There was a group of British doctors who signed a petition for their government to stop sending weapons to Israel. It was on the BBC. Their leader was a young English doctor who spoke to the BBC and their was so much anger and frustration on his face. I wish they would go further and start a walkout until the Starmer government listens to them.
Those HCWs in Gaza are heroes. As a medical doctor myself I have the experience of what it is like just to do only parts of this for 12 hours a day, 5 days in a row. I went through the pandemic as head of a COVID-ward and I am still traumatized. But I can‘t even imagine what it is like for them.

What a powerful podcast. I balled my eyes out at the story of the little girl asking if this is heaven. And the idea of someone having limbs amputated without anaesthesia is unfathomable.
