    People who live in first world countries think the criminals in Norway are the same type of criminals in third world countries. That is simply not the case. I live in Brazil and I can tell you, some criminals take pride in being evil, they built an identity with crime, they crave the status of a gang leader, they take pleasure in being a wanted criminal. Their gangs are like family to them and crime is their profession. They are fundamentally different...

    • @cadenceew7933
      @cadenceew7933 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      They might be culturally different, but we generally tend to function under the same pressures as humans. Unless you can provide some evidence for inherent differences, I highly doubt it. The systematic approach might need tweaking, but they are human beings all the same. I think tough decisions have to be made regarding the unique issues facing the country, but I hope this mostly reactionary policy leads to some actual fundamental change.
      Do you keep them locked up forever or do you wait and hope they come out of jail as completely changed people? Recidivism is an important determinant.

    This man is my hero. xQc actually spat facts about that woman wrongly comparing Norway criminality with El Salvador's. They don't have the same type of criminality ( extremely influencial cartels who have 0 morals ) or government budgets ( go check out the GDP per capita in Norway and see what is it for Bukele's country ). This forensic specialist might have a degree but she's severely lacking in applying the correct context.

Goes into detail of El Salvadore and the lead up to this, how the two largest cartels actually made a truce on violence that immediately made a significant decrease in Homicides, but fell apart after the Government tried to dismantle them during it and re-igniting conflict.

    in France the prisons haven't been renovated from since the 70s and they are at 200% full capacity, I'm not joking. BUT right now the prisoners have tv, game consoles, smuggled in phones, uber thrown in from over the walls food (not even joking). Last year there was a scandal because they had a kart and pool party event at a jail. Last month a bunch of high risk prisoners (murder/rape) were led in a visit and picnic at the Versailles palace. Two weeks ago a gang leader got rescued from z prison transfer van and 2 guards were killed, like el chapo.... The guards were in a unarmored delivery style van with just pistols. I just wish we had "terrible" prisons like el Salvador.

    If El Salvador had the money for these rehabilitation programs for every single criminal like Norway, there wouldn't be so many violent criminals in the first place because everyone would be living happy lives in well-off families instead of hustling on the streets as orphans.

    The discussion with norway prisons and the cartel is so fucking brainrot. People can talk about how much nicer it is until its time for thousands of prisoners and a sociatal change to occur. What's happening in salvador is a response and not a provocation for more violence. Many of these people didn't get raised in a proper household with a proper community. So you have to TEACH them what happens when you don't act civil.
    The next step is rehabilitation but you have to start with the punishment. People need to be stopped or it will send the message its okay to keep doing it.
