I have a 4-108. The oil pump is on a hose that I can pull out into the cabin while pumping into a container. Also find yourself a silicone container used in cooking to place under the oil filter to catch the oil that escapes when removing the filter. It’s recommended to pre fill the filter before placing it on the bracket, but it’s not really necessary. When you start the engine after the change, advance the throttle about half way. Start the engine and it only takes the a second or two for the oil pressure gauge to respond. Also you should put a quart of Lucas oil in with every change. According to the manual the engine takes 4.7 quarts after an oil change, so adding 4 quarts of oil and a quart of Lucas oil fills it slightly more. But doesn’t hurt the engine.

The oil pump on my engine is not on a hose. The last owner rebuilt the engine so he may have changed it. Thanks for watching.
