Thank you! Definitely going to hit up this location. Whew! ❤
@TheCoCoMartha my pleasure… I’m looking to find a few more nice ones and keep everyone updated. Thanks for watching ❤️
I personally would have done this in Bergen or Morris. Hunterdon may be wealthy but they are country people LOL. We are flashier up here.
I see!🤣 It was definitely fun to see the results. Oh Bergen and Morris counties are on the list for a visit. Thank you for watching ❤️
It would be so helpful if you could provide the names of the stores you are visiting. You flashed the name of the second one on the screen so fast that I couldn’t even read it - and I tried a few times. Thanks!
Agreed….and Somerset County near where it borders Mercer (Princeton) ….another very wealthy area!
@@jenberkley9623my apologies, I will make sure I take my time going forward. I did pin the second store in the comments. Thanks for watching ❤
@@PTT-w1mI haven’t thrifted near Princeton in years, let me add that to my list lol. Thanks for watching ❤
That sash belt on the inside of the fur coat is for cinching the coat closer to the wearers body. Prevalent in vintage coats, it’s a sign of quality. Gives you a nice silhouette ⭐️
Thanks for the tip! I will keep my eye out for those sashes in the future!
@ You looked great in that coat!
@@samanthab1923 thank you, I regret not getting it already 😩

There’s old money in hunterdon, active adults. They don’t care about labels when they have generational money. Try Bergen county next that’s new money they flashy lol

Hi Tracy. I'm transitioning my closet to all wool, cashmere, linen, silk and cotton too. New subby
@@shannonbradley4699 Thank you so much for subscribing! That's awesome that you're transitioning to natural fabrics too-it's such a great way to be more mindful about our environment and allows us to shop with more intention. I hope I can encourage you along the way. Thank you for watching ❤️
@@tracyldays You have great taste :)
Plus...I'm from NJ. It's a ride but I would love to go to those stores you went to. I have been buying a lot off eBay and Poshmark but I think it would be fun to try new things on in person. I'm currently on the hunt for silk tops.
@@shannonbradley4699 thank you! I’ve shopped on Poshmark as well, especially if I’m looking for specific items
The silver pin you thought was a broach is a kilt pin from the 70's or '80's. I wore them then. They keep the kilts closed.
Yes, I definitely know now, I will still wear as a brooch. Thanks for watching ❤️
I used to manage a high end consignment shop in Princeton. I used to have clients just give me stuff. We had Chanel, Prada, St. John etc. My favorite treasures are the accessories. I snagged Hermes scarves and Gucci and Ferragamo belts. I bought my first fur coat from there.
Wow! That was very generous of them. I use to shop at Green Street in Princeton years ago. I need to go and check them out. Thanks for watching ❤️
@tracyldays The shop I used to manage was the Princeton Consignment Boutique. Sadly the owner decided to move away so we closed down years ago. I also love Green Street and they're prices are great.
@ was that boutique on the second floor of a building and you had to walk up stairs?
@tracyldays No this one was up 206 in the shopping center across from ShopRite. There is a formals boutique called Kiki Dees there now
@ oh ok, I remember going to one downtown Princeton on the second floor when the did their paper bag sale….
Fun shopping video! I live very near to 'The Bargain Box' (Harting/ Basking Ridge/Morristown) It benefits the womens hospital - I have seen Hermes, Chanel, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Burberry (saw a mens raincoat and almost fainted - but it was an extra tall so I passed) lots of Ferrigamo( spelling?) Ralph Lauren, and fine fabrics like silk, cashmere and leather, good handbags and great shoes if you get lucky (Stewart Weitzman and many more) a good home section ( I found Matuok linens - a sheet can retail $700 and they were $50 mint condition!) as well with lots of luxury brands many items brand new -SO many evening gowns and mother of the bride designer dresses - they do specific designers depending on the month - I remember a J.Jill sale that boasted 3 full racks!
woman around here clean out closets and bring it to donate - I have bought some beautiful items! I highly recommend! if you go, message me and I will meet you there! I am always up for a thrift haul! and you feel good because the money is going to women in need :)
Thank you! I will definitely add them to the list! I love a good luxury piece. Shopping while supporting nonprofits is my passion. ❤️
Just discovered your channel. I've got a closet of nice pieces, but I need to know how to style them. I'm getting so much inspiration from you. My husband passed in 2022 and I want to get out more.

I came across your video today and found it interesting, you bought very good quality pieces and the price was brilliant too. I’m looking for quality fibre clothes too. I have found loads designer clothes and coats similar to your one, when I go charity shopping in London. Would love to see more videos like this. I hope your channel grows. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! Yes, my goal is to find quality items that will last for years. I would love to go to London to thrift! I will definitely be posting more thrifting videos. I appreciate your kind words❤️
Tracy, just saw your video and I truly liked the Consignment shop ,all the coats I liked. Thx for saving us who shop consignment and thrift stores the trip😊 Morris County to me have very nice clothes however some have closed since Covid. Currently I haven’t seen any good thrift so thanks again for the trips❤

Thanks for sharing your try on outfits from different thrift stores. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you! I had so much fun thrifting in this area.
Loved this video Tracy! When you visit that third shop in Hunterdon, I hope that it is the Habitat for Humanity Restore at 24 Main Street in Clinton. It is a very worth while experience and proceeds from shop sales go towards helping working families, seniors and veterans with home repairs, financial empowerment and safe, secure housing. I used to thrift shop. Seeing this got my juices flowing again. I appreciate the contentt
My pleasure! Yes, go thrift you something ❤️
Your video popped up into the queue and I said to myself, 'Oh this is going to be good'. But I looking and can't believe the store is so trifling that the items aren't even cleaned or brushed off. So far, it's looking too shabby for me to purchase anything.
@@sharonqaranivalu5152 hi there! Yes, the first store was not the best. I love the second store and would definitely be back to visit. Thanks for watching❤️
Idk what made me watch this. I guess because I live in NJ too. I’ve tried to go to a thrift store in the past and got dizzy. I have a hard time with the searching through racks. When you went to the shoes first, my first thought was “SEE! That’s why I can’t do it. They not gonna play in my face”😅 you found really good stuff at the consignment shop though. Hats off to you!
I get it some people can’t stand the search. If you are looking for certain items in particular I would try websites like Poshmark or The RealReal for used clothing items. My expectation was super high when I seen the sign for the shoes but then I was disappointed. 😂. Thanks for watching❤️
You hit the jackpot on that consignment shop!🎉
Right!? I love everything I purchased. Thanks for watching❤️
New subscriber 💚so glad I came across your channel. I love thrifting and gardening. New gardener but loving it.

That Talbot's coat is gorgeous!
Right!? I just added a maxi wool coat to my 2025 wishlist and found one in less than a week! I’m so excited to style it. Thank you for watching ❤️

Hi Tracy, I love the beaver coat. It's so elegant. If you're going to wear fur, vintage is the way to go. Mature means classic design to me, mot necessarily older woman.
Yes, there’s nothing like a vintage fur. I only have one but would definitely add another one to my collection. I can see mature meaning more classic. I guess I’m referring to the demographic the brand markets to… thank you so much for watching ❤️

The jeans you tried on were likely junior’s, so you can’t go by the size on the tag. Thrifting is more about fit rather than size.
You are absolutely right, that’s a good tip! I have to train myself to continue to focus on the fit. Thanks for watching ❤️
I’m not gon hold you I need to hit that first store for some work pants and blouses. I work at social services 😂😂😂
The first one could be a hit or miss. Yes, I agree you could go for some work items. Thanks for watching ❤️
A Google search on my end and post on FB yielded more than one thrift store in Hunterdon County.

I liked the 2nd one, the consignment shop. Seemed nicer to shop, seemed to be friendly.
I haven't checked your channel yet, will after this comment. Do you just look for thrift & consignment? I ask because the is a Salvation Army in Passaic, they get a lot of names, but you really have to spend time and look. Not giing to lie it can be hit or miss. The have color codes for different days where the price drops. I think their delivery day is Tuesday, but not sure. I bought an Ethan Allen childs bedroom for $80.
The staff at The Consignment Shop were super friendly! I have shopped Salvation Army before but never in Passaic. $80 is a great deal for quality furniture. Thanks for watching ❤️

New England seems to have lots of good tableware. Some of very rich got that way being cheap. they wear their preppy clothes to rags. Upper middle class thrift/Goodwill might be better. I lost out on rare oyster plates in Maryland as I had no cash on me and they did not take the card at that time. This is really an era for good tableware at any and all thifts, dinnerware of fine makers.
Thanks for the tip! I have to start looking at the tableware. Thank you for watching ❤️

You are absolutely right about synthetic fabrics, Tracy. Im a runner who never bought into the marketing lie that Nike started. ( nike is the biggest thieving, expensive, fast fashion corp around) The idea that plastic wicks away sweat and breaths holds no logic.
Now my 25 yr old son is finally listening to his mama and wearing cotton, said his backne is going away.
We all should always wear cotton as the first layer next to our skin.

I don't know anything about New Jersey. I'm from Virginia. And the rich counties or places where there is a lot of prosperity high earners generational wealth. Multi-generational wealth. Most of those people have housekeepers or domestic workers. And they just give it to them to either take the thrift store or take. They don't bother themselves by dropping off stuff at the store.😂😂😂😂 So it makes sense. I am 50 and my grandmother was a domestic worker for a while and that is how we have a lot of antiques. They were given to her by her employer. He even gave her a car that he didn't want anymore. She didn't even work for him for a long time.😂😂😂😂😂. For rich people, everything is disposable.
I love that for them! I’m sure they work extremely hard so we won’t turn down free items. Thank you for watching❤️
