I was looking to see how the nittos 285 70 17 would look on my 4runner seeing how I just ordered a set, so was watching your video and first off, your runner looks really good. I have the same 4th gen color and all just mine is 4x4, and second it's crazy you where driving to wilmington nc because that's where I live. Small world, awesome.
Hey love watching your channel alot every day u are awesome TH-camr and keep making awesome videos on your channel say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon u and your wife and the family have a safe holiday and merry Christmas to my family to your family 😀🎁🌲
Does a 285 fit in the spare wheel location? I was also debating a level kit vs suspension lift. I dont do any real off roading but would not mind just a few more inches clearance.
I have a set of 275 70 toyo mts Putting them side by side to the front tire they look like they will be a super tight fit. Is a lift necessary? Or can I get away with putting them on stock. I don’t want to go to the tire shop to get them mounted and stuff only for them to run like hell when they’re on
I think that a leveling kit will be necessary and you’ll probably still have to cut the cheap plastic inner fender some. Toyo MTs would look great though
No rubbing once I cut the wheel well plastic liner. This setup has been doing great. No spacers but I do think the car had a small leveling kit installed already
@@GRAPPAHOLICS cool ! I hope I get as lucky as you with minor fender cutting. I have a leveling kit on mine as well. 1 inch spacer in front . Gives about 2 inches of lift .
That was it! Figured it out eventually but thanks for letting me know. I appreciate you watching! Checkout my project truck 6.7 swap playlists if you get a chance
It was leveled when I bought it and I didn’t even realize it at first. I think it is just a 1.5in strut spacer. It doesn’t have a brand name on it or anything
Like Eric O says "first try"! Keep the vids coming!
Thank you!

I love the vids keep them up
Thanks so much! I will definitely try
Looks good man welcome home ! Need one of them stickers haha
Much appreciated! I should be selling them on my website soon once I get it up and running after this trip hopefully
Looks good man!
Thanks a lot! She’s happy so I can keep building my crazy truck in the back yard
So 33’s won’t fit a stock 4Runner
Love the grap queen license plate
Thank you! Planning on having GRAPKING on my project truck once it’s done like I had on my King Ranch

Some tps system say what the pressure is. But when it gets colder it's always good to go2or3 over on the pressure
I’m hoping I just need to reset it. We will see
Check the spare for a TP sensor. I drove myself crazy with that warning light until I realized my 04 4runner had a TP in the spare.
That’s what it was! Aired it up and it’s been off since
I am about to check my spare now!! Thank you!!!
The spare tire has a TPMS senser too. Make sure the spare tire has the proper air pressure in it.
That’s what I’ve heard. I’ll let y’all know if that does the trick
I always love the look of big tires on factory wheels, that is what I always do. Aftermarket wheels just don’t look that good to me.
Agreed! I hate the black wheels on my Silverado. I think stock is the way to go
Merry Christmas everyone ☃️🎄
Merry Christmas!
Remember your spare has one in it too also i thought ours recommended 38lbs.....take the steps off makes look taller also lol
You’re right! The light turned out to be on because the spare was low!
Does a 285 fit in the spare wheel location? I was also debating a level kit vs suspension lift. I dont do any real off roading but would not mind just a few more inches clearance.
I don’t believe the 285 will fit in the stock spare location and if you can afford a lift it’s usually a better option than a leveling kit
Geez I’m from wilmy stationed in fort drum now

Need your eyeballs calibrated shipmate. Probably would have never noticed that contact point if I didn’t bring it up
Still would have fit the same either way
@@GRAPPAHOLICS anything can fit. It a matter of turning and preserving the life of the tire
@@shaynelodivero9926 I got lucky man it was super close
Some clear headlights would really set it off. Nice vid again merry christmas
Yeah they would! Thanks for watching, merry Christmas man
How is your setup holding up ? Are the tires rubbing? Did you have to chop body mount ? Running wheel spacers ?

What’s the step bar?
So I ordered 285/70-17 and I don’t have any lift on my 05. Do you have any wear marks on your tires from the upper control arms?
I haven’t seen any yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if we did have some wear marks. Nothing crazy yet though
How did they hold up?
@@User-hj6vx Great! No issues yet
Check your spare tire pressure. Had someone tell me thats why my light is still on

Good thing you can surprise your wife with those big ass tires.
She’s still loving them. Nice and quiet
And see if the mechanics would wear a GoPro body mount for you since you’re already all up in their space
They are my friends now
@@GRAPPAHOLICS 😂😂😂
So if I’m leveling 2 inch and want no rubbing should I so 32”s? To play it safe
I would say yes. We don’t mind the little trimming of plastic we had to do though for these
It always blows my mind when people put ATs ot MTs on 2wd cars
A 2wd with good tires will out perform a 4x4 with poor tires.
@@thomasmulligan9253 ya so get a 4wd with good tires if you plan to go offroad.
@@Tprox of course that’s the best option but there’s still value in good AT tires on 2wd truck.
285/65/r16?? 4ta gen
Ain’t nothing stock about a leveling kit brother
That’s debatable honestly. It’s not even enough to level it out
@@GRAPPAHOLICS do you think without the 2" spacer/leveling kit it would've rubbed?
@@angeljuarez7784 it would rub more but it’s been working great with this setup after I trimmed the plastic in the wheel well
Check the spare Toyota’s put a sensor in the full size spare that ones probably dead.
I’ll check that out and let y’all know!
I'd like to get at least two stickers
Much appreciated! I should have them for sale on my new website once it’s done sometime after the holidays. I’ll keep y’all updated
Did you have to add a suspension kit to it Inorder to make the 285s fit?
In the video he said he thinks the vehicle came with a 2” leveling kit.
285/70/17 Won’t work without mods ime…
Are your stock wheels 17x7? Thanks
I believe they are 17x7.5 but they could be x7 in not 100% sure
There is a reset button at the bottom of the dash for the tpms
I looked for it while I was there but didn’t find one. I’ll take another look when I get a chance. Thank you
Hi. So, car does have leveling kit, right?
It appears to have something small like a 1 or 1.5in coil spacer but it could be the factory mount. I’m still not sure
@@GRAPPAHOLICS ok. Thank you. I want to do the same as you did. Hopefully leveling kit will do the trick.
@@vlad66xc Good luck! We love this setup
Whats your leveling setup?
It was leveled when I bought it and I didn’t even realize it at first. I think it is just a 1.5in strut spacer. It doesn’t have a brand name on it or anything
Is this stock height? Or how many inch lift is this
I thought it was stock height but it may have a 2in leveling kit.
Is there a lift in the rear too
I don’t believe so
Wife said she needs a lift kit and a brush guard!!!
We’d probably do more too it if we went going to do so many road trips with it. Probably gonna through some money into the Bronco soon hopefully
Heck yea brother!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friend!!!
@@00nutt Merry Christmas!
Might be your spare that’s low
It’s sure was!
Spacers!!!!! duh!
It’s been working out great with this setup, I considered spacers but never put any on
32.7 not 33s
