts that are on my MN99s are actually RBR/C and it took some modification to make the pinion gears fit properly
Awesome! I recently ordered this truck. Should arrive by June 1st. I'm looking forward to upgrading it as well.
Really fun little rig after upgrades
Wow! It looks like the upgrades have yielded very good performance.
Nice track.... Alsomn99s are pretty good looking and performance 🥰🥰 love from Malaysia

Great..thabk for the video🙏👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing
Whats the wheel base and tire diameter of this RC?
Thanks.
How do you go about connecting the 6-pin connector from a stock MN99s LED setup to the 4 pairs of JST PH connectors for the LEDs on this board?
The + is the common, I posted a schematic on here as a response to a similar question on one of my videos about this truck
Where is the schematic?
Wow nice rc....👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How to attach a rear bumper for the hitch on the Mn99s

They aren’t that far off, in fact some parts are interchangeable. The MN99 is a fun and capable little rig especially after a few upgrades 😁

Awesome
👍👍👍👍👍
Hi, can I share this video on the MN99 Facebook page, thank you Stephen.
I don't see why not
Do the wpl parts fit on I had a set of axels that were millimetres of fitting
@@AjAj-jv3xx I believe that they are narrower
@@JDLightnin on Amazon I brought a full metal suspension and link set but they don’t fit should I try the wpl
@@AjAj-jv3xx
The WPL C24 links and mounts are completely different from the MN
@@AjAj-jv3xx
I personally prefer the plastic links on the smaller trucks
@@JDLightnin yh I have the mn links and they don’t fit so I’m gonna get the wpl
I got mn99, yesterday i ordered wpl v3 petrol sound.. is it easy to install or? Cheers

What is that winch called?
It's a WPL winch
No wheel weights🤔
yes it has the WPL wheel weights, had to sand the wheels and press on with channel locks. Truck has been upgraded even more now
