- This week we take a little trip to the old stomping grounds where we resided until “Moving from the City to the Country”. We kept the place as a fallback if things didn’t work out but with long time renters moving out, we can get in there and spruce the place up. We re-do the wood floor, replace a window, re-coat the roof and repair the ceiling along with reminiscing. Garen and Ellie are back at organizing. This time the car tunnel. Favorite moment: Azalea stretching in Grandpa's arms! Not sure about the stain but the yellow tone needed to go. Enjoyed the trip to the rental property and the story about the eyebrow stitches.

Lil Azalea is so darn sweet, her stretching in grandpa’s arms was precious. I love this family and their values.
Baby Azalea is soooo precious!!! I'm almost mortgage free, but my house is falling apart. You guys give me hope that I can gradually tackle all the projects around here without breaking the bank or harming mother earth! Love you guys!! God bless!!

We are debt free. It's the way to go. A lot of our friends live in fancier houses but I wouldn't trade. I wish real work went as quickly as the speeded up sections.
Ellie has always been beautiful but she is even more beautiful as a mother. Motherhood suits Ellie well.
wow considering how long your renters lived there they left the house in really clean condition. lucky. just "age" work. something all houses have.
You can tell how well the kids were raised and how happy their environment was. They are definitely little mini me's of theirand that should make the parents feel very proud because they were so influential and teaching them to be the young beautiful adults that they are becoming the great parents that they will be to their children...it's so great that they're so close even at their ages how they pull together to help each other and how they help their parents as well... Wonderful blessings this family is and I love watching the videos. Please keep them coming because I think more families need to see these types of videos... I'm hoping the stain will change back to the natural oak color when it dries because that stain as it is now is pretty awful, just saying. Grandpa holding Azalia was the highlight of the video. Oh, and those cheese burgers looked incredible especially with the sprouted bread! Made me hungry.

Ok, I got my Angelic BakeHouse delivery this morning. I ordered late on Friday and it said it would be delivered within 5 business days and was delivered on Weds, so this is the 3rd business day. Fast Shipping! Love that! My daughter told me that the sprouted grains would be dry when baked, and they are that. Not unbearably dry though, so that's good. I got a low salt loaf, a regular whole grain loaf, raisin wheat bread, and 4 different kind of wraps. Ordering it online isn't any more than getting it in a store because at $30, you get free shipping (otherwise shipping is like $7.99). I immediately had to try the raisin wheat bread because I am a sugar-fiend (working on that, lol) It is sweetened with agave syrup, prune juice and molasses. No sugar! I REALLY like it!

When you make those road trips to the city it's like going home. I know every mile of it by heart from your area to the city.

She is so beautiful, I think she looks a lot like mommy but that could change and I could be wrong because I never seen baby pictures of mommy and daddy. With regards to your sandpaper question, according to thespruce.com, sandpaper grit is "The number scale refers to the number of holes per square inch in the screens that are used when sieving the abrasive grains during the sandpaper's manufacture. For example, in 60-grit sandpaper, the abrasive particles used in the paper were sieved through a screen that had 60 holes per square inch." Now we all know :)
Loved the "old" house and garden/ground. An extra floor on top of the existing house would be IDEAL.

The floor looked great until they stained it. Now it looks dull and white-ish. Hmmm...maybe the camera didn't do it justice.

I'm mortgage free but my place is in need of major repairs. It never ends! Great to see Grandpa and Azalea both healthy and doing well. Thanks for the link to sprouted bread. I gave up bread altogether several years ago because of digestive issues. I might just give it a try.

I agree and stain is not going to "protect" the wood either.
It is your space, but Im also not a fan, I was expecting it to dry back to the honey colour.
I'm glad I'm not the only one...a clear varnish would have been easier and better in my opinion, but its still nice to see a family working together!

@precognative maiden It's an OAK wood floor, has lovely natural colours usually you white wash cheap wood so I'm not a fan personally. If they like it then that's fine.

I think that that little house is adorable… One day my husband and I hope to own a little piece of land. Don’t see it happening because we’re both on Social Security disability and currently live in our 1984 Chevy lazy Daisy motorhome with our five dogs. We do a lot of Boondocking and have a membership to a campground network... but who knows.
Baby Azalea is so adorable! I like the fact that even though Garen and Ellie didn’t give away her name we site in the projects built for her room. She’s going to be an awesome my little homesteader!!!
